    Hello all

Ripped the bike today in the highway, the max speed I was able to reach was 130 @ 8 k RPM. The bike didnt redline even after twisting the throttle completely. Some one please tel me how to get it fixed.

      There is no problem..
At 8k Rpm Ns is around 120kmph not 130kmph, At 10k rpm 150kph.
If you give full throttle on Top gear any bike not able to hit redline without ducking/bend. In high revvs bike doest have any torque to push more.

It happened three times and I was ducking all the time and had no luggage also.

Also I noticed a slight oil marks/smudges on the engine near the gear lever, does this have anything to do with it?

              Suggestions are highly appreciated

                Shift down to 5th..

6th gear is more to maintain the speed you gained with the other gears..

You need a long strech of open road and some good tail wind..

                Enjoy your ride ..

Engine oil condition, air filter condition, tyre pressure, carb tuning, fuel quality, and riding style..All these are major factors that affect top speed. Check them one by one if you need to. Oil smudges are of no worries unless there is engine oil consumption. Also, for top speed, redline in 4th and 5th gear before shifting to 6th gear..

My friend has fitted with dual tone horn on his ns and so far no issues were found. I think it's safe. The horns were directly fitted with no relay or anything. One was in usual horn spot while the other was fitted below the radiator on the shroud bolt.
