Not for bumber to bumber traffic.
Is riding only in city traffic, stay with bajaj oil itself.
Motul fs 7100 heats too much in low speed and crawling speed, but the best for riding hard on highway.
Motul SS 5100 offers kinda mix of both.

Hello all... After a long time...

I've been having problems with the bike for the last couple of months.
The bike doesn't rev smoothly. Even while running or at idle.
It struggles to get past 7000 rpms.

The overall performance feels so bogged down due to this.

Bike is clocked @ 33000 + kms now.
Been riding with after market filter since 10000 kms. That's the only major modification done.

Had took the bike to SVC. They recommended for a decarbonisation.

Had the bike decarbonised, air filter cleaned, all 3 spark plugs changed, changed the chain set and oil too.

But the problem still persists.. Bike is not revving up freely. Struggles post 7k rpms.

          I'm really frustrated now.
Can anyone throw some light over this issue?
I've also changed the spark plug cables to low resistance ones once. But that was long back. Could it be that the cable need replacement now. ?
I unplugged the spark plug and made sure spark is still being produced.

Don't know what to do next? Even the SVC guys are not answering.

          Pls care to help.

If you are using aftermarket filter then your carb must be running lean. So to compensate that you need to upjet your main jet for top end power. It will be hassle to tune your setting with main and pilot jet so if you're not ready then stick to stock filter.

Thanks for the reply. But tuning or jetting is not the issue here. I've been running with these filters for last 20000kms. The problem only kicked in now.
The spark plugs showed no symptoms of lean or rich mixtures.

And this is why I'm so confused

Did you check and cleaned your carb while decarbonisation? Sometime blocked main jet could be culprit. I recently got my carb changed at 35K after getting hiccup in midrange. Needle piston was culprit.

In bumper to bumper traffic all the engine oil would heat up while doing 1st & 2nd gear. I don't think mineral oil would save you on that matter. Motul 7100 Synthetic oil will prolong life of engine with is increase in viscosity and ester technology with SN grading.

                        Hi everyone..
Can anyone suggest a good quality tank bag which could be a fit on my NS. I am waiting for Rynox Optimus S for 6 months now however it's not back in the stock. Any suggestions.

Thanks bro. I'll check this now. How much did it cost? Changing needle piston and all..?

I didn't find any rubber piston in Bajaj spare around my areas so I just change the whole carb which cost me NRS.8500.

Hey guys, I currently own a ZMR 2013 version and I'm. Selling it within a month to get the NS 2017, chiefly because of spares availability. But based on this post that looks, like it'll be an issue. Is this true?
