Guys i could be visiting Kolkata next week so was planning to buy motul 5100 from there..
A good chance to get motul since i don't get it in gwalior.
So friends (from kolkata) please tell me the names and address of the shops where i can buy motul from.

Actually I believe that my bike does not have that much speedo error. I checked mine with an R15 V1.0 , Fazer 150 , karizma ZMR ,etc and there was barely a difference of 1-2 kmph between these bikes & mine. And NILL difference between my NS & my friend's R15.

Hi Guys,
Posting after a long time here.
I am at 5300 kms on ODO.. Got my second service done at 4700kms, changed the oil to Motul 5100.
No major issues, just the normal console buzzing.
Got my rear tire changed to MRF REVZ-S. The grip on wet roads is just awesome. But yeah bike feels a little heavy on the rear now.
Even bought a Spartan Helios Jacket for my safety.

It's really sad to read about so many issues on the day of delivery of bike.

Correction, Was made by motul, they have changed the manufacturers now, thus the change in oil quality.
Lot of fakes for castrol, and the oil is just no good, the mineral oil that is, loses viscosity in just over 1500kms.

1.Clean the sprockets(front and back, tighten chain), this will cause a HUGE difference in ride quality, a loose chain can cause the ride quality to insanely disturbing levels.
2.Clean the air filter or get a new one,will make engine less harsh and smooth running.
3.Since last service if you were running on same oil (ie for neraly 5k kms) and that too if it was the bajaj oil, then you are almost 3000kms + late for an oil change.
4.Kis kis noise might be the chain running dry, lube it and clean sprocket, if its from the disk, pressure wash the pads or apply sand paper.
From what you said, im assuming you have not tried any of the above steps , so its safe to assume that its this long service intervals to blame. The older pulsars had a service interval of 2500kms which is some some strange reason 5000kms now i guess.
Do try out these steps and revert back here on how much has changed

I really like this bike in yellow colour. I have few questions related only to performance. I hope all the NS dudes will answer me.
1) Whats the max speed you have done sitting in fully upright postion? (Kindly mention your body weight)
2) Whats the max speed you have done with a pillion on board? (Kindly mention your's and the pillion's body weight)
3) Is it possible to cruise all day at 130kmph on speedo? (Considering that fact that its relatively tall geared than Duke 200)
Please answer these 3 questions. Thanks a lot in advance!

Bro.. any FE differences by switching to MRF REV-Z... How about the handling on dry roads?
Did not switch to Fully Synthetic Oil... So didn`t stay on Redline of the RPM for more than 2-5 secs (Motoman Break-in)... So I cannot say this is the best numbers... 1). Top Speed - 95 kmph upright - body weight: 74 kgs.
2). Top Speed - 128 kmph with a pillion of weight 87 kgs.
3). I am not sure of 130... but I am sure this boy can do a 120 - 125 kmph all day.

(1) About 144Kmph, post that it gets difficult to maintain stability. But there are many factors, including cross winds, road gradient which makes difference. (2) 135 Kmph with a combined weight of 142Kgs.
(3) The bike is capable of cruising at 130Kmph all day long, but not the rider. Vibes, wind resistance makes it difficult. On open road, about 110Kmph is a comfortable cruising speed for day long rides!

me too did the same thing with a pulsar 180 and 220.... Mine showed the least speed of the three while cruising together...it was like 2kmph diffrerence at 60 and around 5kmph at 100...
