Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yes the burning smell is absolutely normal.it comes out only when you cross above 8000 rpm.otherwise it does come but not prominent.and the bubbles are normal.its fully synthetic so its okay.
These are high revving engine and such things are pretty normal.
However I have AS200 and that exhibits the same smell and bubbles.so its absolutely normal.don't be bothered.you guys seem to get good mileage.I get around 34 in Bangalore city.before it was good.
However how you guys arebliking the 7100.I am in love with the oil and I will stick to it forever.it makes the engine calm and doesn't let you know when you reached 10K rpm even!

Yeah true it makes the engine a lot calm and the engine feel a lot more relaxed at higher rpms.[emoji4]Originally posted by xplod566 View PostYes the burning smell is absolutely normal.it comes out only when you cross above 8000 rpm.otherwise it does come but not prominent.and the bubbles are normal.its fully synthetic so its okay.

No point switching to 5100 if you are planning for 7100.and this bike deserves 7100.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostBother to brother:- agreed to that[emoji4]
And after 6-7k kms I will switch to motul 5100 thanks for the advice.
I was about to put 5100 until my service guy forced me to put 7100(He is a nice guy and didn't even utter the word warranty void, coz he told its not gonna be void)
Bike is smooth, stress free engine.....go for 7100.I switched at 7870 kms

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thank you and thanks to others for your reply. It put my mind to rest. I saw the bubbles and suddenly became worried.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostYes I to face same thing but I think its normal as there is no problem to the bike but some times after riding the bike at high revs I encounter a burning type smell from the engine. And this was not there when I was using bajaj engine oil.

Now that I changed the front tyre, next I am going to change the rear. Most probably next month.Originally posted by danny king View PostHi. I bought the Zapper FQ for Rs 2200. I bargained for a discount but the MRF T&S owner did not budge. Since, I was the badly in need, I bought it. The technician tried to dissuade me and wanted me to take the FX1 which also in stock. He was saying FX1 has more sales. I bought the last FQ piece.
I have to say, the FQ offer superb dry and wet traction. Euroslips are nothing compared to FQ. I can now ride in utmost confidence.
Next, I have to change the rear Euroslip. Probably, next month.
MRF lists so many motorcycle tyres in their website. But only a handful of the models are available at any store. I inquired with 8 the T&S stores Trivandrum city area, listed in the MRF website and 3 of them had 100/80 17 in stock, that too FX only. And only one store had both FX and FQ. No other models in 100/80 17 section were available.
Shortlisted tyres based on priority:
Michelin Pilot Street Radial 130/70 17 Rs 5400
MRF Revs S 130/70 17 Rs 3300
MRF Zapper S 130/70 17. Don't know the price
Two of the multi-brand stores I visited had TVS ATT235 (not sure about the model number). Tread pattern very similar to Revs S. Very cheap. One of the two quoted Rs 2350. 5 years company warranted.
"No sir. Don't want it even if I get it for free."Your bike is a part of you....

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
A big no no to TVS tyres any day. By the way i am using Zapper-S at the rear and it has been ~300 kms. Few days back i encountered a panic breaking situation instead of applying both the brakes i applied the rear brake only, the obvious reason was that i was fearing a fall and the tyres were also not warm, when i jammed the rear brake the tyre did lock up but the grip level from tyre was immense i was riding at ~70km/h and the speed shedding was very fast and the bike didn't fishtailed a bit. I am quite satisfied as the tyres are still in break in period and have a good grip, will show their true colours as the kilometers wore on.Originally posted by danny king View PostMay be even to hell.
