Thanks for telling me. Any remaining chance of going with Duke has vanished now!

        Sounds better now!

All depends on the test ride now.

Any idea how much my FZ should fetch? Feb 2009, 30k km. Odo display spoiled due to water. New Dunlop on the rear.

Brought this bike just because I liked it, but later it became my religion, sadly we mated in final year of my college so, not that much run and now it stands only beneath a cover.
5800km includes two trip of 500kms, so overall my daily run resulted in 4800kms only.

Its a pity that you couldn't ride it as much as you or ur ride would have wished for. Life's like that. But its nice you still love it, it's as good as brand new afterall.

                • oiled?

                  Guys something weird happened today!

I had my front disc and rim trued about a couple of months ago, The metal screeching sound kept coming back, the svc guys dissembled the brake and rubbed the calipers with sand paper and the sound disappeared for a fortnight. It started squeaking again now and then. It became quite frequent these days, so I mentioned it today while they were lubing chain.

The guy applied some chain lube on the bearings saying that could be bearings only but not disc and said he couldn't hear any noise from brakes actually.. I asked him to take a ride and check. When he was moving out of svc I did hear a squeal, he came back after a couple of min and said he din hear any sound at all. I was curious and took the bike for a TD and I drove the bike this time.. There was no sound!!!

I am pretty sure I heard it when I started from home and even when the guys were taking it into svc point. But nothing after he returned! The svc guys behaved like they never heard any noise from bike!

I feel these guys are messing some thing... Is there any chance there could be some foul play!?

Edit: I felt like the brakes have lost bite while returning home(Couldn't confirm). Is it possible that he might have sprayed some lube spray on disc to make the sound disappear?

bro there's your nice & slow run in being done at 0:47 in the vid, applies to all motorcycles that come out of factory.

this guy has never overhauled an engine himself in his life
if overhauled 1 engine atleast 4 times and tried this method
                      didnt work
my power didnt increase, it just decreased
the bike didnt go over 110
but when i ran it in properly and then started ripping it after 2500kms it went to 135
                      talking about a honda unicorn
you definitely need to open the engine to max once its runned in otherwise it will never get used to going fast
                      see, its just logic
if your engine is tight and you rip it along with the piston even the rings will get scraped and youll loose compression but if you ride gently your rings will wear gently only where needed not causing any scratches on the liner and also allowing a carbon seal to form in the small gaps even the gaps that you cant see
if the engine is loose and assembled by the factory the clearance is already more than normal and is good to rip but your power wont increase and your rings wont wear so much and also the carbon seal wont get time to form
even a loose engine needs running in to match the piston and ring grooves with the liner
so small groves that you cant see which are all around the rings and piston and also once the rings find its seating it will never turn inside the engine
if the rings turn and change their position the blow by from the 1st ring budding will find its way easily through the second ring

Replaced the engine oil of my bike. I had hard luck finding 20w50 Motul and Shell. So had to settle with Valvoline 20w50 4T Premium Semi -Synthetic. Mrp was 355 for 1 ltr. Got it at Rs 320 per litre. Grabbed two bottles. Once read an article that this engine oil feels close to that of Motul. But has low drain interval of 2500 km . Lets see how much life and feel does it have. Someone shed some light. Thanks

Even i am having the same disc brake noise with rear brake after 5800 km. Opening and cleaning the disc calipers will definitely reduce the brake bite and noise too. Keep using the brakes a little more and the bite will be back soon.
                          I am loving my NS

Damn why did bajaj started selling ns in those not so good lukin dual tones......
I wish i could buy in the original yellow, it looks stunning in that colour.

Has anybody bought aftermarket exhaust for 200ns..??
I like the sound from the stock configuration, but it wud even better if i cud find an ehaust with deeper/bassy exhaust note...
