Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
You can cut off an inch height from that portion of mudguard which looks like the Opera house in SydneyOriginally posted by GauravD View PostBro i did do a pillion run today on city roads. Personally i did not face any bottoming out. Shock setting on max-1. Yet to check out on medium bad roads.
Krixna has been using this setup for quite some time now and has reported no bottom outs.
krixna - have a query bro. What IF i have a bottom out, do you think getting the monoshock side mudguard cut to half provide any extra movement gap ? I may risk getting the shocks dirty however I could use a monoshock cover in that case ? May i also request you to post a couple of pix of your setup just for comparison...

haha Opera House from Sydney ... the NS does go international .. eh :POriginally posted by krixna View PostYou can cut off an inch height from that portion of mudguard which looks like the Opera house in Sydney
btw Mod Report out -
I took my lady on a ride today through some bumpy roads and she was grinning at the end of it compared to earlier when she used to be frowning at me all the time post a ride. Even I can feel a definite change in the ride quality of the bike in terms of bumps coming through. If someone at Bajaj is following this thread, highly unlikely though, they could look into incorporating this mod as a factory modification. All in all - highly pleased !!Last edited by GauravD; 05-30-2016, 12:41 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
That sounds fine broOriginally posted by krixna View PostAnother method is to get a rental agreement (fake) in your name for a house in Hosur. You can show that when caught. Since Hosur is in Tamilnadu, they can't do anything. You live there, and ride to Bengaluru everyday
Edit: you can actually live in Hosur too
. Planning to change the Insurance's address to Hosur
P.S: Living even at Hosur border will make a 60Km journey a day for My company and that comes around 3000Rs per month plus 40 Min ride time
That's why avoiding that bro. May be after I get an increment I can try that.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
No bhai .. have not found the time to go for CO tuning. I will be going sometime within this week. The devilish side of me tells me not to try to tame this beast now. Its a good thing I did not add another washer else I definitely would not have gone for tuning :P I am so enjoying riding after a long period of lull. I will be getting it done soon though.Originally posted by krixna View PostWhat about the report on the engine? CO not yet done I think...

The engine is so smooth now with the eased up throttle too. It just takes off like anything whenever I want to, even from 40 kmps in 5th gear. I am trying my level best not to push the engine for now however I am only human :P :P

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It's just tack-welded at 3 points. You can grind off the tacking and reuse the nutOriginally posted by vvk1999 View PostFrom where did u got that nut which holds shock absorber at place ?
Currently Its welded on the collar.
Edit: Gaurav has used a different nut

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The welded nut was not of use bro .. it needed to go .. walk into a hardware store or the mechanic would have it broOriginally posted by vvk1999 View PostFrom where did u got that nut which holds shock absorber at place ?

But for safety purpose we have to weld the nut or it will get loose afterwards , right ?Originally posted by GauravD View PostThe welded nut was not of use bro .. it needed to go .. walk into a hardware store or the mechanic would have it bro

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Nuts are welded so that you don't have to put spanners on both sides. If your doubt is correct, even if you weld the nut, the bolt can go loose, right? More so because the shock directly sits on the bolt? Well, it doesn't happen, so relax. If you want to be double sure, use a nut with self-locking fibre inserts, like the wheel axle nuts.Originally posted by vvk1999 View PostBut for safety purpose we have to weld the nut or it will get loose afterwards , right ?Last edited by krixna; 05-31-2016, 01:11 AM.
