Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro your tuning needs be done. Did you fiddle with the idle rpm screw. Take your bike to the svc centre and ask them to tune it at 1.6 CO reading from the 10mm bolt on the exhaust pipe after it leaves the engine. Dont worry nothing is wrong barring your carb tuning.Originally posted by *_*$hrikant*_* View PostHello Bros. lately my bike has been idling on 2400-2500 rpm after some riding but other times its stays is the 1400-1900 range but its is generally higher than what it used to be.what should i do to get it normal?
The normal reading is about 1100 cold idle and around 1500 when hot idle.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey Guys , i took my bike to service centre and they told me there is no leak from MonoShock as told to me by a roadside mechanic.
Issue:-Rear suspension too soft.
Symptoms:-
1) when i press rear of bike, it goes up and down without much resistance. Suspension actually bottoms out going all the way down.
2) rear suspension makes "whoosh whoosh" sound while going up and down, is this normal sound which comes from all NS Bikes?
i have checked other NS bikes and rear Suspension wount go down easily as it does on my bike, there is lot of resistance and suspension on those bikes is quite hard.
Solution by SS:- nothing to worry.
Guy at service also told me soft suspension is a good thing but i am confused because ride is quite bad on broken roads.if i ride with a pillion, i am cursed all through the ride for non-existent rear suspension.
how do i get this fixed?200NS 25K kms / RE500 7k kms / Electra 30k kms / P150 80K Kms(SOLD) / i10 40k Kms (SOLD) / Tata NEXON 2K Kms

As of my knowledge the damper seals are worn out, you can get you friends bike with you to compare and ask the svc to change it under warranty. If you bike is under 30K kms or 2 yearsOriginally posted by lnagr View PostHey Guys , i took my bike to service centre and they told me there is no leak from MonoShock as told to me by a roadside mechanic.

Harden the damper by turning the adjuster screw using C spanner, for more info refer manual. it has detail about which side to turn.Originally posted by lnagr View PostHey Guys , i took my bike to service centre and they told me there is no leak from MonoShock as told to me by a roadside mechanic.

Good to hear, but missed a carb clean?.Originally posted by GauravD View Postkrixna Ujjwal96 kany1991 xplod566 jbm_guy all others whom I bugged to the moon and back - Thank you all for your patience with my dime a dozen questions and for your valuable advice.
No offence guys, but krixna - special thanks to you for your continuous advice via whatsapp.
Today I spent the entire day sitting at my local guy getting my bike issues taken care of. And the experience post the work I will summarize in just 4 words - THE BEAST IS BACK !!!
List of tasks undertaken -
1. Timing chain replacement
2. New tensioner
3. Tappet adjustment
4. Washer solution by krixna
5. Reduced height by swingarm boring 15mm below existing hole
6. Accelerator cable change
7. Air filter change
8. Chain cleaning and lubing
9. Cone set adjustment
10. Clutch adjustment
11. Spark check
Pending item - CO setting which I will be going for on Tuesday
The bike seems to have gotten a new lease of life. The throttle has considerably smoothened out with a significant pick in the lower revs. I am running rich as of now due to new pilot jet position however CO tuning will take care of that so pick will increase even more. The lowering of the shocks has lent a considerable softness to the ride and the shocks seem to be functioning better. I am not expecting RE comfort but its way better. Thank you all of you for your assistance.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Looks brighter than stock. What is the lumens of this bulb?. Stock is ~ 1100-1300, while these night vision gives about 1600. I used LED which gave 2400 lumens....The only problem was, the color gets washed on sodium lights our on front of other halogen sources.....On dark streets, it will offer extreme vision....Originally posted by gunner143 View PostInstalled 40/20-hi/lo led h4 headlamp on my 200ns.
Illumination is noticably brighter that the stock headlight and the best part is that when u switch on the high beam you do not lose the low beam, that imo is a great advantage.
The beam is slightly high for my taste, can anybody post the pic of the screw that can be used lower it.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Imo it would be foolish to depend on the lumen count that is given a chinese manufacturer, these guys make exhorbant claims on wattage and lumen numbers.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostLooks brighter than stock. In comparison this led is brighter than the stock bulb and is on par with osram nightbreaker that i was using earlier.
But the moment you switch on to high beam, there is simply no comparison with halogen because the output is nearly doubled cuz dont lose your low beam with led.
But the halogens work better when its twilight or ur riding under streetlight. Its not really a big disadvantage for me because i dont really need a headlight when there is a good street light and i dont usually ride when its twilight.
And its not like leds are completely useless in such conditions, its just that the halogens are a little bit better in this aspect.Last edited by gunner143; 06-03-2016, 06:29 PM.Using Tapatalk
