it could be your shock absorbers.....check the nitrox in it..to confirm its the shock ab....try to sit on the bike with the engine off...and wiggle your hip side to side or sit hard such that it applies pressure on the shock abs that it goes down and up........i had the same prob with my front shock absorbers in my stunner...oil was low in it...

        Thanks
that white stain is permanent if you have used wax polish on matt black part .. you only have to use dashboard polish which seems to be oily when applied .. black shoe polish will also work but will not last long and will not give you uniform shine like the dashboard polish ..

        • does the engine get turned off at 136+ speeds

Guys, I've been followin this thread from day 1 and now as it reaches its 286th page, I'm gonna get my bumblebee!!
I paid Rs 93,992 onroad at pioneer bajaj trivandrum and the delivery is tomorrow.
The technician here told me that when the bike is revved above 136kmph the engine gets turned off and we can start it only after it's cooled down.I confirmed with the senior sales rep.He told me the same thing. Please shed some light on this topic.

Yes even my bike has mild lines till now also, completed 800kms....so dont be sure that these lines means bike is fresh...

it can be locked only on left side .... dont know why bajaj did this...locking both sides would have been better.

Also guys one more issue i have noticed these days is when u are downshifting from 6-5-4-3... sometimes the lever becomes almost free and doesn't downshift to the next lower gear.... again ul have to let the gear engage and then downshift, that time it works.... i am not sure why this issue as u should be able to downshift continuosly..... any ideas other owners?

But u can try on some other banks, preferably Pvt Banks(but Interest will be higher in that case; and their recovery procedure will also be very stringent)
                Best of luck..
Dada.. Trying.. applied in HDFC.. that is the bank in which my salary gets credited.. so fingers crossed..!!

I feel your pain brother.. Let me tell you a lil story, MY story. Way back in Feb I realised that my R15 was not the bike for me (had ridden 39,000km in 2 years of ownership), was looking for something comfortable, smooth, fast and easy on the pocket maintenance wise. The CBR 250R seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Secondly, I wanted the bike on my birthday(July 27th) to make it a special occassion. Had planned everything out, including finding a buyer for the R15 who perfectly said he needs time till July to arrange the money. Worked for me coz I had a lot of financial debt that I wanted to clear by this time too.

Now fast forward to June, I was beginning to put the plan in place. Decided that 1.7lakh would be a lil too much for me to handle, so settled on the CBR 150R. Booked the bike and everything. Then came all the bad stuff.. Bank execs not cooperating to collect my documents for the loan, the buyer saying he may not be able to buy my R15, and the Honda exec taking off for long leave, and my loan finally getting rejected for STUPID reasons! My buyer finally came through, I got 75k for the R15 out of which my plan was to clear my debts with 25k and put 50k as downpayment for the new bike, rest on finance. With the finance getting rejected, I had no alternative. My dad suddenly said he'll take the loan on his name for me! With all happpiness I submitted all docs, just for the loan to get rejected AGAIN for a STUPID reason that my dad is retired, although he has a good steady income from rent he receives from an apartment of ours. Literally gave up all hope of getting a new bike for a year or two..

My parents know how much my biking means to me, and having no bike was killing me from inside. I'd changed as a person. One fine day my mum suddenly told me to screw all the plans of getting finance and shit, and that my dad and her could give me 50k towards the bike. They said I could pay them back in installments. This is how I'm today waiting for my NS to arrive! (Delivery in the evening today). I do hope things work out for you somehow man! I know the pain that you're feeling after having dreams of riding your new steed only to have them crushed suddenly. All the very best!

Mods - Sorry for the OT.
This is my first bike and loan.. so getting it rejected felt all awful.. Thank you so much for the support.. Joined this job in the hopes of getting this one.. still.. applied in HDFC.. that is the bank in which my salary gets credited in.. so fingers crossed.. and.. thank you again personally a zillions times.. helped me come back.. and try again..!!

Try another bank... and it will be hassle free too coz the bike will be in your name from beginning...so no running around for ownership transfer after u repay the loan...
I tried that as well.. a debacle there too.. Personal loans interest loans are as high as 25%.. as they are unsecured loans, nothing in mortgage.. whereas.. two wheeler loan interest comes to around 11-13%.. applied in HDFC.. so fingers crossed..!!

@all-above: thank you so very much.. because of you all.. I could pull myself up and apply for loan again..!!

btw, is any dealer offering deliveries without TD.. and demanding for money as soon as possible.. mine is.. complained to Bajaj about this.. (Dealer: KLN Automobiles, Annanagar West, Chennai).

Godd to hear that you are not Down..
Since you have a salary account in that bank, so chances are bright.

About TD, the dealer must offer TD, unless they have a Specific TD vehicle.
And since there is rush for the new bike, so the dealer will favour others who will make the full payment at once..

                    Best of Luck, Buddy

+1 to that. Right said bro. The bike never turns off at or above any speed. The guys are talking nonsense when they tell something like that to a customer.

Regarding helmet.. 3100/- is not a bad price for the phobia but if you are a good bargainer I would suggest you to visit lalbagh road (Helmet Paradise - opposite Urvashi theater or Balaji Helmets) and you can bargain and get the price reduced out there.. Also, you'll have more options as well.
Post up on the helmets thread if you have further questions, thats the right place for answers..

                                Hi Govind,

Are you sure about the personal loan interest rate??
you can get personal loan in the range of 14 % Some banks have corporate offers through which you can get personal loan at 13.5% too..

One more things, in most of the banks you can repay the outstanding loan amout after 6 months.
Part payment option is available in Axis bank i think.

I guess you need to do more ground work on the personal loan part.
