At first i thought i thought it could be the piston however post 5k it zooms way past 100 at 7k easily on a windless day. I am yet to try the spacer suggestion given by ujjwal.

Additionally, i am also facing an issue of a louder than normal engine. Any suggestions as to what i could poasibly look into ? Gaskets ? Rings ? Carb cleaning ? Anything ? As was suggested to me i got the engine mounts checked however they turned out to be fine. As it is there are no vibes till the time i dont emulate Rossi on his 49. Even then they creep in once i cross the 120 mark which is good to go.
Improper carb tuning could be the reason for a sluggish low end. I know that your is tuned at 1.5 CO but then also try tuning it at slightly richer setting.

Regarding the louder engine than normal:- Get the timing chain and tappet settings checked and adjusted if needed these two things could be the reason for a louder engine noise. Otherwise it's a strong engine and parts don't wear out so quickly.

PS:- Get the timing chain tappet settings checked under your observation, because these people at SVC are intolerably lazy to open the engine head. OR they will just listen to the engine noise and tell that its nothing to worry about.

Not 1.5 bro.. its tuned at 1.8 ... tappet settings was done at 12696 servicing odo. Im today at 16700. I know the ASC guys had done it because I was standing right beside him. Timing chain I have heard is auto tensioning ? Whats the normal life of the timing chain ? The oil is 7100 and 4300 kms old.

The excess noise is not like the metallic sound generated due to the timing chain but something like the internals are kind of grinding.

Do you think a carb cleaning is needed ? Im thinking of the following next week - accel wire change, carb cleaning with the spacer solution and a timing chain check or replacement if needed.

Yeah carb cleaning can help for the sluggish low end and also get your air filter cleaned and replaced (if needed). About the accelerator cable I had read earlier in a post of yours that you have already replaced it ones (correct me if I am wrong)

About the engine noise can you please elaborate or make video it will give a better idea.[emoji4]

When we open the tank fairing on the bike, if you would have noticed there are rubber blocks ? What is the technical name for those ?

Notice how quickly rpm rises from idle when throttle is blipped, thanks to a decent low end

Hehehe, sorry bro it was a typing mistake.. Its Camshaft chain tensioner. That could be the culprit for your soar throat it might be broken or quite loose. Also get the spark plug gap checked.
