Yup...and I swear Im never going to go there again!
And I don't think they even see the points written on the job card...you have to coax them and at times be stern to get your job done. My moron (the mech) was Mr.Chuckles! He was giving smiles to almost everyone at the svc for no reason.

yes yamalube is made by motul but the quality is nowhere close to motuls available in the market... Try valvoline or petronas or castrol power1(only if you find a genuiene one)

Especially since the past 300 kms the bike felt like a generator post 80 kph mark. I was regretting my decision of getting myself the 200 NS. Felt like I should have bought the R15 V2.0. To sum it up I wasn't in love with my bike.So I tuned the AFR screw today to make the air-fuel mixture a little richer and turned the screw 180 degrees ( anti-clockwise ) and now there are no vibrations even @ 110 kph !!! NONE !!!! No vibes in the 4-6k rpm range either. The bike sounds more throaty and nice now. Though the richer setting would decrease the fuel efficiency by a small amount but its a small price to pay for no vibrations. The bike feels much more smooth now , though, there isn't any variation between the RPM & the corresponding speed i.e the bike still attains 100 kph mark @ 7000 rpm just like before altering the AFR mix, but minus the vibrations.
haha told the same to you on fb...even mine became so damn boringly smooth that i again made it leaner but still much richer than before so that i get atleast a little bit of vibration as feedback

running with you bike on dtsi oil for 4.5k kms will screw the engine.... Change oil every 1000 kms in case of dtsi....i case of semi syth motul, change at 2k... If u love your bike then dont run your bike on dtsi more than 1k...

But it's very faint, and can be heard only if I ride lidless in a Quite locality. Even the noise gets dampened by the engine noise as soon as the bike picks up speed. Not very worried about it though. As PSR sir said, i think, it requires some cleaning. Your post did gave me a great amount of peacePSR ji - While making the ride today, i had to stop for a while to take a phone call. (I switched off my bike and the halt was about 10 min). When i restarted, the enigne wud go off after starting for a sec or two. I had that for about 5-6 times. Then i increased the idle a little bit and found that the engine is behaving like a locomotive engine!! It was like for 2 sec the fuel was comming in and the idle was increasing, and after that the fuel supply is stopped making the idle go down.[Summary - the idle is not constant, moving from 1.3k to 1.1k RPM] DOES THIS MEAN I AM RUNNING ON A VERY LEAN SETTING??? ya, the manual tells a top up at 5000 kms and the next change at 10000kms... But buddy, it's just a DTSI oil, and it can no way go to 10k kms.. All those who have Experience in this, knows that the oil have an actual life of about 1.5 to 2k kms. In case it was ridden hard, then the oil life reduces further. So change to Motul, or Shelf, and that will have a better life and performance. But don't expect a 10K kms lifespan from those as well!!
what you are experiencing is lean mix along with improper tuning.... A rule of thumb...: when you see that bike isn't idling..., always increase the fuel screw than increasing the idling.... Its better for the bike....

[QUOTE=nishant.sukharia;888651]Yes. Now there are no vibes at all. Even the tank is as stable as the frame now !!! The difference is very apparent. Before tuning the AFR I was very much hesitant to do speeds over 55 kmph because of the vibes which were insane after 80 kmph mark , but now I have to look at the console to know what speeds I'm doing.I used to keep a gap of 1 inch between my legs & the tank so as to avoid a free vibration massage but its a whole different story now. And now I am happily riding over 70 kmph.
I can't tell you in words how happy I am to know that it was just the AFR which was responsible for the vibes. But that's all in the past now.

True. The vibes ( if any ) magnify when there's a pillion on-board.Though I haven't got a chance to test this after the AFR tuning.I'll post the response as soon as I check this. And All the best with the tuning.

Calculate the fuel efficiency you are getting right now & if its over 40 kmpl then I'd say that you are also having the same issue I had i.e a lean AFR.I tuned my NS' AFR today, to rich ( 180 degree anti-clockwise ) and the difference is as if its not even the same bike !! The vibes are gone !!
If you know how to tune the AFR on your NS , make it a tad richer. But first calculate the fuel efficiency.

