With very low fuel, the tank was light enough to exhibit resonance I think. That's what it was all about. Now that it's rectified, I have found my lost love!
Bro are you talking about the vibes in and around the tank? (which you can feel with your thighs). if its so, so than will tightening the screws resolve that issue?

      Congrats Bro

@All, Guys i'm getting vibes on my bike's handlebar at 6-6.5k rpm range. Anything above and below that, there are no issues. Although the vibes ain't a lot, its kinda tingling. Anyone else with this issue?. Any remedy for this?

      • Oil changing query

I have a very general query regarding oil change

The first service is at 1 month and next is at 8 months

so is one supposed to change the oil in between 1st and second service?

i know the bajaj oil doesnt hold up long and after reaching abt 2.5K one should change his oil

but what if someone like me wont even complete 2K kms by second service
should i change the oil in between?

the next part of the query is should i change oil based on the no. of kms travelled (yes i know it depends on type of oil mineral semi or full synthetic...lets consider mineral with a drain period of 2.5-3K kms)

or should i change with the amount of time used mostly have heard 3-4 months?

eg my riding is very less and i ride hardly 250-300km a month

if i go by distance my oil changing frequency would be 8-9 months

so should i change after 8-9 months or should i change after 4 months or usage?

is this oil changing pattern u suggest valid for all mineral semi and full synthetic?

        VIBRATIONS

i do not face any vibration problems as suchbut if i crouch and stick my leg closer to the tank....i feel the tank vibrating
even if while riding i touch the side panels...they are vibrating but when riding normally i dont feel any vibrations as such...only feel it if i touch those places of the bike...just felt the footpegs vibrate twice or thrice
are these vibrations normal or are screws supposed to be tightened more?

are these vibrations everyone is talking about or do u feel vibrations more than this?

I was talking about vibes which can't be felt, but neatly heard, from deep within the tank. After the tightening job, I felt my bike to be smoother than my friend's well maintained cbr250.

Tightening the bolts is a temporary solution. The vibes might come back after a few hundred kms, more or less. This tightening-of-bolts-everywhere job is part of the maintenance steps you have to follow if you want a pleasing ride and a bike which lasts longer.
And bro, if tightening the handlebar doesn't solve things, try the headlight assembly too.

Those are normal bro. AFAIK there aren't any bikes out there that are 100% vibe free. Mild vibrations on the tank and footpegs are normal but irritating ones are not.

was the sound like a vibrating nut in front of the vehicle????

please bro tell me where it is....I am facing that sound at 5 k .... and on bad roads with patches on it....
Yes you pretty much guessed it right..like a vibrating nut (or a whole lot of them). Like I said, there are bolts that might be pretty loose inside the bike concealed by the panels on the sides.

            • Just a random question which came to my head - Why does the duke sound way louder and different compared to the NS? Is it the air filter or the silencer (or both) that make the difference?

              • I think the sound of the duke is mainly due to its exhaust.

The sound is due to many reasons, its pure KTM!

                      • My bike is getting heated up fast only in 20 kms!! The heating indicator also comes up. Checked the Radiator fan (It starts running in about 13-15 mins of running) Although the engine is not heated up (cant feel the heat even with bare hands). This happened at Satara on my latest ride. Had to take a break of 30+ minutes for the indicator to normalize and then ride for 20kms and take a break again. The bike did not fall. Coolant level is at Max. I guess its some sensor issue. Will go to the SVC to get this resolved today morning. The F.E. is same as previous i.e. 50+ kmpl. Riding speed is between 75-105kmph, with mostly cruising at tripple digits.
