Here's the adjuster(pointed by the red arrow). As far as i remember you need to turn it anti-clockwise and it will be fine.

Guys,
I have driven for around 2500 kms now. I followed the rule of driving under 60kmph and under 4k rpm till 2000 kms as per the manual.
I wanted to know when is the second service du?
Should i go for the oil change now? The first service was done at around 600-650 kms and bajaj oil was used. They will not put synthetic oil themselves and if they find out that i have changed the oil myself then they will void the warranty... what to do?
The vibrations have been pretty much under control except for the buzzing under the panels... Has any one found out the solution to this??
This problem has been there since before the first service...
Guy, as per my knowledge, this bike doesnt have fuel injection technology in order to cut cost... then why does it have DTSI written over the engine???
I suppose this bike has an ECU (had read it somewhere), inspite of that, why do we have to tinker with the AFR screw to adjust the idling? In cold start, the idling is always under 1.5k and when the engine has heated up it touches 2...
Thanks,
Rohit

that engine is perfectly run in and he is a super sedate rider...his riding is 100 kms/day mostly on highways with max speed of 65kmph... And its not a one of case... Each and everyone of my friends who use this oil says so.... You can use it for 4k or even 10k it wont matter but using that stuff for so long with lead to chemical reactions inside the engine and is not recommended... You use it for 4k thats a different story...coz there are people who use dtsi oil for 10k kms still dont complain...i even know of people who dont even know what an engine oil is and run with the same oil for years...do they complain? No... Recently i changed my dtsi oil at 1200kms and it had simply nothing left... Sure i can stretch it upto 10k with the same oil but why will i, when i know the truth...? I would love to give my engine fresh oil sn that the internals gets cleaned up... Anyways lets not argue over it... Leave it here...Originally posted by krish2778 View PostBuddy, there are many reasons pointing towards such behavior, and you just had that experience once, even in premium products there can be defects. Engine oil quality varies according to 1. Run-in of engine 2. Operating style(Ripping or sedate style) 3. Piston rings condition 4. Head leakage 5.Riding style and so on. So nothing fixed can be said, that's why i said, in most general case holds upto 4k without any problem. The reason i'm so sure is because , i have been using this oil for long time and i haven't had this issue, my pulsar is over 50k kms in just 2 years, used mostly 5100 and 300v and thus i'm saying this. Whereas you had a bad experience once and left it there. That wouldn't be a good advise to others just because you had one bad experience. If that oil would lose quality at 2k itself, then i would have run it 2k and at time 3k over its limit and would have damaged my engine, but my engine is still running fresh , at 52k kms. I hope you get my point. Just one use-age and you cant give a verdict, use-age over time and general public use-age views also have to be considered. Cheers Mate Ride Safe Krishna
i generally get 37 with 70% heavy riding and 30% sane riding... It drops with a pillion... Moreover i get around 2kmpl less after i changed tires...Originally posted by muztariq View PostLast edited by Rahulbarik; 11-05-2012, 01:35 AM.This Tail Is Japani Tail (spell as you like)

Strange, even i cover 100kms a day and keep the same speed, me too a sedate rider, and have had no problem what so ever to the engine, even after 52k kms on my Pulsar 220, my engine doesn't not complain.
Yes, its best we leave it here.
Cheers mate

Guys, planning to upgrade my rear tire. Always wanted to get rid off the stock Eurogroup and have been doing burnouts for quite some time on my Naked Wolf. Please suggest me a good rear tire within 2-3.5k Mumbai.
Thank You

Did it strike you that you could have exchanged the fresh eurogrips in exchange of the new tire you wanted and just had to pay the remaining ?
Now you have a clutch plate that has eaten away a lot of its own life.
Cheers

PSD is a bit too soft for Indian roads unless and until one's ready to pay for tires every 10-15k km (or might be even less) Revz-S is a good option for Indian conditions thoughOriginally posted by Rahulbarik View Postchoice 1= Psd, choice 2= revz-s

PSD and Revz S both are soft compound tyres (and hence nail magnets). I have been using the Revz S for 13k kms on my R15V2.0. Have had many punctures already and the thread depths have gone down a lot. But the grip is fabulous. Getting the PSD would be a pain. But if you do get it, go for it.Originally posted by csajal View PostPSD is a bit too soft for Indian roads unless and until one's ready to pay for tires every 10-15k km (or might be even less) Revz-S is a good option for Indian conditions though

psd will last 15k..thats true... But revz will get so many punctures that you have to throw it at 15k... i am using revz-s on my ns and extreamely happy....

I remember riding a strech of 10 - 15 kms at 100+ kmph.. I got 30kmpl then!Originally posted by muztariq View PostOils is a very personal topic. An oil which works for you may not work for me, even if we have the same bike. Regarding volume getting low.. I have used servo oil repeatedly for 6 months and around 5k kms (regularly) for 7-8 years(when I didnt knew what engine oil change frequencies should be).. It never showed any loss of volume.
In my bike I may get good performance for 3K from the same oil which you may like to discard in 500 kms in yours.. we cant generalize here.
By the way, I came to the thread to know the mileage figures of 200NS under normal usage - Will search the thread.. No worries.
I usually ride at 60 - 70 kmph... that is 4k - 5k RPM... I get around 45 - 52 kmpl... with stock tyres... maybe my AFR is lean.. didn`t fiddle with it at all!
Got 6 litres in... 204.5 kms so far... still half tank left (as per the fuel gauge)... even though the gauge is bullcrap... I guess that is a good number..!!!sigpic
Drive Carefully...
It is not only the bikes that can be recalled by the maker!
