one question:- shall i go for carb cleaning? Bike has no issues but i have a carb cleaner bottle lying unsed so
i am also thinking to get the air filter cleaned as the Shimla road is so dusty and i was covered in dust by the time i returned. it is royal pain to get the Air filter cleaned though. Showroom people never do it.
dont ever touch carb , ns carb is notorious if didn't handled with care

Has anyone used liquimolly products. Are they good especially the oil & oil additives?

First time it happened, bike wouldn't pull much past 100, and if I rode on 5th gear till 110kph, shifting to 6th would see the speed drop to 92kph. 92 became new cruising speed.

Second time round, wouldn't go past 70kph during a ride uphill. Anyway, I'd say just clean the system, should be okay.

            P.S. it's not your clutch.

Also, If it's this happens again, you had best start taking notes in how to open your carb, since you might need to do it a lot. And it gets expensive.
Yes. That may be a probable reason. I used to switch over different petrol bunks. Their genuinity is questionable. 1st place, Let me try curb cleaning additives.

Liqui moly is a little pricey. Brands like Penzoil, Liqui Moly, Amsoil are famous in their respective areas.
For me, price to price factor makes Motul / Shell preferable.

yesterday i tuned my carburator 4minute anticlockwise if you assume afr screw as a clock. the vibration between 5k to 7k rpm reduced drastically. bike became a lot smoother and punchy. only problem i am facing is not i have to twist the throttle a little to start my bike when cold.

Try the choke to warmup the engine

But guys, funny story, my bike consumes about 25kpl now, used to consume 29kpl. What the heck do I need to change? And this is like even when not really revving a lot.

Most of the recent posts I see here about the new NS200 is where fellow rider brothers are confused about engine oil, carburetor issues, loss of power, cold start and usual wear and tears. I own a different version of NS200, the AS200 and most issues are common since technically the heart is same. Some voluntary suggestions it it helps.
                            1. First, prime your engines, a new engine needs care and attention. It is not necessarily important to change or jump to a semi or fully synthetic engine oil just because everyone is using them. Let me make it simpler, for the first 5000 kms, stick to Bajaj Oil, then change to Motul 5100 15w50 Semi Synthethic, now why this brand, because it has Ester, which helps to keep the engine clean and works to avoid accumulate sludge. You move to fully synthetic only when your bike is well beyond 15k kms. Why? Because by then the the cylinder , piston, rings have created a comfortable and smooth synchronization. You can use any fully synthetic engine oil but, it always benefits to have additives like Ester to keep the engine healthy. I prefer Motul 7100 20w50.
                            2. When to change the oil? Check it yourself, it completely depends on how you ride your bike. If you have the tendency of holding on to the clutch lever or if you ride with an open throttle, you may need to change it more often. There are instances when I had to change the oil in 1500 kms and at 4500 kms too. A worn out clutch leaves residues in the engine which further mixes with the oil. Best advised to change the clutch and the oil together. Always change the engine oil filter with it.
                            3. Powerloss? First reason is the fuel, adulterated fuel causes most of the problem, find a fuel station which delivers quality fuel. Second, jet washing the bike, beleive me or not it is one of the issues most would not understand but pressure washing actually causes the water to penetrate through carb, sparkplug sliders, air intakes causing the bike to make those choky noises. I learned it the hard way. If you need to pressure wash, avoid engine area completely. Third, valve adjustment, uneven adjusted valves obstructs either the intake or exhaust process, causing an error in combustion. Spark plugs sometimes are an issue too. Do ensure to change or clean the air filter, check for yourself the condition and make the decision. A better breathing engine has a better combustion.
                            4. Clutch. A well aligned and assemled clutch assembly, with precision tension on the clutch lever enhances the performance and lasting of components. Always feel how the gears are slotting in, it should be a click, use full clutch, learn to milk the throttle.

At the end it is honestly how you ride and how well you listen to her. Treat her as you would treat yourself. It is not necessary to use everything in the market and it is not a guarantee that all of that stuff will work wonders on your bike. If you wish to upgrade, get steel breaded break line, spitfire cables, EBC Brake Pads, fuel lines and use power or fuel with additives.

I am hoping my suggestions are useful and apologize if you find it naive. I ain't no expert and as I said, these are just suggestions.

                            Ride Safe!
