Ceat Zoom XL is great at 3000. Maybe even look at Masseter but I didn't see it in the market.
If there's any scope of increasing your budget, go for Michellin Pilot Street at 5.5k

There is no better tyre for the NS.

While returning to Bangalore you are climbing the Deccan plateau with increased speed of 120Kmph. This could be a cause.

Due to heavy rain on the way I was losing the little trip I had with those worn out eurogrip tyres (which sucked even when new, I don't know why I haven't changed them yet).
Gear lever was sliding up and down without changing gears internally.
Mileage was varying like day and night - with 9 litres of petrol I went on for 355km while on straight highway cruising at 90-110kmph (most of the distance was covered while it rained).
After that with 8.2 litres I went for 300 km including ghat section roads (which again is very good). Although while returning 9 litres got me only 200km (cruising at 120kmph - in broad daylight) forcing me to put in reserve and refuelling immediately.
I had got the vehicle serviced at a trusted local garage and the motorcycle engine is running as good as new after that, with New oil right before the trip.

      My questions are
      1) why does the mileage drop so steeply at very little extra speed?
      2) can weather have any impact on mileage? Like day or night, dry or rainy etc..
      3) what modifications and/or accessories are preferred for touring long distances?
      4) I need to change tyres and am confused whether to get wider tyres or not, and whether to go for soft compound tyres for good grip or medium-hard compound for longevity.

Yes, that might be possible. Although the highway seemed pretty much straight. Also now I realized that due to heavy rains at night the engine stayed cool, and it was hot and sunny while returning causing engine to overheat

Go for MRF masseter tyres that would be perfect. I use stock MRF which came with my ns200 2017 model which is not masseter but performs its job good. So masseter as per some online review they must be great for both wet and dry roads.

Thanks, I hope they're not too costly.

Sorry I'm not aware of the exact pricing.. It might be somewhere near 4k. But if you are concerned with the budget also then go for MRF zapper s which comes as stock with some ns200 that's good.

4k is decent price, I don't mind spending about 5-6k

Then you can go for messeter. If you can still extend your budget little more around 5 to 6 then you can go for perelli/michelin which will be extra soft compound and gives you extra grip. But I guess the tyer will ware worn out little early because of soft compound.

Masseters, too, are soft compound tyres. Been using them for almost 8000 kms now, I've never experienced any problems. Wet grip is phenomenal and the treads are just the best at the price they're offered.

Thank you....well bike is already 5 months old.. but i got time to update the story now.
Only completed 2k kms so far...as my office really close to my home. So iam riding only 10kms a day.

Faced few issues after the purchase..
Used to ride 220 F before this.
Bougth from a trusted dealer of delhi Bagga Link Karol Bagh. (Not at all trusted)

lucky to book MRF zapper model as it was the last one that time.
On delivery day after leaving the showroom and riding the bike for 2kms it suddenly got shutt off and i was like what the hell
I called them they tried to work it on the phone but no sucess in the end they send 2 mechanics and they opened my bike in the center of CP.
Culprit was fuel pipe which was squeezed between bike frame and fuel tank.

Later after riding the bike for 2 weeks i noticed some kind of leakage from fuel tank...
I immediately called the dealers and told them about this, they said when you bring the bike for 1st service we will look at it.
But i was not sure that it is leak or just a mark of leakage.
Later after 3 weeks when i come upto calculate the mileage it was just 27kmpl
So i was sure the bike leaking fuel. But from where exactly.. i planned to give the bike to the service center early and told them about this issue and asked them to solve it quickly because 2nd milleage which i got is just 22kmpl.

I told the service center guy about this and surprisingly he said some one has tried to steal the oil from the tank...snd i was like...what the hell...it is clear cut leakage and it is very difficult to reach to the fuel pipe in 200ns plus iam living in a society where these. Kind of things never happened.

While collecting my bike i asked him did you guys worked on it or is it still leaking.
He assured me that there is nothing to worry about you can check it yourself.
I told him fuel level is very low toh check anything i will check it high fuel load.
And same thing happened again after refueling.

When i returened there now this time he is having a completly new theory of fuel over filling. I was about to burst on him but kept my temper.
Luckly there was 1 mechanic who was working on RS 200 i asked him to look at my bike...he tilted my bike and then we noticed the fuel is coming like water fall from the tank.

He opened the bike to find where it is coming actually . Then he found the culprit and it was the same pipe which was squeezed on day 1 but this time it disconnected from one of the end.

I but after leaving the showroom i noticed the khirr khirr sound coming from the rear tire..not sure where it is coming from.
This only occurs at low speed.

Can anyone of you suggest me a good mechanic in east delhi or Noida .

As i dont trust both Suman bajaj and Bagga link anymore.

                          1. The oil(+filter) changed was not at the Bajaj Workshop, so after filling precisely 1.2L of the Motul, it was clear that Bajaj guys overfill engine oil since the oil window showed oil at the max level and not full, as before.
                          2. Midrange now feels smoother and engine, eager.
                          3. I never seriously calculated the KMPL. But after deciding to do so, filled the tank upto brim, set the trip1 to Zero, and now it is about to reach ~450km without coming in Reserve. Is it really returning that high a mileage? Driving style 90% time 3-4k rpm. I changed the Bajaj oil until now at 2500-3000km. Bike is completely in stock trim.

Also, knowing the drain period of this oil is rated to 10,000km, can anybody tell me the realistic drain period(including occasional topups, if necessary)?
Glad to hear this...as iam confused to go for 5100 or 7100 motul.
My bike is only 2k kms old....and can you share for how much KMS it lasted?

Hello everyone, I own a 2017 Pulsar NS200 White. I wanted to know whether the LED indicators of the Pulsar RS200 or the Duke 200 will be a direct fit on the NS200. I have already installed the adjustable clutch lever of the 2017 Duke 390 and it does wonders. I am also planning to get the hand guards installed. Please help me out on this.

Did you get the clutch lever replaced by your mechanic or did the SVC people do it for you? Also how much did it cost?
