I know still dint wanna take chances that too near silk board n all u know
For rear 100% am gonna do something, Ill remove the hugger this hugger makes dirty under seats ( that body color paint portions ) & above the fiber mudguard also this give the bike ugly look from rear.
some days back I removed the hugger & tried with rain & I understand only the tail lamp portions & number plate get dirty. Right now am planning with different fibre materials soon will do it & create a DIY thread

Well the digital fuel indicator does look absurd. Even I don't quite understand how exactly it works. How many liters do one bar indicate. When i went to petrol pump no indicator was it, i filled 1.3 liters of fuel and suddenly 3 bars showed up. Thats weird. My passion pro's indicator gives a fair idea and it looks quite straight.forward Its manual clearly says 1bar = 2litrs . And i found it quite consistent (talking about reading with center-stand on, so as to avoid variation due to tilting the tank.)

Haven'tfigured out how exactly NS ka indicator works. Can anyone throw some light here??
No do not depend on this crapy digital fuel indicator, once when the bike got to reserve & poured 500 Rs of fuel it said full indicators until I rode till 100 Kms & then suddenly it went to 4 bars.
Some times it says 3 needles & suddenly it drops to zero.
Its better trusting the fuel nob.

any bike with disc brakes, will not rotate freely. Did you check it with another bike?

I don't rely on digital indicator, But would have been great it we get to know whats the exact logic behind it.

I have no idea. Anyways, I'm planning to go to the dealer today and click a pic of it. And, what is that plug thingy actually?
Thanks for the info on residential certificates.

or from Tiruvalla(Dont know the shop name)...or the shop named BIKECITY on the way to Kottayam in MC road.

Here are the pics of the mudflap i put on the front tire and the patch applied on the rear split mudguard to prevent mud sprinkling.

The front mudflap is attached as described by @DNA few pages ago. Its a rubber flap fixed with clamps which has nuts on it. You can get this easily in any bikes' spares shop. p220 mudflap would be much neater than than this though, so i am thinking of switching

The rear job is my own idea. I took a black plastic bag and wrapped it around some cardboard sheet. And then applied it in between the gap of split guards with th help of black electric insulation tape. It took some efforts as the counters of the two guards isn't the same. It looks ugly, but i think its better than whole lot of mud on my new NS. Hoping to find some permanent solution.
This doesnt look good! You better go for 220 front mud flaps rather than this. Vinay200 has posted the pics of 220 mudflaps in his diy thread

                          • Mileage Report...

Guys,i have been testing for mileage using tankful to tankful method, already had little petrol when i did tankful last time, since then travelled 418.5 kms, and today again did tankful at the same petrol pump , here are the details:

Fuel used : Shell, unleaded, normal
                            kms ridden : 418.5 kms
Fuel filled again : 10.16 ltrs
                            Mileage = 418.5 / 10.16 = 41.2 kmpl ( rounded off)

p.s : i have NOT babied the bike all this while, have been reving it quite hard in all gears.... my avg speed has been around 60-65kmph , hit mid 80-90's quite a no of times and 100-105 once a while ( dint go above this )..... so considering this, mileage is pretty good and i am all

                              1) The tank looks very scary, especially if you are sitting in the rider's seat. It seems to be very high and if you apply sudden brakes, there is a chance for damage. How much extent is this true??

                              • I was off for 4 days while my dad rode the bike. (he is a commuter)

I came back today. I started the bike this afternoon and idled it for 2 minutes. I was smooth. I've slope in my home to get to road and when i moved it on the slope, the idle RPM rose to 3.2k from 1.5 k. I used the idling screw to bring it back to postion.

I started riding with my mom in the pillion. After 2 mins in the road, the bike started struggling and I felt that I've not turned the petrol knob on.

I stopped and the bike turned off. I switced the petrol knob on and choked and tried all things I can do for 20 minutes and the reaction of the bike is that it starts and it gets off in 5 seconds.

I mean, I can ride it as we do any bike when it is DRY. But this one has 10 litres petrol in it!!!!

Any guess why? I'm waiting for SVC guy to come to my home. (called him)
You have heard of me, But you don't know me. You know what I'am, not what I've gone through
