Thanks guys ! so I am going to get the following looked into -

1. Cam chain tensioner
2. Timing chain and tensioner
3. Carb cleaning
4. Tappet adjustment
5. Accelerator wire change (I feel that the throttle movement is not smooth)
6. Spark Plug and wire check

Of course, the normal regimen of chain slack and clutch adjustment add on unmentioned.

Anything else that you would suggest me to look into.

Query - Any idea of cost implication if I have to change articles in point 1 and 2

Lol. Typo, bro. CAM chain tensioner. Yeah, timing chain's auto-tensioner. Just check it out to make sure. It does sound like something is loose inside your engine, but can't guess from a video where it's coming from. Timing chain, tappets, clutch...can be anything. Just turn the idle to say 2K and engage clutch lever fully. Does the sound decrease?

Yes it does decrease when i engage the clutch even at neutral. I have tried it with 2k 2.5k rpms too. To be honest the sound smoothens out and sounds like yours.

The tik tik sound of the tappet is not evident but i will get it checked since he anyway would be opening up the head.

Also, i think i need to get the swingarm bush to be looked at. The bike kinda wobbles at the rear at times. And also the conset needs tightening. Dammm a lotta work to go through on my visit.

Any idea on the cost of a new timing chain if i have to get it changed ? And what do i look for if i have to decide to get it changed or not ?

Installed 40/20-hi/lo led h4 headlamp on my 200ns.
Illumination is noticably brighter that the stock headlight and the best part is that when u switch on the high beam you do not lose the low beam, that imo is a great advantage.

The beam is slightly high for my taste, can anybody post the pic of the screw that can be used lower it.

Screwdriver ( - ) under the console, right side. Screw is under the headlight, direction is btw headlamp and pilot light. Use a torch or you won't see it properly even in daylight

If the sound smoothens out really good, you may need to check the items 2 and 14 in the pic.

2 is the bush on which the whole clutch assembly runs. 14 is the clutch lifter (or release) bearing. 14 comes into action when you pull the clutch lever.

Saw your Post bro . I came here some three weeks back.

1. Make sure you cover your bike headlight section, dashboard, fairing side (and other places where it can take hit easily) with a thick sheet and then wrap adhesive tap all around. I've always found the railway guys way of packing unsafe. FYI, I've brought it through packers and it was very safe. Check this page or goto 2512 page where I have
Just today received My bike. My friends packed my bike and send it here for Me, as I was here already. Some kind of chemical was spilled on Tank . Had to Pay 190 for storage charge just for a day.

1. You can ride free of cost for 11 months from the date of entry, here from your receipt (train parcel) date.
2. If you plan to stay longer than a year, you will need to then pay road tax. 100% road tax if vehicle is <2 years old. Then need to change KA registration as well, but after paying road tax.
3. For such case, you need to get an NOC from Madurai RTO (near your area where you registered your bike). To get NOC, you need to first get Clearance certificate from the commissioner office in Madurai itself. Well, if you are looking for a long time stay say 2-5 years, then this is the best approach. Your bike presence is not required, but you need to get a stencil copy of your chassis number in all four copies of form 24.
Check here --> https://transientsdiary.wordpress.co...-transfer-noc/
4. Also remember, while applying for NOC, you need to mention which area you are going to stay. And you need to get that area RTO code as well. Please note you need PUC certificate as well for all these process. If under hypothetication, then you need to get a clearance from Bank too
5. Before you start your rubber to be burnt on the streets of Bglore, I'd advice the following checklist ready
a. NOC certificate
b. At least the parcel receipt if NOC takes time
c. RC and Insurance copy
d. Pollution copy (PUC)
e. Company ID card (good to have)

f. License copy
Thanks for the info bro.

Presently I don't have NOC and PUC in hand. And regarding company's ID card, I just joined a week back and It will take one More week. Bought a spare helmet as Mine is in Home.

1. Heck, the traffic will be pathetic, mostly you'll be doing 10-20kph at peak time. And nowadays I've been getting an idea to buy a bike (bicycle) to get to my office, mine is just 3.5Km and it takes 20-25 minutes daily.
2. Watch how people ride, I've already got my right leg crushed by a biker, my shoe saved me some extend, got hit thrice at my rear tyre hugger by other bikers and one more scratch on my left leg, while a guy took a turn without watching my hand signal and indicators. Going crazy and opening all eyes...
3. Easily you'll get tired if you plan to ride >10 Kms a day (one way). Because it will take >1 hour many times to cover up that distance. I've given up the idea of riding long distance in traffic.
4. Police will be watching you regularly, so at peak times you have 0 problems in riding with other state registration and without papers. But weekend, you will always be tightly watched. + late night ride as well + no helmet.
1. Exactly bro, The traffic is too high. For Me, I can travel either by bus or by walk. In either case it takes the same amount 45 Mins for 5 kilometers.

2. Paathu ponga bro... Almost the same Happened for Me today. At signal crossing I was going straight and a bus suddenly came in when their signal was red :O

3. My company is only 5 Kms from where I stay, So no prob with this one bro.

Sure bro, I'll be free on sundays. Saturday i'll be having office :'(

Another method is to get a rental agreement (fake) in your name for a house in Hosur. You can show that when caught. Since Hosur is in Tamilnadu, they can't do anything. You live there, and ride to Bengaluru everyday

Edit: you can actually live in Hosur too

Today I spent the entire day sitting at my local guy getting my bike issues taken care of. And the experience post the work I will summarize in just 4 words - THE BEAST IS BACK !!!

List of tasks undertaken -

1. Timing chain replacement
2. New tensioner

4. Washer solution by krixna
5. Reduced height by swingarm boring 15mm below existing hole
6. Accelerator cable change
7. Air filter change
8. Chain cleaning and lubing
9. Cone set adjustment
10. Clutch adjustment
11. Spark check

Pending item - CO setting which I will be going for on Tuesday

The bike seems to have gotten a new lease of life. The throttle has considerably smoothened out with a significant pick in the lower revs. I am running rich as of now due to new pilot jet position however CO tuning will take care of that so pick will increase even more. The lowering of the shocks has lent a considerable softness to the ride and the shocks seem to be functioning better. I am not expecting RE comfort but its way better. Thank you all of you for your assistance.

Thank you all of you for your assistance.

santo My odo reading bro today stands at 16900 kms.. if i remember correctly 430 for the timing chain and 200 for the tensioner

Total expense incl Motul 7100 came out to 2600 bucks.
