1. High altitude breathing issues, automatic tuning of AFR accordingly by sensing the air and temp by FI, with carb, it goes all manual and time consuming and sometimes headache
2. Bad or rapid change in weather, FI handles automatically
But again, as you said any issue, you'd be stranded on the desert, with no help
Another con is that the Fi cuts usable tank range by atleast 2 litres.
With already limited NS/AS tank at 12 Litres, a 2 Litre drop would be catastrophic.

10000 km is too early for bore/valve guide wear. If the oil level is not dropping, then you need not worry.Originally posted by kr7777 View PostThere is no engine oil consumption it remaines the same by the way my odo reading is 10239km.

High beam focuses flat above the road. I should be focused little down if it should be of any use to the rider. Also, it will hinder oncoming traffic severly unless you reduce the focus height. BTW, the bike looks awesome in projectors. Waiting for night time pics..Originally posted by Ankitsingh007 View PostGot Installed HID projectors on my brothers bike.

Here Some comparison from stock (My NS) vs a projectors light reflection.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
NS actually fills around 14 liters. And the FI system can handle below 2 liters comfortably once in a while, just not regularly. BTW we are supposed to fill up when we hit reserve, not ride till the last drop like the young college going guys do.Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostAnother con is that the Fi cuts usable tank range by atleast 2 litres.

200NS can do 400 kilometers before hitting reserve on a full tank. It's quite an okay figure when it comes to range IMHO.

(I thought you would go for 100W)
Looks good, no doubt. But the white light saturates that is where the main problem starts, and the high beam. Check your picture yourself for highbeam. The halogen light doesn't saturate and hence appears very pointed and provides good long range, while the HID on the other hand, gives more brightness and makes every single stone visible nearby, but the effective range reduces esp with other light sources.
Mine is a bad story, spent close to 3K for these and now another 2K to bring back to stock Halogen. Will update the HID fixing pictures soon.
Not to mention the poor fellow riders coming the on the opposite lane. Please check the high beam focus, it points to sky. But it's not adjustable like Halogen.
What's the cost and make bro?.Last edited by jbm_guy; 12-15-2015, 11:50 AM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It's a good news that NS will be coming with FI but then its gonna increase the price by atleast 20k.frankly speaking the whole point of NS in the market with Carb was cosr cutting.if its an FI then I would incline towards Duke 200.
Even the Carb doesn't have any issues and runs like a charm.then the FI goes kaput if no fuel is there.
NS is all about budget and frankly speaking it actually doesn't need an FI.but still it would be a nice thing to see it with FI.however if it's price increases then Duke 200 would always be a better option.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
My third service done, here are the cost break up
KMs ran - ~7K.
Bill Summary
Bajaj Oil - 341
OIl filter - 67.8
Headlamp assy - 1712
Chain Lube + Teflon - 120
Repair of headlight - 250
Service tax of 14.5% for all the above = ~362/-
The total amount = 2852/- (including 14.5% tax)
The charges are high for spares, but then, this is a small svc and hence so. So basically, unless we tell them this is wrong or not working, they won't bother to check or change....
Anyway, mine had zero issues, so I told them clearly not to touch anything.
Finally back to Bajaj Oil, well Motul 5100 didn't please me enough. Maybe should have tried Motul 7100 which has the same grade as Bajaj oil, but then it costs a hell as i already have 1 bottle of Motul 5100
(how do I sell it?). So temporarily moving to Bajaj oil, it didn't disappoint and looks decent to me.
Anyway back to track after rain

Exactly you spoke my mind, but then bringing the same old NS is not a right competition for TVS Apache. As you all might be aware, that TVS Apache (Draken Concept) is to be launched by Feb 2016 more likely, and it is expected to hit anywhere from 24-25 bhp with Dual channel ABS (Which already TVS has it). So Bajaj will be put to a tough challenge here. Anyday anybody would go for dual ABS and also one can expect the cost from TVS.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostIt's a good news that NS will be coming with FI but then its gonna increase the price by atleast 20k.frankly speaking the whole point of NS in the market with Carb was cosr cutting.if its an FI then I would incline towards Duke 200.

This is the right time to release NS, a right competitor in their hood to defend. So an FI and ABS is very important. Forget cost, today even a gixxer 155cc costs about a Lac. So no wonder if NS is priced at 1.2 Lacs, but it needs right goodies. Also 200NS already came with FI in other areas (thai, indonesia) except India, so bringing them or making them isn't a big deal for Bajaj.
Buy the time, they release NS, the price of Duke200 would touch 1.7Lac for sure and will again make this deal sweet keeping a difference of 50K between Duke and NS.
