Don't worry friend.. Coolant is Supposed to be working like that only, and the level won't go down unless the coolant overflows/leaks out..Originally posted by zeph_syk View PostHi All,
It is around 1800km on ODO, and what i noticed was that the coolant level never dropped ?!? even when i gave for first service , the SE told me that coolant keeps re-circulating hence level of coolant is constant all the time, is this true? so given it is almost nearing 2k , i find it very strange that the coolant level has not reduced a bit
How do i even verify if the coolant pump is working ? is the same behavior seen on your bike as well?
And one more question was, i am still running on Bajaj Engine oil, is it too late for me to go ahead and change the oil to Motul3000 Mineral oil? or am still good ?
Assuming, you have changed the oil during 1st service, you are almost due to you second oil change in about 2K-2.5K kms.
sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

They might not accept. I saw some cases where free service coupons were not accepted due to the fact that they over rode the started kms by 50+ kms or were late by weeks.
The rear tyre hugger has gone loose. Anyone knows how to tighten it up? Going 30kms just to tighten a screw is overkill!....Riding the Indian Monster : 200NS....

JUst to double check, run the bike, when properly warmed up in 1st gear with slight higher RPM (3-4.5K) for a few minutes. Even if then the fan doesn't start, take it to SVC.
I have seen on the duke thread, that some of them had this problem, just because of a stupid loose connection. Problem solved in SVC within 5 min
If u have some knowledge in electrical, the u can check out the wires yourselfThanks for the replies. Will cross check once again. Anyways have to go the dealer to collect my insurance papers. Will ask them to check when I go...Originally posted by Vineet_200 View PostAs far as I have experienced the fan gets turned on only in heavy bumper to bumper traffic ,first time I noticed it running was after 500 kms on the odo .Riding is not about destinations, it's about journeys.

It was at first only the annoying sound and front vibrating a little when braking hard, gradually it has become so much annoying and unbearable. Before, they did somehow get rid of the sound and brakes worked fine for about 2000km but now it is happening again and I can feel the judder in the brake lever as well.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postyour disc too getting bent?
This time I will not take the bike until they replace the disc under warranty.BreaklessBiker

Whats your mileage?Originally posted by nav007een View Postbut i think my bike is not giving me a gud mileage as it gve before.Even iam driveing normally...And also it s true to lock the RPM for a new bike?when i can change my engine oil as i was done my 1SVC in 1000km
Firstly, you are lucky that you got your 1st service at 1000km because the period is 500-750kms.
If you are using bajaj engine oil then change at around 1500kms (although the Bajaj oil would last till 2000kms on your odo, but I personally find that oil to be good enough for NS). Switch to Motul mineral oil.
There is nothing as a "RPM lock on a new bike". There is a rev limiter at around 10,000 RPM but nothing should stop you before hitting this point. And neither can you lock it by yourself.

Just tighten the two allen key bolts where the hugger is connected to the swing arm..Originally posted by utsavchs View PostThe rear tyre hugger has gone loose. Anyone knows how to tighten it up? Going 30kms just to tighten a screw is overkill!
Guys the Naked Wolves wanted to show Bengaluru how to ride with discipline.. We roamed around in the city to demonstrate the staggered formation for about 20 kms..
Some pics :

ATGATT! There are many wonderful riders/drivers out there who would intrude in your riding space without any notice. Be prepared. Stay Safe.

Cool then, i was a bit worried as lot of people complained coolant levels going down, as mine never didOriginally posted by Shibadip View PostDon't worry friend.. Coolant is Supposed to be working like that only, and the level won't go down unless the coolant overflows/leaks out..

So you think i should stick on to mineral oil till 3k ODO? what are the best practices before you fill in fully synthetic oil? Thanks mate

talking about discipline,i see some bare heads.Originally posted by kaydee_bangalore View Post
how to ride with discipline.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
#overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

the noice made by the fan is amazing na...? Gives an impression of a twin cylinder engine from the sound....so i am fitting another fan soon....Originally posted by myth2104 View PostIn bumper to bumper traffic (assuming you cant go beyond 3/4 gear) I think its fair enough. I know that motomax wax or polish contains abrasives...ut dont know about the dashboard polish. I dont hink it should. But why do you have to use it every now and then? A lot of makeup for the lady is harmful you know
And coincidentally today was the first time I heard my fan working. was riding in 2nd gear for about 2-3 kms with braking now and then and varying between 2-3rd gears. Pathetic roads I must say.
maybe next month....
you just need a L & key set to do it...i think its no. 4 key... Else its no. 5Originally posted by utsavchs View PostThey might not accept. thats exactly what happened with my disc.. That judder is felt on the lever and handle bar...Change it under warranty.... Btw a small piece of advice... When the bent portion of the disc hits the caliper and makes that sound, u'll notice that the caliper assembly moves side to side from the fork when its hit...look for it closely.... I noticed this on my bike and while changing the disc, they opened the caliper and just asked them to show me the two big nuts which attaches the caliper to the fork coz i had a doubt that it might have taken a toll because of the hitting and found one of them to be cracked bit... So please please check those two screws coz it might break all of a sudden and the caliper will fall off and lead to complete brake failure and everything will be in pieces... I got that screw changed too... 2nd thing to check is brake pads... The place where the disc hits the pad will wear out unevenly and will be darker in color... Change that too under warranty...Originally posted by surampudijagadeesh View PostIt was at first only the annoying sound and front vibrating a little when braking hard, gradually it has become so much annoying and unbearable. not for cooling....just for the sound... will fit a small low wattage fan in the front portion of the radiator which will always be connected by an external switch... Will switch it on when i need to hear the sound... Will help in cooling too.... Inside empty gallis, people stare at you when the fan is running...
