Looks good, no doubt. But the white light saturates that is where the main problem starts, and the high beam. Check your picture yourself for highbeam. The halogen light doesn't saturate and hence appears very pointed and provides good long range, while the HID on the other hand, gives more brightness and makes every single stone visible nearby, but the effective range reduces esp with other light sources.

Mine is a bad story, spent close to 3K for these and now another 2K to bring back to stock Halogen. Will update the HID fixing pictures soon.
Not to mention the poor fellow riders coming the on the opposite lane. Please check the high beam focus, it points to sky. But it's not adjustable like Halogen.

What's the cost and make bro?.
I too, fitted a HID (5500K). The lighting is good, colour is close to the tubelight's which we use in our houses. High beam illuminates everything on the road, but the range is very short. The science is, blue light (white light has more blue in it) scatters (spreads) more while for yellow it is less. It doesn't reach out to even half the distance of the 100W halogen (4300K). So, back to 100W, and I'm happy
Edit: I used a HID bulb with the stock reflector, and trust me, it gives more focus than the projector's beam in the pics above!
You can change the beam from the projector by changing the gap btw the lamp and the lens. At a certain gap, you will get a very narrow beam, just like those high power torchlights.

Got it from local bike shop in delhi.

It was beginning of night time so we were testing the beam.
We got it adjusted as soon we saw that high bean was not on point.[emoji41]

As you all might be aware, that TVS Apache (Draken Concept) is to be launched by Feb 2016 more likely, and it is expected to hit anywhere from 24-25 bhp with Dual channel ABS (Which already TVS has it). So Bajaj will be put to a tough challenge here. Anyday anybody would go for dual ABS and also one can expect the cost from TVS.

This is the right time to release NS, a right competitor in their hood to defend. So an FI and ABS is very important. Forget cost, today even a gixxer 155cc costs about a Lac. So no wonder if NS is priced at 1.2 Lacs, but it needs right goodies. Also 200NS already came with FI in other areas (thai, indonesia) except India, so bringing them or making them isn't a big deal for Bajaj.

Buy the time, they release NS, the price of Duke200 would touch 1.7Lac for sure and will again make this deal sweet keeping a difference of 50K between Duke and NS.
I agree with you on this. There is no point in bringing the NS back without any technological changes. Besides, its been 3+ years since the NS was launched. 200 to 250 cc segment is slowly, seeing some competition from Indian and International players. Bajaj's main selling point are its stylish, powerful yet VFM motorcycles. People love it. Today, embracing new technology, safety and keeping products up to date are essential for their survival.

Yeah, that's the fact and because of that, no matter how much the lumens were, the saturation did happen at some point. That was one reason why I didn't like Philips extreme vision which also tends to produce bluish white color.

Mine had 2200 lumens, 3700 Kelvin. But the color looked much of white and a slight blue tint. The main reason I changed the whole assembly desperately was that I couldn't drive past 40kph on my return trip at night, which was about 60km. Just imagine how bad would have been my experience?.. Just about 15-20 feet was hardly visible. Now even the stock 60/55W appears very good...and I find that more than enough. I just wasted so much for this fancy items

so @krixna, how did you setup 100w?. Any special (thick wiring), relay, ceramic holder, etc?. If so, did you buy online?.
Already Ankitsingh007 told very precisely with pictures, but just asking your experience out of curiosity

BM Automobiles, Madipakkam. I bought my NS at Khivraj Bajaj, but their service and response was VERY bad (with my first sevice), so I approached this small sales and service point as I already know one good guy there.

If you go searching for a headlight upgrade wiring kit for your bike, you'll not find one, plus people will call you nuts for trying to fit a 100W on a bike So here's what I did, you can do that too.
Buy one used to upgrade the Maruti800 to 100W. It has wiring for two lights, of course. Cut off one side and tape it up neatly. You can fix the relay and fuses under the seat, near the battery. The best thing about this kit is, you don't cut the bike's wires. You have to plug in the existing headlight connector in the bike to a connector in the kit. That will be the switch for the relay. The new connection to the headlight is a ceramic holder from the kit. (You cut the other holder off, keep it safe somewhere). I used Roots. Other kits are available too, find one that you get in your area

Sorry bro, should've made it clear. shrey1992 shared some sample pictures to clarify the needs for 100W Halogen setup such as wires, relay and Ceramic H4 socket, etc. Check this link

But now that you have upgraded to 100W, does it fluctuate when the engine rpm is below 3000? or when idling?. My most wanted answer is "Does the batter get enough charging current during engine idling?". As many tend to keep the headlight on when on neutral, this might drain the charge very quickly. What is your take on this?. Also any threat about reflector melting scenarios?.

Now I'm happy with my Halogen stock, new reflector. So one day will switch to 100W when possible. So does anyone need projector?, I can give for free of cost

Ever since i bought the bike(200 AS) i had been having a strange problem.Somtimes it behaves how it should and sometimes a totally different character.I thought thats how pulsars were but then i had one BIG problem.Inconsistent mileage. And doesnt matter how much i ripped or sedately i ride , 9 out of 10 times it returned me around 31 Kmpl and that lucky 1 time it would give me 38 Kmpl on Bnaglore traffice.THen the terrible Cold start problrem every 2-3 Hours.THe point is when its 31 you know Fuel i not getting burnt properly. So recently i was getting 26 and a sudden Jerk if i open the throttle. Then the vibes and little did i know i was hearing tappet noise.I tried adjusting AFR screw multiple times but no good.

Finally i visited Khivraj kasturba road for a thorough checkup. The service head knows me well and he listens to whatever i say.So i asked him for a mileage test for 100ML.it showed 2.5 Kms meaning 25 Kmpl.Thats insane.Service person told thats normal and thats when he got a proper dose from me.He told he will call the Bajaj head engineer and fix an appointment to fix it as he thought its in my head and bike is fine.I told him atleast doa thorough checkup and then get back to me.Even after that its not fixed i cna understand.

Finally it was taken to service. The SVC guy is a champ in NS.He absolutely knows what he is doing. He opened the Fuel pipe and cleaned it,Opened the carb and cleaned it ,checked the tappet settigns and did it,spark plug, Diapharm etc etc....Finally when i tested it again it was having awesome pickup with such a smooth engine and 38Kmpl!.

After thinking a lot i found out 2 problems with the bike

1)Diapharm was incorrectly placed when stock.
2)I am sure the tappet was out of place as i dont hear any sort of noise at all and i think i now Know how tappet noise sounds like!

The reason why i was able to fix it because i made my mind to fix it that day and doesnt matter whatever happens they will have to fix it.We invest a lot and SVC guys ideally doesnt care much.THe same problem when i told on 5000 Kms they told everything is fine with AFR tuning done.ANd now he actually did it coz i told him to proide me with a Job Sheet saying its fine and normal(26 KMPL with vibes etc) and i will get abck to Bajaj.ANd the same guy actually fixed it and i get to witness his excelent work.He did coz he tried and he knew what he was doing.Bike beels so fresh now and loving every bit of it.I am still to check Tank full method but then i think its no more an issue because the bike starts at 1 click and the idle is absolutely smooth hearing every beat!Yes thats a sign of healthy engine and correct AFR settings for a Carb bike.

I would aslo like to personally thank @Divya Sharan who initially told me it might be an issue with Diapharm or the carb as the Diapharm was indeed placed improperly on the bike .
