      • Can P200Ns's ECU be replaced with a programmable one? If yes, what are the options available in the current market?

NO idea on that buddy... I asked him if it was the faired version he was talking about but he said he didn't knew anything about it being a faired version of a naked one...

P200 NS is a carburetor fed engine and does not have ECU

The cushioning is thick so that when the visor is bolted back, it presses against the rest of the pieces. Wouldn't say that the buzzing has vanished entirely but has reduced considerably. The only problem is that since it's a white foaming material and the visor is not entirely black, it's kinda visible from the front which I'm not liking for sure and would replace it as soon as I find an alternative to it.
It happens because of resonance. And easy to get rid of. Just open the front visor, and stick "double sided" tape at all the placed where, the visor touches the console shrouds. Yes, white tapes will look ugly, so try to wrap it with black sticker or something. Will post pictures, there's no sound from my visor area now.

He also told me that the crash gaurd has also been improved from the recent batches and the most interesting thing was that an engineer from pune told them that an FI version of the NS was being developed and tested...

don't know how much of it is true, maybe the seniors can confirm...
FI 200NS? Pure speculation I must say. And a dealer will never get the info even if it's being tested at this point of time. I also doubt about the Horns and crash guards.

Yes, it can be adjusted easily.

There are no major issues with the 200NS. Not even a single engine seizures, fork breaking, handlebar breaking or as such! And by the time, you will be buying the bike, all of these niggles will be sorted out as well. Go ahead, you will not be disappointed. BTW which are the issues which are concern to you? Can you list them?

You can go for it with eyes closed. I am a proud owner, completed 1900 kms. Most of the issues posted here are minor ones and can be easily rectified.

A motorcycle having ECU or not does not have anything to do with it's engine being Fi or Carburetted. The presence of an ECU or absence of it solely depends on the intended purpose. For example a carburetted motorcycle with a proper ABS unit would still have an ECU which would reading data from the wheel sensors and controlling ABS operation, example - our very own Apache RTR 180 ABS (man I so love that bike )

Our Pulsar 200 NS does have an ECU and the primary function of it is enforce the shift indication and cutting of fuel supply afte a specific rpm, but above all the ECU controls the functioning and synchronization of the slave spark plugs to provide optimum fuel burning for optimum power and performance.
Twist your wrist and feel the shift!!

                        My own thoughts - Throttle

What Bajaj customer care says? Are they allowing to put any other brand oil?

How does the Engine Control Unit have anything to with ABS? How does an ECU in a carb bike cuts of the fuel supply, when there's no electronic control of Fuel, ie Fuel Injection. It doesn't choke the fuel supply but limits the current going to spark plugs (rev limiter). In carb ECU is the CDI, and that's about it! No ECU here. But Bajaj likes to call the CDI the ECU.

Were u able to lower them? i tried long back but then was not able to as it starts touching connecting rod, which then restricts the lever movement...

I meant from the stock position, one can go a notch or 2 below, but that's just about it!
