How good/bad are the headlights of the 200NS , say compared to a FZ ?
Any additional details on the bulb and alternator wattage would be great.
With the recent lacklustre downgrade to FZ (and hence by induction, the upcoming Fazer), the 200NS is firmly on my radar, but I am light freak - was planning to attach two projectors to the Fazer. So I want to explore the possibilities on this front on the NS.

Stock Headlight on ns uses a 60/55 w blub which is more than enough...
If you are a light freak go for proper projector setup..

Hello,
P200ns has better light and throw is good compared to FZ. It comes with 12v H4 bulb 55/60 watts headlight.
10000 kms. Completed in around 7 months.
Bike is still like brand new and engine is smooth having great throttle response.

This question might sound irrational, but just curious. Does lean AFR cause low mileage? Any minor possibilities.
P.s- Throttle control for mileage works like a breeze. Now i'm getting an average of 37.6kmpl(Under occasional red-lining, Thank you for your valuable help guys!
I feel the same thing when i lean the mixture it gives less mileage..
Still dont understand UCD33 carb working.. RE std500 share the same carb ,when i ask what is the factory/normal setting turn.. He said 4/5 turns..
Many times i feel 200ns mileage is unpridictable.. Recently i ride 25km @120kph it gives 33kmpl and suddenly in city it give 32kmpl earlier he used to give 37-39kmpl ..
Max. i got 42kmpl min. 29kmpl

I ride my bike in the 4K to 5.5K RPM range and I get around 45 kmpl, the lowest I've seen is 39 kmpl.
I am definitely not babying my bike but at the same time don't go WOT at the traffic lights or open roads.
Once in a while I do like to reach 8K RPM, and its a thrill.
All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Wow thats a quiet great digit you are getting, lucky you. I'm getting 37kmpl max and 33kmpl less. But 80% of times i'm with pillion and normally i'm on 80 kmph. I thinks its obvious i'm getting 35kmpl average.
