Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Coneset is now totalled at 2 years / 30k kms of ownership. Front wheel bearings are making a weird rubbing sound. The front wheel is not very free. Maybe this is the reason why the bike feels like i need to drop a gear as soon as i hit a slightly sloping ground.
How many people here have changed coneset / wheel bearings and at what km mark?
P.S update on front tyre. Michelin pilot sporty 100/80-17 absolutely sucks in wet. Tyre is 6k km old. Dry grip is a notch below the michelin pilot street and pirelli. This one freakin hydroplanes in a wet corner and feels scary to incline even a little bit. Comparable to the stock tyre in wet condition.
Update on rear tyre. Faced the first puncture today on my dunlop tuff grip 140/70-17. Tyre is 1 year and 10k kms old. Looks like it's got another 10k kms of life left. True to its name this tyre is tough and has decent grip in dry as well as wet. No complaints whatsoever. For the price i got it for (2.8k during that time) the grip and life is worth it but there's a small yearning for more now. So the next upgrade will be to a michelin pilot street radial 140/70-17 and a custom 42T sprocket along with that, tyre for the grip & looks and sprocket for the acceleration.

For front MRF zapper FX, the fz-s front Tyre would be a good opinion and For the rear MRF revs-s, the R15 v2 rear Tyre would be ideal and it is affordable and absolutely worth the price. Planing to change mine after 10k kms.
FYI- I've no experience on tyres, but the above mentioned has been used by many people in this thread and it has got good reputation.Last edited by shek15; 07-07-2014, 10:41 PM.

Get some hard compound tyres for Leh , abuse it. Once you are back, get good tyres.Originally posted by nupulsar View PostMy Stock NS tyres are started losing grip they are started to convert from eurogrip to euroslip

You can try Ceat Vertigo, I ve seen few people who have put on D390 and D200 for the purpose of riding to Leh .

Did you mean aesthetics or functionality? Both seem to have the similar stem lengths too.Originally posted by bondarun View PostJust get Duke mirrors..
They go well with our bike...
I would like my bike to have a slightly taller and wider RVM, as of now I can most of my arms. All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Both are not the same...
The Height might be the same but its not widder... Duke RVM are wider and covers more distance...
NS rvm is just a plane mirror, Duke is Kind of lens... Am happy with Duke rvm.. They don't flap back at high speed like NS mirror does..
They cost around 450rs for both... Also the mirror shape and style goes with our bike easily...

Thanks for the input, I've never experienced any flapping or distortion in my mirrors. But then I've not gone beyond 120 kmph.Originally posted by bondarun View PostBoth are not the same...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
They are stock levers only...
You can sandblast them or buff it up...
sandblast will cost you around 150~200rs which gives perfect result
Buffing will cost you under 100rs, which give some scratches on the levers and later while driving u will get some ash like thing on ur fingers..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi all, just a small query, my bike has completed 2000kms after the last oil change, I'm using the normal bajaj oil , when I looked at the oil level check window thing on the engine, I noticed that the oil was still golden yellow colour, I expected it to be black after 2000kms , should I change now ?

Pulsar 200 NS Rear Mono Shock Problem
Hi guys,
This is my first post to xbhp.
Actually I had an issue with my pulsar 200 ns (2 week old).
Current odo=610 kms. First service done.
I gave my bike to service center in Nerul, Navi Mumbai.
I had a problem with rear mono shock ( some squeaky noise is coming ), and i told about this issue to the SVC guy.
He removed the swing arm bush and lubricated it.
Delivered the bike after service. But after coming home i realised the noise is still there, so i went back to svc again on the same day.
He then removed the the nail holding the swing arm, lubricated it and placed it back. he vigorously pushed the bike from top to rectify the mono shock problem but he was unable to resolve it.
So in the whole and sole process, i found that the height of my bike has tremendously got down than earlier.
I compared my bike with same bike in my society and it found this
right one is mine)
The height actually got lowered down and i can feel it while riding.
I am very confused and tensed and dont know what to do.

Is this a problem due to faulty mono shock? Will the height get restored back to earlier after replacing the mono shock assembly?? or is there any other way to increase the height...i think it happend because the mechanic pushed the bike vigorously from back... dont know!!
Plz reply..
