I've been usinh mineral from 0 to current 10000km .as my running is low.
It's better to use mineral and change it at 2500km(3months) rather than FS and changing it at 4500km and 6months .since I do 2500km in 3 months or less ,I use mineral, costs less and drain interval is short ,so healthy engine .

No power gains, no sound changes, needs no jet changes.

        Needs a tuning done.

Cost vs gains -- not really worth it.

          First Service Experience:

First impression,Bajaj service sucks big time. It is truly bad if you let them make decision. So I completed 560 kms and bike service thingy came to light ON. So I dutifully took my bike to Krishna Bajaj, Gurgaon for first service. I was anticipating a big overhaul because internet is filled with comments of not pushing the bike before first service. I myself changed the engine oil with same bajaj oil AFTER 350 KM. Here is the first service experience,
          • Bike sent to KTM service floor which looked pretty cool and exclusive. Awesome feeling.
          • Mechanic was friendly and first thing he did is to drain the engine oil. Oil looked new so he asked me if I changed the oil? YES. So no need to change now.
          • Mechanic closed the drain point looked at chain. Nothing done.
          • Checked all lights. All ok.
          • Put in some additive in the engine oil addition point. Was going to add some petrol additive but I stopped Him. May be normal practice.
          • Mechanic said first SERVICE DONE.

My expressions was what the hell..... thats it... thats all you gonna do in the name of first service? .... or is it because its FREE.... I was not just upset but irritated with their approach.

Then realized how things get done in india. You have to forcefully ask and then following things are done,

          • Properly cleaned chain and then readjusted chain. Lube.
          • Checked the engine idle RPM. I told him its ~2500 when engine hot. So he adjusted. This could be the reason of handlebar vibration when slowing down around 30 km/hr.
          • Adjusted gears because 1st to 2nd transition was awful. Neutral was difficult to find. Corrected after adjustment.
          • Rear break was too tight and was applying even a slightest touch. He adjusted the same.
          • Checked and Tightened some of the bolts.
          • Adjusted dashboard time, service symbol etc.
          • Additional services: Removed saree guard, installed center stand

I still think what difference it made by not ripping the engine before first service. I can understand changing engine oil (shaved off engine internal debris etc) but other than there is nothing else that I think matters.

I do think that Bajaj appointed mechanic was good but I had to push him to get the work done.

Morale of the story: Have your complain list ready before going to service. And never ever leave the bike for service. You will get a shiny bike exactly in same condition as prior to service. Do it in your presence.

LOL, you learned! Didn't I told you my story of that weird sound and power loss, they did nothing except sitting on bike and throttling for 5-6 minutes.
bro they are pathetic. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to make it up to SVC yesterday, was stuck in some issues. BTW did you changed Oil atlast?? Next time I'm gonna take bike to Kirti nagar,Delhi or I'll try GSM for once, Anyone here to give reviews of GSM Gurgaon??

Nit even 0.0001% gear shift harshness
              Nill vibes till 115kmph. (Didn't went further ) .
Bike was performing like 1-2 bhp had increased.
Smoothness was equal(yes I mean equal, not at par ,but perfectly equal) to Yamaha r15 till 110 kmhr, well after that the r15 dies so cannot comment.
Apparently, last time also changed my petrol pump in first time of ownership, earlier bike used to do 215km in 500₹ petrol, now it does 260km in same.(accounting the depreciation in prices ).

Sent from the 0-60 in 3 sec machine.
I easily get 340 kms with 500Rs worth petrol

Yup, i used to fill in Shell for the first year, i used to get constant 40 km/l, then i switched to Indian Oil cause there was a good petrol bunk near my home, so now i am getting 43-44, no clue how but Indian oil gives better mileage compared to Shell, confirmed by 2 of my other friends too. late 2013 and 2014 and then on, all those model 200ns's give 40+ easily i suppose.

mine was 240 rs... including two crappy engine+petrol additives costing 180 rs.

I did not change oil since i changed once after 350 km. My plan is to change to Motul 5100 after 1000 km.

Yeh, learned the hard way. I did not change oil since oil quality was still good. Will change may be after 1000-1200 kms.

I still think the mechanic was good but you have to ask.

One interesting thing, svc center guy topped up some engine oil from already opened Motul 7100 bottle. He was saying that bottle actually has bajaj oil in it. Why would you do such dumb thing. Moreover, one will never know exactly what type of oil one actually have in his bike. best case, buy your own oil bottle and use it.
