Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Perhaps the transportation cost was much more than the state taxes. MH would have very minimal transportation costs as the bike is manufactured there.Originally posted by sunilg View Postnot really! Though transportation charges do play a role in overall cost of the bike, the state taxes are generally the bigger factor that affect the price.
I know! what i meant to convey was my surprise over the lesser taxes in MH compared to UP/Delhi-NCR as generally the taxes are much higher there; for example, compare the petrol prices.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
In Delhi ? 1800 or 1900 INR. A friend got it fitted yesterday, along with Michelin radial 140/70.Originally posted by nadz11.ns View PostAny idea on what is the present price of Zapper FX1 tyre ?
Most front tyres of 100/80 are priced around 1700-2000 max.

10k is too much considering the fact that it was just 16000km old bike at the time of service...Originally posted by rattlehead View PostFinished my 5th service over a month back.
ODO reading during service 16250 kms.
Replaced the following:
Filled engine oil Motul 7100 1.4L
Chain Sprocket set
Oil Filter
Fuel Filter
Coneset w/ spacer
Fork Oil
Diaphragm w/ slide
Ignition Lock set as I had lost a key in college
Clutch cable set
Acc cable set
Spark plug main along with slaves (total 3)
along with Labour
Came upto a total of 10k
Bike is now almost new, felt like I was taking it out of the showroom for the first time.
Next major replacements to lookout for during the coming service (approx 21k+) :
Tyres: TVS ATT230R set
Clutch plates
Current reading 18k
Current problem is that my RPM needle is vibrating a lot, is it possible to fix this?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
GUys has anyone fixed a flyscreen or a windscreen to aid in avoiding windblast during touring.
Have seen a thread for flyscreen fitment done on Duke200 in the DIY thread. They have fitted a CBR250 windscreen in Duke200. Any idea a similar or something else can be done for 200NS.
Any suggestions with pics will be helpful.
Cheers

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yes. But, it might be mostly because of the V.A.T differences... Some states dont have it for some products [ MT helmets are a little more cheaper if you buy them from [SPG] chennai because there is no V.A.T on them]Originally posted by sunilg View PostI know! what i meant to convey was my surprise over the lesser taxes in MH compared to UP/Delhi-NCR as generally the taxes are much higher there; for example, compare the petrol prices.
Then again.. There are dealers who add the transportation cost if they are sub dealers.. Must have been the case maybe.

Have been on the lookout for a visor for my NS for quite some time now. There are a couple of folks who manufacture and supply visors for the Pulsar NS. Rtm designs and Hindustan Motorcycle. Look them up on Facebook for their contact details. Had contacted RTM designs via whatsapp but they were out of stock. Had emailed the Hindustan Motorcycle folks enquiring about their stock and received a response but am yet to receive a reply since the last week about a couple of things that I had asked them via email.Originally posted by emm View PostGUys has anyone fixed a flyscreen or a windscreen to aid in avoiding windblast during touring.

They also used to have brackets (in their pics on Facebook) for luggage on the NS but seems they stopped making them.
The NS is a seriously good bike for touring but am very surprised at the lack of accessories / aftermarket parts for it. A good visor / windshield, rear rack for carrying bags / supporting saddlebags and foglamps possibly with their own power source would help transform this "Transformer" into a very good bike for really long distances
If anyone knows where we can get aftermarket fitments for the NS, pls post!! Ride safeLast edited by a_poor_blind_kid; 11-06-2014, 01:03 PM.a poor blind kid

a_poor_blind_kid:Thanks for the info bro!! I searched on FB and found Hindustan Motorcycles but was not so fortunate with RTM Designs. The pics on the FB page sugests they have done some work with NS Touring accesories.Couple of pics that we will be interested in are
These guys are from Chennai and by the looks of location they have shot the pics, they might be students in SRM University. Wonder if these guys are in our forum.
deep007 you can check out the pics for suggestions.
This will definitely make NS a complete package for touring.
Cheers

Current problem is that my RPM needle is vibrating a lot, is it possible to fix this?Yeah it was a tad high, mainly because of items and the respective labour costs for things like sprocket change, cone set and also opening up the engine for tappet adjustment and checking the wear and remaining life of clutch plates.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View Post10k is too much considering the fact that it was just 16000km old bike at the time of service...

My diaphragm replacement was also long overdue and I also had an additional item, the lock set which had to be installed.
