this may be probably due to the heavy bangalore traffic in which we need to frequently shift gears, drive on gear 1 and 2 mostly and do a lot of clutching... hell! i am going out of the city to ride my bike

,checked it by tank reserve method. haven't been on the highway since i was busy with classes and now its onam holidays i can take my bee to highways
i clocked 250 and engine is really smooth.

I'm impressed. It's been exactly 24 hours since I got my baby home and it's already run 120 kms. Now I'm inexperienced in the field of motorcycling and this is my first bike. (I guess here I shouldn't be ashamed to confess I was a scooty guy before
) Anyway, I was adviced not to cross 4k rpm till the engine has run in. Now I can accept that. But how will I know if the engine has run in or not? I can't just start riding differently after say 1000 kms assuming the engine's matured now can I? As such there are many more doubts but lets clarify this one first. Can someone help me?
) ?
