Unfortunately I had an accident on my NS. I was doing a good 80 on a blind corner ( Yes ik I'm stupid), and a bus showed up in the opposite lane. I could've easily gone past without any problems. But I was kinda startled by the big bus, I target fixated straightened my bike and then hit the brakes hard. I knew there was almost no way I could stop my bike without a head on collision with the bus, so I hit the brakes and the front locked up (didn't really matter at this point). And I jumped off the vehicle into the opposite foliage. Went in a good 10 mts into the bushes doing flips. Friends told me the bike didn't hit the bus, and quite frankly I was lucky to be alive and not be under the bus wheels. I got out with a minor sprain on my wrist and a hairline fracture on my ankle. I was wearing helmet gloves and a good jacket and riding boots and that's why I survived with almost no major injuries. ATGATT please! Don't ever forget.

Now my bike. Was all scratched on the side i fell. Nothing major. The leg guard is a bloody lifesaver. The placement of that little thing is genius. It took the brunt of the fall.Handle bar was also bent. Went to SVC they quoted about 2.5k including replaced parts and labor. Yet to collect vehicle. They called me yesterday and told me to see if the rear cowl( below the pillion seat where the ns200 is written) in red would be fine. I went and checked it out. They have it in the same colour as the tank( red). I didn't like it cuz it looked really bright and showy. Liked the grey red look better. But if I had a black ns maybe I would've liked a black rear cowl, ask your SVC if you guys want it. chances are they might get it.

RTR has better pillion seats then NS 200 any day. For city mileage you can't I cannot comment because I can't find a uniform number in any forms or fb group. But in the highway both will give you 40 kmpl for sure. Both bikes can cruise at 110 kmph all day long at almost same rpm. NS can do more then 110 but engine is not refined after that. There is no major quality issues reported so for for RTR 200 but but for NS it is there. RTR doesn't live upto a 200 cc machine, this is where NS excels.

            Why to choose RTR
            Comfort
            Relatively new design
            Engine refinement

            Why to choose NS
            Performance
Underbelly exhaust gives more room for saddle bags in touring which is most important factor for touring.

Two of my friends have bought the new Apaches and both have faced issues. One had to have his battery replaced, while the other has a problem with its gear shift indicator. Also cruising at 110 is not its thing, because it has a lot of vibrations. 100 could be more suitable. If I was you, I'd push my budget slightly and go for the refined Fz25

And then fz25 has its own set of issues like paint chipping, mudding, paint peeling off, a very boring console and that characteristic tappet noise.

Sir every bike and car has its own set of issues and these are the issues which are faced at early stage and there might be some issue which will show up in a long run and i would say rather, go with the heart always and it pretty much works for me and as for niggles you say I even know a S class owner whose passenger side lock got stuck so everything has it's fair share of niggles and for me till the bike mechanically does not gives me problem it does not irritate me and doesn't leave me stranded anywhere all is fine for me.

                  Hi I have 2017 Ns,,,

I think it's pretty good for 1,15 lacs,,,, with few minor issues,,,,

1, small engine oil leakage,,, I know 2 others who have 2017 model they too have this issue,,,

2, cone set problem or something due to which the handle becomes loose,,, when I apply the front brakes on a down slope road I feel that the handle bar is kind of loose

3, fuel indicator is just MAD

Other than these I didn't face any issues so far,,,

And yes ,,, no matter which bike u have got ,,, it will have its own problems,,,

Sounds like minor problems that can be fixed at a service?

3 you have to live with it

1 is minor as of now,, could become major after a while,,,, fix is there but not sure that it will fix permanently

Gear indicator issue is true with RTR, battery issues i never heard or at at least minor issue. Why don't you share your own experience and prospective of these two bikes. Lots of people still struggling to choose between these two bikes.

hi everyone i brought my NS 200 2017 red color 1 month back but within one month i am facing a lot of problems.
the major one is the power drop problem.when i rev up the bike in 7000rpm and drive suddenly the bike feels like the power is going down and some sort of sound comes and then the bike stops and the worst part the tires doesn't move. After sometime it cools and then the bike stops to move.Worst part it stops in the busy roads of Chennai and people think i cant drive a vehicle properly
next being a 200 cc bike my bike doesn't touch 100km/he speed even in the sixth gear.I dunno what to do please help me
