don't share your chassis no and engine no.,rather share in pm.
and the question remains why do i race?

        +1.
My 200 NS crossed 180 Kms today. Mine is also sounding a bit harsher after a splash in the rain followed by the rear disk's squeaking sound. Also the exhaust note sounds a little different than before.Maybe that's because of the dirt stuck in the chain assembly or something.

            • mileage querry

I bought my NS on 20th this month...This is my first bike and I didn't have much previous experience with riding motorcycles. Now its my fourth day,and I'm quite OK with the gear shifting and all.I'm riding between 4 to 5 rpms, mostly in the 5th or 6th gear...still I find I'm only getting a mileage of about 30 kmpl.
my ODO read is now 142 kms.
Is this mileage normal during these running in period? is it true the mileage figures improve after 1st service?? Or is it because I'm not riding well, that I get a f.e of 30 kmpl..???

And one more thing....I read in some sites, that NS is not suitable for medium built guys....TOTALLY WRONG!! Its all about your confidence and perception. I'm just 5'4" tall....guys trust me,I don't find it much difficult.

              • Got 46.6 Kms/ltr with reserve to reserve method testing 50% highway & 50% city ride. Petrol used shell normal this includes before 1st service & after 1st service.

f e may increase after 1st service, but will surely increase after run-in if you can hold your throttle still.
and the question remains why do i race?

It was smooth in the beginning but now guys who sit behind me are saying that it sounds louder and different now.. If its because of the chain, what should we do? lubricate with what and how frequently? somebody Help!

@Ashish : Installing Autocop would void warranty, infact installing/modifying any electric part of P200NS would void your warranty.

Just paid the down payment for my bumblebee and I've been given a delivery estimate of first week of September

Now, my colony has quite a few vicious dudes who wanna put scratches on new bikes, rip the seats, snip off wires, etc....my Pulsar was almost vandalized 5 yrs ago....(and NO, I have no vendetta against anyone..I'm a poor call centre soul who is purely nocturnal and hence not in the way of anyone...but still )

I dont want my NS to go through the same fate, hence I wanna install a Security System such as Autocop or Piranha. Can any of you brothers shed some light on these gadgets...especially the ones that sound alarm when someone even touches it?

                              • Need info on price, installation and if possible a list of features.
                              • Need to know where in Mumbai is it available.
                              • Need to know if installing it will cease the warranty.
                              • Need to know if its safe to install on an all electric (non-kickstart) bike without too many incisions to the wiring.

Thanks again for all the help you guys have extended so far....
                              God Bless!!
@Aditya : showroom guys gave you wrong information for autocop.

Oh btw, don't mess with the horn or the headlamps. It's got a pretty small and weak battery. Try led indicators.

Darn it. I've been waiting since 2 days to take delivery of my bike. Rains playing spoilsport and I cant trust the eurogrip tyres according to many on this thread.
@Rahul : Its sad to hear about your delay.

@bhuwansaini : I paid Rs. 337/- for the same Bajaj oil. I guess your service centre guy over charged you for Oil.

I asked for a coolant top up but they said it was enough to run upto the next service.

Also, this oil runs for 1000-1500 kms according to the svc. And he didn't know whether it was mineral SS or FS.
                              Could anyone confirm/add to this?
@Nilesh : P200NS fuel indicator has 10bars so 1 bar = 1.2ltrs approx. The orange light glows when you are nearing your reserve thus reminding you that you are low on fuel. Just like in old indicators there was a red area before reserve.

When its about to go dry the indicator blinks. (So when on reserve you get one more indication when fuel it just about to finish).

I think i will shoot a mail to BAL and seek clarification on this. Hopefully the makers know whats the logic behind it. Will let you guys know if i discover anything.

@ALL - Today I met my darling while I went to make my full payment..
She looked awesome, while standing with a sexy tilted pose along with her siblings. I wished I had dressed little more smartly to make a good 1st impression.(was unaware that I will be meeting her today). Anyways, checked her out from all sides with a gentle touch of my finger at the right places. She was too shy to talk (wasn't fired up), but I'm sure our tuning matched.
I promised her to meet for a 2nd date on Wed(the delivery date).

Giving u all a small trailer... "Guess the colour" is still ON!!

In fact most of the early owners such as @Rocket jack(2nd xbhpian to own NS), etc are very much absent from the thread.
