Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Well, as I mentioned on the other post I came to know that bajaj sells 10w50 full synthetic oil(supplied by TOTAl) for NS200 which is also mentioned in the manual. So I went on with it today due to the warranty policy.Originally posted by suyashm5 View PostBtw which oil do u use?
Total service cost was 1305 Rs (1.5 ltr oil + oil filter + lubrication + consumables). Other things were free such as water wash, etc. They gave me back the remaining 300 ml oil.
Now I could feel the change in the engine sound & vibrations to be less than earlier. Anyhow I didn't get a chance to ride more than 10 kms from office to home. I also felt speed limit is increased for lower gears 1&2 as I tried running with 3rd above 20Km/h the engine started lugging which I could do before service. I could only manage if i rev above 3.5k RPM.
Is it normal?
I will have to try highway this weekend as I guess the engine oil must run atleast 100 kms or something to know it's worth. If it turns out to be bad then am going to ditch it after 1000 kms to have motul as mentioned by fellow rider here earlier.

The chain is too tight. That's why the engine lugging. They always do that, I don't know why.Originally posted by samy_jk View PostWell, as I mentioned on the other post I came to know that bajaj sells 10w50 full synthetic oil(supplied by TOTAl) for NS200 which is also mentioned in the manual. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Here is a proper video in English for Dis-assembly & assembly of 200 NS' engine (includes removal of radiator, muffler, carb, airbox, etc), video by BAL, made for training purposes. Non-SAI, Non-EVAP model. All looks so easy in the video. Kudos to original poster.
Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.
Service manual for 200 NS (Fi) ABS (Non-English). Kudos to original poster.
Note: There are some obvious errors like mentioning a tightening torque of 9 kgf-m for the Allen bolts holding the rear disc, otherwise fine.Last edited by ashwanth.r; 11-29-2018, 04:48 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello members,
I had purchased my pulsar NS200(Standard Version) 10 months back. I have clocked about 4500 kms as of present date, and the second service is due. Out of 4500 kms, i have covered about 2500 kms purely on highways. I have travelled from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam and back twice till date on my NS200. I like all aspects of the bike; its looks, power, acceleration, console, mileage and the like. But one thing which i would like to change is the way the bike performs on highways. I find the following things in my bike absolutely **not** confidence inspiring
1) I find the bike tends to get somewhat shaky after 100 kmph. I wear good quality riding jacket and helmet so i don't feel the wind blast very much.
2) I have observed very often that if i overtake heavy vehicles (Trucks etc) at speeds above 80, the bike wobbles till the time i move ahead of the heavy vehicle
Is this something which can be fixed (By myself or by the service center)? Am i riding it in the wrong way? Or is this how a naked bike performs at high speeds?
As of now, I am considering to go for RS200/R15 V3, but i am very skeptical that a faired bike would solve my problem
Any suggestions / opinions are welcome

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello all!
Paid a down payment of 15k for my NS. White.
Will be delivered on Tuesday after financial verification on Monday.
Asked for MRF only.
From Kalyani Bajaj Mekhri Circle, Bangalore.
Here is a secret that i discovered.
So i took my( brother's but he doesn't drive) KWID. Parked it in a road just before Kalyani Bajaj.
I took a left just before Kalyani Bajaj and parked it on the left side of the road.
To my surprise i found Pulsar 150s , 180s & 200s kept on the raised footpath with covers and some protection.
I inspected their( only 200 NS ) tyres and found it was all MRF zappers.
Battery wires [ presumably (Cause they were coming from under the seat) ] were visible. For battery's health i assume.
Then i went i booked it. 15K down payment and 5400 * 24 months EMI.
Non-ABS. Yes i cheaped out and bought this version.
But i have no regrets now.
Hope i don't in the future too
Why tuesday delivery? Cause they had verification pending as i was applying for loan. I booked it saturday afternoon. So they said it will be Tuesday as sunday is a holiday and monday is the verification. If i wanted to skip verification i had to pay 20k extra down payment.
Have made pointers for PDI!
Will ride a short distance before accepting the bike to check breaks and to check if there are any sounds.
Additional thought : I work in a BPO. Customer service 'senior executive' and i feel that the seller can definitely improve the sales team's attitude.
They were not rude or anything. They just could be a little more enthusiastic about their work.
Good for them, company & the customers will also feel greatful.Last edited by lokeshc; 12-02-2018, 01:16 AM.

Paid full cash 1,30,222 OTR for white abs model and 745rs for saree guard, leg guard, seat covers and no.plates(50 percent discount)
Damn! I got the euroslips...the uncertain wait as told by official from Pune(who had come for the dealership anniversary)
There was no white coloured bike except one(dent on tank) with mrf, made me take the bike
Now m regretting as people had strongly warned against eurogrips on the flipside they last quite long though as they are durable as reported.

Bro.... That is not a good thing. That means you have to live with a tyre with poor grip for even longer.Originally posted by Rav23cbzx View PostPurchased my bike on 28th November got my bike reg.no on 30th November

Exactly my feelings, I too got Euroslips on my P220. [emoji17]Originally posted by ayrus View PostBro.... That is not a good thing. That means you have to live with a tyre with poor grip for even longer.
I'll replace them next year probably.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
If you don't mind spending, replace them as soon as possible. Riding with low air pressure can mitigate the grip issue a bit. Try 25 front and 30 rear.Originally posted by Zapps View PostExactly my feelings, I too got Euroslips on my P220. [emoji17]

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello guys.....
Just wanted to know something.....
My friend has an AS200 with Eurogrip tyres. He says that his bike handles very differently compared to the NS200 (with MRF tyres). As far as I know, the only difference between the 2 bikes is the fairing. Hence I believe that the difference in handling is only due to the difference in tyres and changing the tyres will greatly help in improving the handling. But he insists that both the bikes are designed differently and a mere tyre change will not make a huge difference. What do you guys say??

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I just told them that another dealer ( Khivraj Bangalore ) have MRF and i will go to them if i do not get it here. Then thery wrote it down and said they will call me. If i do not get MRF i will not take the bike delivery as i saw their lot and every single bike had MRF. You have to remember that you are paying them and you deserve the best you can get for the money you are paying. Why are you making the 'sacrifice'?Originally posted by Rav23cbzx View PostPurchased my bike on 28th November got my bike reg.no on 30th November
