Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Now why do you want to change the carb? A carb with incorrect settings gives poor mileage. Now settings does not mean screwing the pilot jet screw. There are many settings to be checked, and adjusted if necessary. Well, if there's no one there who knows how to set a carb, pray for the best and replace.Originally posted by GauravD View PostLast edited by krixna; 02-08-2016, 03:20 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
+ some torture + repeated visits requiredOriginally posted by GauravD View PostGuys 2 questions -
1. How much does a carb for the NS cost ? and what is the warranty of the stock carb ?
2. If I change service centres is there any documentation which needs to be completed ? I am thinking of switching to either Kirti Nagar or Karol Bagh since I have heard good stuff from members on here about those centres
3. @xplod566 - How did you manage to have the carb changed under warranty ? Was the fact that just mileage issues enough for them to change ?
Need guidance guys
But his model is quite new (at least considering the launch date). But NS is old, I wonder if you still have a warranty cover.
For your change of service point, this is a headache. I changed from 1st to 2nd with a new SVC. Some documents and the service receipts need to be transferred from them. my SVC (current one) agreed as I already had serviced my Disco there few times...which was out of warranty
Plus the new SVC must accept such cases....I don't think they will accept easily. You can give a try

I think rather than ranting and wasting time and energy, if the carb is to cost 3.3K, better replace it...Originally posted by krixna View PostNow why do you want to change the carb? The only other best alternative is find a new service point.... which in my opinion is tough (at least switching between two)

Well, I don't get time to look at the bike these days. For office rides in city, I couldn't notice much as speeds of 60/80/95 seems not bad. But when ridden on open roads (nowadays rarely) and beyond 6-7k rpm in gear 6 (100-110) for long time, say 30 minutes and beyond, I'm getting a good massage esp from the seat toward the tank side. Now I have to forget about hours on saddle...But surprisingly not much vibes on handle bar or footpeg. Even seats appear seated well, but the vibes mildly progress and make a numbness which is BAD for our physical body.Originally posted by kr7777 View PostThat is the same way I feel the vibrations.
Went on Innova over ~600 km ride (Passenger) few days back at mostly 110-120 kph constantly and my oh.....my... it felt like flying on roads..Even after 6 hours I felt NOTHING. Something looked small screamed and overtook pretty fast and guess what??, it was a blue-black NS and I quickly checked my speedo and it was already at 115, guess the guy was riding at top speed. Because in a matter of a minute, he disappeared from the front view on a straight road...... Is that even possible
. The guy looked so thin and must be weighing about 60kg it seemed....with just helmet, t-shirt and shorts....but the speed of his bike must have been close to 135.... Poor guy
Back to Innova, now will I ever get it on any road bike?, I wish I have a bike that rides like that
I don't have any plans for this vibes except the seat gel(which at least takes least time), but other guy @Narayanan already pointed out that it didn't help at all in supressing vibes.... so have to live with this for now...
@GauravD, thanks bro... Point is, I don't have any tools other than what Bajaj gave with the bike.... So now I have to start from beginning.... Will try it out one day...and will follow up with youLast edited by jbm_guy; 02-08-2016, 04:34 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
So finally managed to fix a double sided gear shifter.. This should help avoiding stress to my greater toe which is the affected area.

How's the feedback...?Originally posted by bikerahul View PostSo finally managed to fix a double sided gear shifter.. This should help avoiding stress to my greater toe which is the affected area.
I feel the heel has to be raised?? Or at least it looks so. Which bikes one this is?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
This is an alteration job. My Mech took an old pedal of CBZ's and we had to cut rear part of it and weld it to NS's single pedal. Yes it had to be raised significantly and it took us >2 hours and 3-4 test rides to make sure its perfect. Once it was done, I got the rear pedal coloured with Silver air spray. Luckily it was available with the mech.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostHow's the feedback...?

And the result is Butter Smooth. The inverted gear shift feels hard and sporty. But this mod really brings out the smoothness in NS's gear shift which you dont realise otherwise. I can now ride without putting any strain to my left foot. Here's how it looks without the colour.
Next mod in my list is Adjustable Clutch Brake Levers. Anyone knows any good shop in Mumbai where I can get that done?Pace your Ride the way to you want to Pace your Life. Both can be dangerous if taken too fast - all the time...!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro, since you said the vibes appear to be at the back end of the engine, I suggest you check out the bushes and dampers (and bolt) which fix the silencer to the frame (right under your bottom!). Also check out the front and rear mountings of the engine. Loosen all the bolts and torque them again to the specs. In the front, also loosen the bolts of 'engine stay' on both sides from the main frame and re-torque them. This may or may not reduce vibes, no harm in trying though.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostWhat exactly is your source of vibration and the point where it reaches.... For example, mine starts from rear side of engine and reaches my underneath of the seat. Seat helps damping a bit will. But the tank doesn't.
We need a better damping mechanism. For me riding above 100-110 kph constantly for long times get a sore butt or numbness at groin and back..... This is no doubt because of the poor damping... Even the seat gel doesn't help any better at all it seems....
I have tried with Motul and Bajaj oil. Both didn't help at such speeds...
Even my Activa does 90kph very nicely (i mean no vibration) except for the loud engine sound and time it takes to reach..... I often wonder what if the ns engine was put inside my scooter [emoji6]
Edit: I get vibes too, but after 8K rpm. And not your sore butt kind of vibes. I don't ride in that rpm range too, since mine hits 105@7000 (I changed the rear sprocket to P220's
) I usually ride in the 80-90 range, where the engine is smooth around 6K rpm.

Glad to see that the hard work paid off brother. Whats even better ... Another rider set to get back onto the saddle.Originally posted by bikerahul View PostThis is an alteration job. Bro like you had said... Rest well before you get back giving your toe time to heal up, although I am sure you already are.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Got a call from the service center finally, after my complaint on the Bajaj website.
Provided me with VIN related information. Dec 2014 sounds good to me considering I bought the bike in Feb 2015.
Fyi guys - the carb has a warranty of 2 years or 30k kms whichever is earlier.
Told the guy my problem about mileage. Said to get the bike to the svc center and they would get it checked and cleaned and the diapharm replaced. If the float seat is defective would have the carb replaced.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro, unfortunately, you wont be able to lay your hands on the NS anymore. Atleast not till the time Bajaj relaunches the NS with/without FI. If reports are to be believed Bajaj may launch the NS with FI. So till then the 220 is your best bet if you have made up your mind on Bajaj.Originally posted by Sharma Ji View PostBrothers which one is better
Pulsar 200 ns or pulsar 220f
And what is the run in period of pulsar 200 ns
Although I wasnt able to understand the logic of comparing the two bikes since they belong to different segments altogether.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Heard news last year end that it would be early 2016, that's all. That would mean by March, I think. FI and maybe EGR also can be added (EGR is present already in export models to pass stricter emission standards).Originally posted by Sharma Ji View PostIs there any expected date pf launch
