Guys I wanted to post about this problem but I thought this is a small problem and will vanish after a visit to service center but the problem still persists. Problem is that after the recent tyre change there's no problem at the front but there's a problem with the chain, while riding at low speeds or slowing down there is chain rubbing sensation and it generates a vibration but at higher speeds the uneveness is there but it is not felt because of the engine vibration. I checked for the slackness but it is just right and chain is also lubed. So experts can pour in some solution.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi,
My 200NS has clocked ~6500km as of today and second service done on Sep 2015. It was purchased on Jan 2015. It is been ridden at least 3 km daily and monthly twice it runs for 240kms at least.
I say all these to judge how frequent the machine is under operation.
Yesterday after a 60km commute on highway, during return the battery indicator started to glow when ignition key is switched on but with engine not running. The battery indicator goes off when engine gets cranked. There are no signs of feeble horn or poor cranking.
The manual says the indicator means a low battery. This weekend I will try to measure the charge during states (Ingnition off/Ignition on/Engine idling/Engine rev at 3k RPM).
I am just worried how long the battery generally lasts and curious to know about other NS owner's experiences. Has anyone faced this battery indicator problem? Does it blink or glow constantly?
Did any one change their battery? If so after how many KMs or months?
Thanks.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I am reposting it..to all NS owners please have views on the air filter..what's the effect of upgrading the air filter on NS ..say switching to the K&N..is there any change in performance of the bike..one of the mechanics in Gurgaon told me switching to K&N will decrease the mileage of the bike..please have views..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
There are lots of videos about it.however knn has bigger porrs which enables more air to come which also results in engine dusk accumulation.its always better to stay away from knn.also you void your warranty.Originally posted by tanirbhay View PostI am reposting it..to all NS owners please have views on the air filter..what's the effect of upgrading the air filter on NS ..say switching to the K&N..is there any change in performance of the bike..one of the mechanics in Gurgaon told me switching to K&N will decrease the mileage of the bike..please have views..
The reason why mileage becomes low is because you also need to tune the AFR screw for more power which results in lesser milage.
Simple equation MORE POWER=LESSER MILEAGE! [emoji51]

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have installed K&N on my NS and I've been riding it for 6000 kms now..so far no issues with it..But I didn't tune the bike..so for me the mileage remains same, maybe better if ridden sanely..and note that the bikes' sound is only loud above 3K rpm..so it sounds normal under 3000 rpm and once you open up the throttle, the sound changes and gets a lot louder at higher rpm and you will get a better power at higher rpm and yeah, it is a head turner due to the sound..Originally posted by tanirbhay View PostI am reposting it..to all NS owners please have views on the air filter..what's the effect of upgrading the air filter on NS ..say switching to the K&N..is there any change in performance of the bike..one of the mechanics in Gurgaon told me switching to K&N will decrease the mileage of the bike..please have views..

These are the voltages measured using a digital unbranded voltmeter.Originally posted by Narayanan View PostHi,

Ignition off 13.54
Key on, kill switch on 13.54
Key on, kill switch off 13.40
Engine start, idling 14.6
Rev to 4K 14.8
Idle with headlight on 13.6
Idle with headlight off 14.6
Engine switched off pass switch on 12.8 and declining.
Even though the open voltage of the battery is above 13v the low battery indicator comes up. I produced these readings for those who would be interested to know.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
This is the default setting from company. I think you make it a little more softer by turning it one notch, the softest setting. Thats it.Originally posted by saran93 View PostThis is my current monoshock setup. Am I on softer side or harder side?Last edited by danny king; 12-12-2015, 09:55 PM.Your bike is a part of you....
