I was Unaware of the drain hole before @Prince posted. Got to find out that Drain hole once I get my bike.

In my P150 the water always accumulated on the inner rim/socket of the tank, and if I am not careful while opening the lid, then only water enters the engine.

@sandy and @sumit - This time I have thought of placing a Sponge on the inner rim/socket of the tank, so that it can absorb the excess water. Just opening the lid at frequent intervals and squeezing out the excess water from the sponge during the rainy season will do the job. However, Bajaj should have looked into it, as it's a known issue in Pulsar segment.
dada my pulsar use to misfire...., never started before good 20-25 kicks in the morning...., gave me an economy of 20-25.....engine sound became terrible...., there was nothing like pickup...engine started stopping anywhere anytime...later I came to know, because of water getting mixed with petrol all this is happening, how I got to know is a very long story..

      • Guys, as I said before, the harsh sound from the engine remained the same after waiting it out for more than a 100 kms..( started after 200 Kms and now I am at 334 kms) So, I took it to the service centre today and the mechanic rode it for a short distance. He told me that he needed to check how the engine oil is flowing through the engine. For that he told me to leave the bike in the service centre for a day. I ensured that i got every possible assurance of proper handling of my bike by the service personnel and then I left it there today evening Feel worried now and I atleast hope the issues are resolved by tomorrow..

I myself am 5.4 and have been riding the CBZ * (which has a kerb weight of 138 kgs) for the past 8 yrs without any problem. The NS is only 7 kgs heavier than the CBZ which i don't think should even be considered to not going for this bike. If he is a total fresher towards riding a bike then also it wont be a problem he just has to be a little careful. Practice and gain confidence and then one can ride any bike in this world whether it is a scooty or a hayabusa for that matter.

          Just my thoughts.
I am 5'7 but have really short legs,[thanks to bodybuilding madness at young age!],even in unicorn I can't put my both legs perfectly down.In town when riding solo its ok,with one leg easy. But when some uncoordinated, overweight friends sit as pillion,it becomes real tough. If bike tends to fall to left then fine, but right is a strict no.If my bike tilt towards right I am sure to go down, anyway to stop this?

                    • Hey guys,
I took my NS to svc. Told the guy there that the engine is being harsh, noisy and too much vibrations. He took it for a ride. And then said that all bajaj bikes behave like this nothing to worry. After 1st service it will become smooth.

Still I went on to change the engine oil to Motul 3000 4t 15w50. He didn't have 20w50 grade. it costs me 290 per litre. The stock oil was quite clean and the guy was wondering why.i am changing oil. He apperently doent know.much about bikes. The most funny part is he said that this NS is only shortened 'duck', I was like, "'duck'? Ohh duke, its duke not 'duck' dude.. And it isnt like duke"

Regarding the oil, bike has become smooth but not as much as it was used to.be...hoping for more improvement.

EDIT: I have observed that after oil change, my idling rpm has dropped to 1000. It was 1300 initially. Why should that be happening?? Does the 15w50 makes engine idle at lower rpm than 20w50??

I got late while coming back from college so just showed it to a mechanic in castrol bike zone near my house . He said that either the whole of the front handle , I mean the whole assembly of the front part needs to be changed or some welding has to be done ... what do I do.?

Why don't you try Motul mineral oil?? 3000 series either 20w50 or 15w50. There is a thread on xBHP which lists dealers of motul and contact info. Also mineral oil is good option in running-in period.

If you can't find it anywhere else, RE svc would surely have it. They recommend Motul oils.

He`s changing oil to restore smoothness.. and.. DTSi is a Semi Synthetic oil.. so.. switching to mineral isn`t going to give him engine smoothness back.. atleast as much as a semi synthetic one would.. I would recommend you to keep mineral as last option.. maybe the seniors can comment.. Don`t go for Castrol.. I don`t have a pleasant experience with it.. You can stick to DTSi for now.. and switch to Motul Semi Synthetic Later.. don`t go for any grade below 20w50..!!
