Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Cheaper maybe because of less transportation charges as production plant is in pune ??Originally posted by sunilg View Post
So the Pulsar 200NS is cheaper in Mumbai/MH than in UP!
I paid 96,350 for a dual tone one 2 weeks back.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The total cost of the bike differs from state to state as there are state taxes [read road tax and insurance] which apply to the cost of the vehicle. In Karnataka the taxes are generally higher. I paid 1,01,300 for my bike 1.5 years back. Out of which the bike actually costed rs 75392/- [ rs 86323/- when you add 14.5% V.A.T] The rest was registration and insurance..Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostCheaper maybe because of less transportation charges as production plant is in pune ??

I asked them what is that optional fitment? They said its saree guard. Does it costs that much? And i asked them for main stand and they said they will give it for free as an offer.
Like everyone else said. The saree guard is mandatory on any two wheeler as a rule. Therefore, not an optional accessory.
They're giving you that free center stand to justify the cost. Just ask them to cut the excess 200/-

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Folks i am planning michelin pilot street radial for front nd rear....
But i am worried if it will affect the handling of the bike since it is not stock size, i believe pilot street front is 110/70 and rear is 140/70 while the stock is 100/80 front nd 130/70 rear,
I am ok with slightly reduced acceleration due to the slightly taller gearin, just want to know if it will affect the handling becuz i dont want to part with it.

Not 200₹ ,but 900₹.Originally posted by razr View PostThe total cost of the bike differs from state to state as there are state taxes [read road tax and insurance] which apply to the cost of the vehicle. One size bigger tyres are generally okay. They do change the ride quality a little in terms of acceleration and handling + ride height. But you'll get a bigger contact patch and higher traction though I think the bikes cornering ability will be affected a bit.
But its quite common to see one size bigger tyres than stock on a motorcycle but make sure the tyre edges don't touch the swing arm in the rear and that the wheels spin freely after installing the tyre and that the side walls of the tyres are not bigger than stock.

I guess the sidewall of michelin is obviously going to bigger than the stock.Originally posted by Balgi View PostOne size bigger tyres are generally okay. Cuz from what i know 130/70, 70 here means the side wall thickness, 70% of 130mm (stock)which is obviously going to be less than the 70% of 140mm (michelin p street)
The difference will be about 7 imo....but i can be wrong, maybe somebody who has nore knowledge on this subject can helpLast edited by Gunjit Singh; 11-05-2014, 11:32 AM.

You can get the pilot street in stock sizes.
I got one fitted on mine. Its out for servicing, will post the details for you when i get it back. Though i has to scout around a little before i could find one in stock sizes. Had to contact 3 4 shops for getting the right size.
Still try and get pirellis if you can. cost difference is not much but they are a cut above the rest.

Lol the last time i checked on michelins site, pilot street wasnt available in 130 section!!Originally posted by rishabh153 View PostHi Gunjit,

Now the only thing left to see here is how is the curvature on these tyres...
The reason why i dont wanna lose my handling is becuz i love riding in the hills and obviously i dont want the tyre to hit its edge preety soon into the corner.
And the stock eurogrip has nice curvature which when warmed up is pretty gud in corners...well gud enuf for me cuz im no pro just a novice rider who likes corners 😃
And how ur experience with pilot street ??
Did u change the front as well ?Last edited by Gunjit Singh; 11-05-2014, 11:59 AM.

They might not have updated the website.
Even i was not aware i could get one. I couldn't find it online But I got it through authorized michelin dealer.
I dont know if they are talking about tubeless or not here. The one that i have is tubeless.
Even i went looking for 140/70 but changed my mind at the last moment.

I did. My Euroslips got 4 punctures in a day and that did it.Originally posted by Gunjit Singh View PostDid u change the front tyre as well??

The experience in wet has been exemplary. I dont do corners as such and am more of a stable cruising(80-90kmph for hours) kind of person.
The handling and performance as expected has been top notch.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
not really! Though transportation charges do play a role in overall cost of the bike, the state taxes are generally the bigger factor that affect the price.Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostCheaper maybe because of less transportation charges as production plant is in pune ??
I know! what i meant to convey was my surprise over the lesser taxes in MH compared to UP/Delhi-NCR as generally the taxes are much higher there; for example, compare the petrol prices.Originally posted by razr View PostThe total cost of the bike differs from state to state as there are state taxes [read road tax and insurance] which apply to the cost of the vehicle.