I am getting around 43 kmpl. But shiver does not mean vibes. Actually it is shaking due to wind even at the speed of 65 and more. Someone also told me today to check chain setting at svc centre.

Any bike with a rear disc brake will not behave like that, because with every disc brake, there is Some amount of friction between the disc, and the brake pads(you can feel it by hearing the sound while moving the bike with phusical force, keeping the engine shut)
So, since NS has a rear Disc, the rear wheel won't have the free movement , which is there in the lower CC bikes.
I am afraid your explanation of the wheel 'spinning' (not 'wheelspin' which has been explained by another user) is not correct. Whatever the brakes (disc/drum) they shouldn't be causing this (if your disc pads are touching the discs, then you are supposed to get them fixed correctly and they shouldn't be rubbing the discs!!)
Coming to the reason why the rear wheel 'spins' very slowly when in neutral is because of clutch 'drag' , causing the power to be transmitted to the rear wheel. this could also happen when the oil is cold (i.e. bike just started after a couple of hours) and might not be present on a fully warmed up/hot engine.
Get your clutch adjusted properly and the free play should be right. but nothing serious enough to worry as long its a very slow 'spinning'

And one more thing its around 2400km on odo. Yet to do a second service at 4500km. Should i change my oil. And will service people come to know if i have changed my oil because they told that you must stick to bajaj oil till first 3 free services. I have read lot about motul in this forum. Which motul oil will be ideal now for ns. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
i changed my oil to motul 3100 today.... Its better than dtsi... Cost 320/litre...bought two bottles and got 150rs cashback... Svc guys wont come to kno anything... Change it ASAP.. I used my dtsi for 1k kms and it became completely black and like coca-cola and its good to see some owners actually admitting the faults of the bike.... Me too being an owner admit that this bike have very poor handling..... Only thing the chasis can do is cornering....but still, if roads are bit patched, it will start shaking... No straight line stability whatsover....total nonsense handling. A very confused bike from bajaj...i faced a huge backlash when i told these long back...but truth is truth....bajaj still dont know how to make a chasis... The bike is very shaky... Just hate the handling....its very scary and the rear jumps up every now and then...

Which I figured out is Nill but the bike felt very stable. So in total 180 Degrees of anti-clockwise turn. I'd suggest you to take a screw driver with you on a long stretch of road which is good in condition & traffic is scarce. And tune by only 90 degrees at a time until you get the desired results.
btw how can your bike 100kmph at 7k rpm in 6th? Are you sure man? Mine does 100 at 6.4k rpm...

^^ read thru this & it should help ( i used to wonder about the wheel 'spinning' phenomenon a few years ago, until i learnt about it thanks to the internet and some 'practicals' to clear my head.)

                          • From the last 300kms, vibes have crept in. Everything on the bike rattles. The chain is so loose that if going over anything uneven, its gonna strike the covers.
Feels as if the front part will fall of. Infact I was so scared on the other day, I tried tightening the nuts and bolts myself in the front part but found nothing to be loose. The bike is not at all smooth now. It feels harsh. 5th time the bulb got fused. Not sure if the disk is bent or not, but a tiny khis khis noise comes to the ears if I am riding down a slope with the engine off. Bike is at 11,894k kms. Mileage and acceleration has also taken the hit. Getting 28kmpl in city and 30ish on highways. Acceleration has gone as low as the P150 or lower and feels little sluggish post 6k RPM. Only took the bike above 8k on two occasions, i.e. once trying to check the max speed and once I was in real hurry to reach home and I was 30kms away on highway. Other than that, you can say I rode it sanely under 80kmph all the time. Very sad now.

Gonna visit the svc tomorrow for the 3rd and final free service.

Please suggest if post free services, should I continue going to probiking or should I try outside in the likes of Castrol SVCs and BOSH SVCs. Have never been to these SVCs, so I don't know their service quality.
