Hi guys,just wanted to know which petrol is best for NS...Ordinary petrol or petrol like Speed? Which is petrol is best for NS according to your experience & can u guys say the mileage you getting & which is best method to find out mileage for NS-Reserve2Reserve or Full tank2Full tank?

Bro are you talking about the vibes in and around the tank? (which you can feel with your thighs). if its so, so than will tightening the screws resolve that issue?

@All, Guys i'm getting vibes on my bike's handlebar at 6-6.5k rpm range. Anything above and below that, there are no issues. Although the vibes ain't a lot, its kinda tingling. Anyone else with this issue?. Any remedy for this?

Guys i'm thinking of buying this bike, i will be upgrading from its elder sibling i.e Pulsar 200(2008 model). Anyone here who have done the same or have upgraded from p220 would like to hear from him about this bike. Please guys do reply...

Why dont u try the method which is given in manual. Full ur tank note the km reading and then full tank after 100km. And divide the previous km reading with current one.
It will give the exact milage

Bajaj DTS-i 10000 is a semi-synthetic oil.Is this the oil we get when we purchase the bike?We all know that mineral oils are always recommended for run in.Running In | Ash On Bikes //read the paragraph related to engine oil
Why is bajaj putting semi synthetic by default?Or is it because of the short stroke,high revving engine of NS,like most modern bikes mineral oil not necessary?

In the above link it is said that for 200 ns Oil cpacity(Drain and refill) is said to be 1200ml,but max available retail pack is 1150 ml,so does it mean that when draining and refilling we are always 50 ml less than the necessary quantity?

I have a strange oil level problem and a bit scared to ride my NS because of it
now i read somewhere u should check oil level at cold engine...

the pics are taken on a level surface on centre stand

when i saw the oil level before starting my bike first time for the day at 7:30 in the morning the oil level was as as shown in the second pic(the one with lower oil level)

after riding for 4-5km the oil level was as shown in the first picture(the one with higher oil level)

after that i rode 2.5 km and checked oil level again and this time it was the same as the second picture(it was low)

again after that i rode for some 2 km or so and the oil level was still the same....low as in second picture

is there some issue? is this a matter of concern?

should i buy a bottle of dtsi oil and top up?

or should i drain the whole oil myself and fill new oil?

going to ASC will be bit difficult for me as my exams are coming and i dont have much time...for my first service i will have to give my bike with hardly 150-175 km on the odo..


PS i usually get on and off my bike from the left side but to check the oil level i got of on the right side and accidently my legs calf touched the gearbox/clutchcover(whatever its called) and it still burns...does it get that hot???
