Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Finally, managed to successfully put the handle of RS 200 in NS 200.Originally posted by Seamus View PostChanging the Handle, Clip on to Pulsar RS 200. Is this Conversion Possible?
This bike gives hard time driving in traffic due to its lenghty out ward handle bar.
On the other hand RS 200 handle looks compact and inward which i think is better in City traffic.
Experts need some advice, suggestion on this.
I always felt the suspension of NS200 to be on stiffer side, giving direct impact to my back. The upright positioning along with stiffer suspension was the cause.
The ergonomics of pulsar 220 was always a spot on to me. Be it for traffic overtakes or narrow gaps. Never really had back ache cause of my weight being transferred between my wrist as well as back
Post Mod the Weight Distribution of this bike is more front based. Back pain gone, now the wrist takes up some load which is fine as it was in pulsar 220.
Gives a very good front end Feedback. Heavy front braking is fun now.
Bike Changes Directions more naturally. Cornering is breeze, juz think of a lane change and it happens.
Traffic overtaking or narrow gaps, this bike can do it all. Also absence of side based exhaust is aiding it further.
I suggest this mod to any one who is considering selling NS200 cause of stiffer suspension or bigger handles.
It will transform your bike completely.
The Perimeter frame along with a potent engine of 23.5ps truely shines now.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Changed the CDI but the problem still persists.. but now the stuttering kicks-in at a different RPM range.. I'm going bonkers with this now..Originally posted by NeVi77e View Posthi guys.. I have been facing a couple of weird problem since the past 3-4 months with my NS which has clocked 45K km's..
A couple of months back my bike just died on me at a signal and refused to start-up (electricals were working fine). I tried to jump start it in 1stgear but that also didn't work.I had to drag it 3-4kms back home to a local mechanic who fiddled around with the spark plugs and ignition coils. Somehow he managed to start it and the next I took it to my regular mechanic in Goregoan. On the way also the bike stalled 3-4 times. My mechanic kept the bike with him for two days and tried to pinpoint the problem area. He took apart the whole bike checked the wiring, ignition coils, spark plugs, carburetor etc. He changed the digraph/ needle thing in the carb also. All thought he couldn't figure out the exact problem point at the end of it the bike was starting without any problem.
Fast forward to two months later, the bike again died on me at the mahalaxmi station signal. Tried the starter but to no avail. Since I was on a bridge I tried jump starting it, but again that did not work. After aggressively pressing the starter, the engine sputter back to life (similar to when there is some water in the tank). Over the same period, my bike developed another weird problem - the bike starts stuttering like there is less fuel only in the 5,000rpm range i.e.: 65kms/hr in the 5th gear or 72kms/hr in the 6th gear.
When I took it back for servicing last week, I told my mech about these problems. He did the regular servicing and cleaned the petrol tank, fuel lines and the carb. A new petrol filter, air filter and spark plugs were installed. But to my dismay, none of these worked. Although the bike has stalled/ died on me yet and the stuttering in the 5,000rpm range continues. And frankly, it's becoming quite irritating coz that the range I usually drive on. My mech suggested that I should change the CDI unit, as problems in a particular rpm band only occur due to a faulty CDI unit. However, I'm not convinced as the fault could also lie somewhere else also as he was saying alternator coil should be checked. or is my mech rite about the CDI thoery?NeVi77e

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I hate to break this to you, but I had a similar issue with my 200NS which only went away with a engine top overhaul. On hindsight, I suspect it could be a valve timing issue - try replacing your timing sprocket and timing chain. Meantime, since the top is opened, get the valve clearance check done too.Originally posted by NeVi77e View PostChanged the CDI but the problem still persists.. but now the stuttering kicks-in at a different RPM range.. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I had the same issue in my pulsar 220, the problem was with the timing chain sprocket. Asc engineer diagnosed this after i lodged the complaint because the mechs there could not dignose the fault and they got my money wasted on changing carb, cdi, h.t. coil spark plugs and after they said to get my engine overhauled i just simply lodged the complaint. Before complaint my bike was with asc for 20 days.Originally posted by NeVi77e View PostChanged the CDI but the problem still persists.. but now the stuttering kicks-in at a different RPM range.. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi guys, so I've owned the bike since december 2012 now and the bike has been amazing, but there has been this constant rear brake noise problem that has been pestering me since the very beginning. Every time I gave it in servicing they used to rub the disk pads with sand paper, they noise used to go away, but then it used to come back in a few weeks time(all this was 3 years ago approx). I didn't pay much heed to the noise. But in the past 2 weeks the problem has escalated and the pad has literally created so much friction with the disk that it's held on to the disk and wouldn't let go, after riding for 20 mins one early morning. The rear disk started to smoke and the tyre wouldn't rotate at all. I let it cool poured some water after 10 mins and then rode it to safety. Later I took it to a mechanic who cleaned the black cylindrical calliper and put in new pads. The problem was solved temporarily. Took it to the service centre who said that they can't find the issue, though it might be due to a slight bend in the rear wheel alloy maybe when I rode the bike at speed into a ditch or something, which might have caused the bend and the entire alloy might have to be changed. It's a very small bump of barely a couple of millimeters at worst and I don't think that might be the issue.
This issue has been really irritating me and the bike is becoming next to unusable due to the issue. Any light that can be thrown on this? (PS. Also I once took it to a different mechanic who just bleed the rear brake a little and the tire freed up like brand new.)I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
That rear black cylindrical alloy you mentioned probably refers to the rear brake master cylinder. My 2013 200NS too, had a drained rear brake event. The final resolution to the issue was a brake master cylinder replacement. I was riding my bike in Laos and I didn't have access to a Bajaj device centre then, a local mechanic replaced it with an "equivalent" and the issue never returned.Originally posted by Horror View PostHi guys, so I've owned the bike since december 2012 now and the bike has been amazing, but there has been this constant rear brake noise problem that has been pestering me since the very beginning. Apologize for the picture clarity. The bike is very dusty right now, little bit of adjustments and colouring clip ons is left.
Used it for a full week, and i must say this setup has made my riding style more aggressive. Have good confidence in taking some serious narrow cuts.
This makes me feel like riding toned down 220 (without fairing and exhaust) with better handling and power.
Back aches have disappeared, dont need to slow down on the pot holes or bad roads anymore this bike now glides without any hit on back or wrist.
One more important thing, the mirrors offer double the visibility now. Its really that good.Last edited by Seamus; 05-12-2017, 10:06 PM.

How much did you pay for the new handle bars? Did you get it changed on the SVC or a local mechanic ?Originally posted by Seamus View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
My bike was having lot of vibrarions and various types of sounds from head low pickup, diffrent exhaust sound. The service centre mechanics were unable to digonose the problem. Luckily the service engineer was present there and he rode the bike and found that crankshaft , cylinder block is to be replaced ( within warranty). Now my bike is being repaired in the svc . I want to know that do I need to follow the run-in procedure again

Yes, as cylinder block is being changed you will have to follow the run-in procedureOriginally posted by Saurabh Tuli View PostMy bike was having lot of vibrarions and various types of sounds from head low pickup, diffrent exhaust sound.
