<<<<ALERT >>>>
Gentlemen, Please read these topics: They are about coolants & their maintenance (very important)
The conclusion is that Motul Inugel coolant is very harmful for the NS/AS/NS/RS bikes. This coolant is damaging the important oil-seal at waterpump chamber, hence making coolant to enter the crankcase & mixing with engine oil, therefore silently killing the engine.
Another bad news is "maybe" few NS/AS/RS bikes came with default factory filled Motul Inugel coolant
So please check this issue by looking through your engine oil window. If you see any white milky bubble/froth or green-ish liquid, urgent attention is required!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Which is the better chain for NS ... the current .520 or a .428 - If I decide to change does the front and rear sprocket need changing too ? If yes, could someone please advise as to the total cost involved and where could I get the chain set in Delhi NCR , preferably Gurgaon ?
I have read that the 428 is lighter than the 520 so would actually help in shedding a trifle weight but at the same time has a shorter shelf life too. It is a fact ?
I would not like to alter the gear ratios BTW. Possible ?

Did you ask him if he has changed sprockets? No other way to get this speed...unless you were riding in 5th gear.Originally posted by ravi_m View PostHey..today i drive my cousin ns after long time..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
428 offers less weight, less rolling resistance and friction. Improves power transmission to the rear wheel due to less transmission losses. But you have to find one that matches the tension (strength) specs of the 520, or you could damage the chain quicker than you can imagine, if you are one of the guys who utilizes all the 23Bhp frequently. I don't think you can find an Indian chain/sprocket set like that with same specs. Btw, Pulsar 150's chain & sprockets will SUIT, but it's not an O-ring chain. Neither does it have the same strength.Originally posted by GauravD View PostWhich is the better chain for NS ... the current .520 or a .428 - If I decide to change does the front and rear sprocket need changing too ? No problem whatsoever..
If that was the case bajaj would have noticed and changed the default coolant

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi all, recently had problem of coolant disappearing in my NS. I was on my trip of Bhutan and during the trip I noticed that the coolant reservoir is empty. Sent a PM to Divya sir for some advice and got prompt reply. Bought a bottle of Castrol Radicool ( Only this was available ) and topped up. But topping up didn't solve the problem. As I kept riding.. The coolant was disappearing and after around 500 kms of ride the reservoir got empty again. Came back return from the trip and rushed to the SVC. They said that one of the gasket was faulty and they changed it. As I was busy with my work after long trip, couldn't go to check this personally at SVC. Since then I didn't get enough time to ride but coolant level is normal as per my observation. But one thing I noticed now is a slight change in color of engine oil. I put Motul 7100 which is Red in color. Here are pics of oil color after the gasket change for coolant problem. I didn't opt for engine oil change this time as the oil was just 3000 kms old and I thought that being full synthetic oil I can stretch drain interval for another 2000 kms. Should I change the Engine Oil immediately? Is the color of oil OK? I feel the Engine smooth as ever while riding. Is this normal? Am I thinking too much?Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostI am running on inugel

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi guys
Recently I rode one of my friends 200ns. He is keen on selling it. He completed aground 12k kms on it. The problem is that the clutch acts strange.its like an on- off kind of feeling . also bike jerks a bit when it starts from standstill in 1st gear.he did change the clutch wire settings I.e check freeplay etc and still the same.
He wants to sell the bike and wants an urgent help as to what could have happened?
Any solution pls..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello everyone
I am in the market looking for a used bike in the range of 50-55K.
I am considering a 2013/14 200ns.
Should i go for a used ns?!
Is it worth buying a used 200ns?!
Also what other bikes can i go for?!
I am currently using a unicorn 150 and i need something more powerful with better brakes.

Coolant Leak!
Hello all,
I ride a pulsar 200ns and i recently noticed that my coolant level was decreasing slowly. I found the source of the leak when I looked around. Seems like the gasket is the cause of the leak. I was thinking of getting it repaired myself. What do you guys think? I was thinking of draining the coolant completely and then replacing that gasket and filling the coolant back up. Is there anything else that I should do? Kindly advice. Thanks.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro, any engine oil's colour will get dark due to carbon accumulation. If this colour is after 3K, carbon is less, I would say. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Check whether the outer (cable) cover is damaged somewhere. Also check whether inner cable is partially damaged, ie, some strands broken.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostHi guys

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Is the clutch cable breaking an inherent design problem with the 200NS? Have owners had to change an extraordinary number of clutch cables?
Asking, since a friend of mine has had unusually high cable breakages on his NS and always at the bottom end.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city
