According to bajaj its 2 yrs or 30k km . But when I searched on Google it says every 1 yrs before summer is the good option.

I ve been riding NS 200 for 3years and ODO is 53,000 KM. I never touched carb and didn't let SVC touch it. Been regularly changing air filter and petrol inline. But now I suffer sudden drop of power i.e I have to give more gas (more throttle) to reach higher rpm. Who is at fault? What are factors that could result in power(bhp) drop..?

It is such a cabaple engine yet letdown by major flaws .this would be probably my last bajaj bike
well, I said this long back to you.... The failure rate is about 35% with Bajaj and for jap it's about 10-12% (from a recent statistics). So sad to hear about your story. I had the same fear after facing severe nightmare with my Disco. In fact I took oath that I shouldn't buy Bajaj again... but NS appealing and performance forced me and blinded my eyes... Anyway I don't have any problems with my NS as of now...except for some harshness and a bit of vibes.... But this will be my last Bajaj product too (As I already have chosen my next partner, she is just....... )

How is your pickup, now?. Any hiccups? or jerks?, except mileage....

Same here bro! Three me too. Wind125, P150 and now NS. Got to say something more on this. All these 3 bikes have gone to Authorised service centre for Free services ONLY. That is basically washing, setting all the cable free plays wrong, setting AFR wrong, and greasing/oiling places that will get your pants dirty. Rest of the repair/servicing was by trusted mechanics, and me. Me means changing or setting anything outside the engine. Mechanic for tappet setting, changing worn out clutch plates, oil seals etc. Trust me, I have had only minor problems (well, can't even call them problems!), and then parts replacement due to normal wear and tear with all the 3 bikes. I must say that I'm happy with Bajaj BIKES till now. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe....what do you think?

No other problem.A little hickup is there though, probably needs a fine tuning. But wont touch the carb now.Mileage i am still monitoring.
BTW is it possible for you to share the article where it shows its 35%.Thats a huge number and Bajaj should try to cut it donw.\
BTW bro Your next bike is which one?Is it D200?

Bro you are definately lucky. But recently i think they are facing some quality issues.I recently saw a post where the Avenger 220 cruise had fuel flowing through drain pipe when the fuel knob is even kept off.And thats a new bike.Lots of people on the RS are having some serious issues.Recent Bike sshows big time manufacturing defects and those are some serious issues.Irony is that most of the bikes are having common problem ,but the number of problems are high.Add the incompitent SVC guys to that and what you get is a bike with a terrible Ownership Experience!!!

Guys... How would you pit the Mojo and the baby Benelli for the following parameters against the NS on the following parameters -

                    1. Performance in terms of pickup and top speed
                    2. Performance in terms of user reported mileage
                    3. Power to weight ratio impact despite a torquey engine
                    4. Maintenance costs and known issues
                    5. Spare parts cost impact
                    6. Most importantly, ride comfort for the rider and pillion...

Im sorry I know they are quite a few questions however asking since I am done with Bajaj. I was seriously contemplating moving on the bigger CS400 but definitely not after seeing the nonchalant attitude of the company.

Even though I know the R3 is the best twin one can buy in the market its already ruled out due to budget constraints. KTM, Kawasaki also ruled out since they are Bajaj offerings.

Xplod566 gave a pretty detailed description on the Mojo however wondering how does it fair against the NS. I am perfectly fine with a not so wild power release as the NS. Hence, linear power draw is something I can totally live with.

I'll choose benelli over mojo any time i love naked bikes and TNT250 and TNT300 are way ahead of mojo in terms of style quality premiumness and roaring exhaustnotes [emoji7] [emoji7] [emoji7]
But maintenance and service cost will be high on benelli almost double and triple of bajaj [emoji40]

Mojo is a nice motorcycle from a touring perspective only. It has a big fat mid-range which will keep you happy on highways and the motor is refined too. It has a low seat height. In cornering the connecting rod which connects with the silencer scrapes so you can't manage good lean angles. Mahindra is considering to add ABS to it so I would suggest wait for it. Its spare will not be as cheap as Bajaj(both quality and price wise) but not as pricy as Kawasaki or Benelli.
Now the TNT 25:- Its nice motorcycle, its comfortable and the only single cylinder Benelli available here in India. It has some vibes and the engine isn't as refined as the TNT 300 but it sounds good. There is not a huge performance difference between the NS and the TNT 25 and the acceleration figures are also very close to that of NS. But the spares of Benelli are on the pricier side and when compared to hamara Bajaj they are like 2-3 times more costly.

I just came back from my local service center. They told me that they need to take out the top cylinder and sort of top overhaul and send it to the machinist. It is probably going to take a few days as the machinist may not be available at the moment. Will update you guys once again after I've got my bike back.

                              Set rpm to 2500.

                              1. If rpm goes DOWN when you (half) turn the mixture screw both clockwise and anticlockwise from the original position, the original setting is optimum.
                              2. If rpm goes UP when you half-turn to one side, stop, bring down rpm to 2500. Again half turn. Again bring down rpm to 2500. Continue until you reach a point when half turn makes no difference, or rpm drops.
