If you ride mostly alone, with the occasional pillion, keep the pressure to 28-30 PSI. But if you ride at least once a day with a pillion keep 32 PSI.
I personally keep 30 [ single, with pillion i keep 32], since both my tyres are soft compound tyres.
If you're on the euro-grips keep pressure under check. [ keep 28 PSI] If you put too much [ most petrol bunk people wont ask and put the pressure to 36!], the contact patch of the tyre can become less, bit risky since those tyres are hard compound and so tend to slip more easier than soft compound.

On a different note, for those who want a cheaper alternative to their tyres, check out TVS- ATT 430 tyres. Its a soft compund tyre, front tyre costs around 1600/- Rear i believe is around 2500/- The tyres are available in stock sizes.

Ive been using them with pirelli sport demons in the rear for the past 3 weeks [did a bit of touring on those. On highways, ghats, little offroad, the lot.]

Review after 3000 kms: Superb considering its cost. Gives the front end a planted feel, and since both tyres are soft compound, it copes very well with the pirellis actually.. Has finally lead me to believe TVS tyres arent all that bad..
      Attaching a pic of it..

P.S: Rear tyre has the same design but without the central rib.. and of course wider..

P.P.S: My euroslips lasted around 24500 kms if anyone wants to know, Which is A LOT.. and it still had some 2mm of central rib groove..Seriously, i dont know what they make these things out of..

TPS gives a hint to ignition-system about incoming AFR in next fraction of second or so is my understanding.

While batting(Cricket) I would really appreciate if umpire hints me about next ball(bouncer/slower/cutter/swinger).

          • Re: 200NS: Very strange issue with acceleration

I would like to add my 2 cents for what it is worth...TPS is for varying the ignition timing based on throttle position. If the sensor is two way switch like in RTR or Pulsars then there are nly two different timings. If the TPS is continuously variable like in Karizma and Unicorn, then the variation is continuously variable die to the TPS being a continuously variable Resistor....that said misfiring takes place due to either weak spark or lean AFR ....
If any Carburetor fed engine feels out of breath at mid RPM then the Throttle needle may be raised by 0.4~0.6 mm to get better mid range fuel delivery...

Hi skv, it might be too early to comment as its been 150KMS since the change. But so far here are my observations.
Good grip, better braking (in dry), planted feel.

Just feel the front to be heavier , not sure if its the size(110) or the grip.

Been waiting for rains to check the wet/slush drip..still waiting.

Offroad'n ;- OK (didn't do much of it)

Brother its neither fuel or air screw.. its volume control screw that we adjust. .. Both fuel and air screw are factory set.. We control only amount of fuel going through from carb to engine..

                  hi Guys,
This is a hands-on review of michelin street radials and I also need some help with a problem I am having.
Finally completed around 1000 Kms and 1 month on my Michelin street radials.
Total cost of both front+rear came upto around 7500 with fitting included. No exchange.
The performance has improved drastically and I don't fear rains and gravel anymore.
The rear tyre sticks to the road like glue and the handling has also improved a fair bit.
Definitely, a little costly but worth it, IMHO.
Have also tried the rev-z range on my roomies ride and even they are way way better than the stock eurogrips.

Now the Issue that I am facing:

The screw holding together my right hand side leg-guard is broken and one half of the screw is stuck inside the holder itself.
What to do in such a scenario...?
Folks from bangalore, Please suggest a proper shop to get it extracted around BTM, JP Nagar, Hosur Road and kormangala.
I need to get it fixed before I start going on rides again. Went on a short 150km ride last weekend and it was frustrating to say the least.

                        Hi everyone,

I am riding pulsar 200 ns since Sep 2012 so its 1.5 yrs of riding till now. I have done 15000 kms till date.
I have a problem with my bike for which I want experienced riders and seniors to help me out.

The problem is that my bike vibrates a bit at lower speeds and even the sound of bike is not pleasing. A rattling sound comes from engine at rpm lower than 6000 which is very very unpleasant. This problem is from the first day itself. But the service center guys always told me that its just fine. Every bike is similar.
But recently I managed to ride new pulsar 200 ns (3 months old) , and i felt that it was very refined and even the sound was neat and good.

So please can anyone help me out what to do and how to tackle this problem with svc.

Hello respective xbhpians, I am Richard from Pune. I have recently purchased my NS black and blue on the 7th of June and have riden just above 450kms.. I'm really excited to be a part of such a big community and a thread especially for all the owners of this beauty. Small world I must say and the professional advice on tyres, oil changes, AFR, spark plugs and so on have just filled me with so much knowledge which I thought I would never learn else where..

Coming to my buying experience. I was riding a CBZ Star 2006 model and was the first love of my life. After quiet some years I bought a car after which the bike would only be used on weekends. A few months ago I saw the NS parked near my house and loved it at first sight and thought of taking a test ride just for fun with no intentions of buying one. Went to Sai Service, Fugewadi, Pune and asked for a test ride for which they removed a brand new one since they din have one on display or for a test ride. Felt confident with the seating posture and height and took a 4km ride after which I also rode the p 220 and had a fair experience. Came home, started reading on xbhp. The strange part was, I did not even think of buying it but was just reading for fun sake. I read some awesome reviews posted here and thought, what if I get one? Then finally I decided to buy one for myself. Thought I could use it for a performance biking experience during weekends. I wanted a bike with a higher torque and ahead in technology. Finally went back to the Sai service showroom and booked one on May 26th. OTR - 95K. Waited till 7th June as I was totally involved with work and I did not have time.

I took the delivery on 7th June and brought it home. Took it to church and got it blessed the next day. Was very excited with the new ride. The torque, power and stability gave me so much confidence on road that I felt my decision would never be more correct.

I have gone through a lot of pages on this thread and I have been following the steps of the runin procedure. Its 470 on the ODO today and the service spanner notification has lit up on the dial.

The problems I have faced so far is the same as Viks described in his earlier post where the bike feels like going into reserve when wind hits the bike from opposite direction. I have been having the same issue since day 1 but thought the engine being new, its a minor problem. Seems a lot more different than I thought. God bless this forum for people like you who help in such events.
The second problem is the suspension feels hard or may be the front tyre. I'm not sure. I can feel every small pot hole on the darn road and its very frustrating. My wrists begin to ache after a while. I guess its the tyre pressure that's causing this. I have been filling the recommended tyre pressure mentioned in the manual on the euro grips. Just read above, have to reduce it to 28 psi from 30 which I will do it tomorrow and feel the difference. Rest all is well.

Sorry for such a long post but I couldn't resist posting my experience with you'll and being a part of such a prestigious family. Thank you.

Welcome bro and congrats for your NS.Yup bajaj made NS one of a kind,a big salute.I also did research on NS from this forum before buying it.Beginning of this forum was discouraging with posting of lots of problem popping out but later on they put remedy too.By the time dual tone step up it was much-much reliable bike.As for pain in wrist it still persist,i think it's more cuz of a tight clutch. As for a comfort its better than duke 200,for pot hole you can ride slowly or stand up.

                              Hi Naman,
I bought my bumblebee last November. I am also experiencing the same problem. For me, the problem occurs till 3rd gear only;after that bike is smooth. So I think there is not much difference between 2012 models and 2013 models as of engine is considered. May be senior xbhpians can help us regarding this.
