    Hi Guys,

Having issues with my rear, i get thud-thud sound at low speeds from the rear wheel or the chain after getting drenched in rain.
Not sure what it is , tried to check in neutral and on centre stand ...no issues there .

Well, what you can do is you can take the bike off the main stand and hold the rear end and just pull it up with a jerk. Do this and if you feel a small jerk on the bikes swing arm followed immediately by a light "khat" sound then it is time to repair the suspension.

Alternately try checking your suspension setting to see if it is set too hard and also check your tyre pressure to see if you're not over filling it.
Btw how old is your bike and how many kms have you covered so far? Also do you carry a pillion on a regular basis and/or ride on rough roads?

        Hope this helps. Cheers

              Hey guys
My NS rear tyre rotates even when the clucth lever is fully depressed but i can stop it with my hands though. So will there be any need to adjust the clutch play? Also im getting into neutral while shifting frm 1st to 2nd most of the time while riding but pretty diffcult to find neutral when not moving. So are thesr probs anyway related?

By wheel spinning do you mean while on the main stand. If so this is normal for some bikes. Don't know about ns.
Also take the bike to a mech and have the shifter adjusted to fix the neutral issue. Or you could just try finding 1st or 2nd gear instead of neutral to get the bike into neutral.

The tire rotation is normal as long as its not the same rotation speed when its in first gear.

And the neutral slip, its because the gear lever for our bikes are not adjustable. So after a while the connecting rod may expand, along with wear and tear in some of the bolts/ holes for it, holding it in place. So the free play in the gear lever is much more than required. Meaning, you'll have to push the lever harder to slot into the next gear. Which in turn causes the slip into neutral [since you're pushing it normally]. You can see this if you just check the free play of the lever. It'll be wobbling all over the place. Either Fix/replace it or try to get some other adjustable lever which will fit properly. I've heard the duke's gear lever will just about fit.

Tyre rotation is common in wet clutch bikes and it is nothing to be worried about.
As for the neutral issue, my bike shows that issue if it requires an oil change. Also, I found in my friend's ns that the screw holding the gear lever becomes loose with age. Tightening it solved the neutral issue for him...

Hey thanx fr the reply everyone. Yea it just rotate when in centre stand only.
About the netral issue i am having that frm the frst day itslf. Sometimes the gear feeels sooo smooth as butter sometimes its rough and neutral issues. Just got used to it and always gives more force when shifting frm 1st gear.. thinking of going for an oil change frm bajaj to motul 3100. Hope that makes a change

Oh, then its fine.. the gear box takes a while to smoothen out [bajaj oil makes it worse] .. no worries there.. You'll notice a difference once you change oil..

Motul 3100 is good but why not try motul 300v? Its got good reviews.

Coming to the point they was a photo where the new ns has got new tires mrf zapper correct me if I am wrong. So when to check with a new dealer close to my home!!!! 😁 they ns still has the eurogrips and had only white dual tone bike so just asked about finances and other documental issues and came back but today the bike looked so beefier it was like OMG!!! Didn't have the heart to leave it in come. 😢 and the other news is there tax reduction in vehicles inthe new budget 😋 so waiting for the new price list of the ns hope the ss will also be launched by then. I think the whole post may sound OT 😉

My bike is 1.3k on odo. So isnt it too early to change to full synthetic??

No not really. Its about what you're comfortable with. There's a guy on this forum who has only used mineral oil in his NS and is quite comfortable with it. But I am more comfy with fs oil. Its a matter of choice. But no it is not too early.
Correct me if I am wrong but your run in period is 1000kms from buying the bike right?
