No, I meant I am blinded by them. And does the bulb help you see in front of you when the opposing traffic's glare is decreasing visibility?

Actually, yes.. As long as you try to not look at the glare directly, you will be easily able to see the road in front..

Since there is lot of confusion for which bulb to upgrade, i am giving you a list of options available in Philips and comparison.

Note that i am in no way related to philips.

Got the center stand fitted in my Pulsar 200NS today.

The 200NS center stand/main stand is priced at 542 INR (475.44 + 59.43 VAT + 0.97 SAT) in Ghaziabad (UP). The labor cost for fitting the stand was 100 INR + 12.36 service tax.

The other expenses during the first service were the following:

              engine oil (bajaj DTSi 10000 - 450 INR (394.74 + 49.34 VAT + 5.92 SAT)
              Oil Filter - 73.99 INR (64.91 + 8.11 VAT + SAT 0.97)

Total cost for the first free service of Bajaj Pulsar 200NS was INR 1209 that included the purchase of center stand as an accessory + fitting charges.

Infact i today read for the first time, what is written on the pouch containing tool kit. It says the tool kit is same for all pulsars.

This according to me is a cost cutting measure since i also have the earlier tool kit of P150, which is clearly different and the old one also had a spanner for rear shock absorber adjustment, which is missing in this new one.

It is really difficult to source that rear shockup adjustment spanner.

this is absurd! if a bike standard tool kit doesn't have a tool to do a basic job like tightening RVMs, it is useless. I have included 2 separate spanners from my old pulsar's kit in the 200 NS's kit.

if you happen to ride more in foggy/rainy conditions, then go for a bulb that gives yellowish light. The bluer light tends to be reflected more by water droplets, making the visibility less than optimal during rain/fog.

I have exactly same tools too and no Allen key. I found them to be useless. I had to buy a few tools for doing things like removing the oil drain bolt, adjust RVMs etc.

I have been using Osram Nightbreaker BILUX H4 60/55W bulb for the past two years. The low beam gives normal light while the high beam gives a more whitish light.
                  Colour Temperature 3500 K
                  Luminous ouput 1650 lumens / 1200 lumens (60/55)

From my personal experience, on a clear night, the high beam lights up signboards as far as 250 metres away and objects as far as 125-150 metres. Of course, it also depends on the size, colour, shape of the objects as well, and the beam focus and our eye sight.
Your bike is a part of you....

My bikes done 8K now. How would you guys suggest comparing the Hero HX250 bike to the Pulsar 200ns ? I wanted to get the new pulsar 390 but am deciding not to go for it most prob. The road tax goes up if it's above 250. How's the resale value for the NS peoples ?

I asked them what is that optional fitment? They said its saree guard. Does it costs that much? And i asked them for main stand and they said they will give it for free as an offer.

That's weird, I didn't know prices were that high. I bought a Black/White Dual Tone for INR 94,500 which included a Saree Guard.

Just took delivery about two days back, very very happy. Although I feel like the tires are slipping, maybe it's because they're new.

Saree guard IS NOT A OPTIONAL/ACCESSORY.
                              it comes prefitted.
Svc is making you a fool.
Centre stand is optional ,costs around 600₹ with Labour.

Ditto! Saree guard cannot be optional in India, at least as now! the center stand is an accessory, got it for a little over 500 rupees including service charges. Check my previous post today on this thread.

So the Pulsar 200NS is cheaper in Mumbai/MH than in UP! I paid 96,350 for a dual tone one 2 weeks back.
