But OEMs first decide nature of bike , commuter , tourer or amateur track riding then tune the suspension for it.

Agreed. Generalising suspension type for a specific objective is incorrect.Originally posted by vivek7593 View Post

I think a correctly tuned suspension of Honda Unicorn does the job well.Originally posted by RohIIT View PostAgreed. Generalising suspension type for a specific objective is incorrect.

Would beg to differ on that bhai. No matter where you take the rotating cog of the NS suspension, ride quality does not get affected by much. My NS is set to the softest and no significant change in the ride quality.Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostOn ns adjust monoshock to softer side you'll notice the difference but you'll lose out on stability at high speeds and in corners it'll be bouncy ..

The only option IMO remains swapping the suspension however we have to figure out as to which swap would work well.

Tried all positions of the suspension. There is no much change.

Take a look at the rear tyre. If it's Eurogrip (ok, Euroslip!), it says 265kg max. at 230kPa (~33psi).Originally posted by GauravD View PostWould beg to differ on that bhai. Weight of the bike on rear tyre is, say, 75 kg. That leaves ( 265-75= )190 kg load to be loaded maximum at 33psi. Maths says at 32 psi you can load around 180kg. Now if you fill 32psi, and you ride single and you are 70 kg, will the tyre flex? Nope. It will be like wood...a bullock cart wheel.
For more than a year now, I have been running front 22 and rear 26 psi. Better ride comfort, more grip. Tyre has not shown any unusual wear.
Tyre plays a vital part in the ride comfort. If it is flexible, it absorbs part of the road shock and transmits the rest to the spring. If it is hard, it transfers all of it to the spring.
Edit: the maths of kg/pressure is not valid below 75% of max. rated value. Can possibly damage sidewalls.Last edited by krixna; 02-17-2016, 11:27 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
No, preload is to make sure the suspension works at its optimum travel all the time. If you are heavy, there should be less preload - meaning it has space to travel, and more preload for lighter riders - less weight, less suspension travel - before the spring is actually "engaged". Well get your suspension checked.. Making it soft made my bike smooth over bad roads but not as smooth as splendour.. Still it was managable donno what could be wrong in your case..Originally posted by GauravD View PostWould beg to differ on that bhai. Bhai it has caused some impact on the ergonomics no doubt but not to an extent that i would term comfortable...Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostWell get your suspension checked.. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I was also having a similar problem with the engine head. The rubber ring seal which seals the engine oil to leak out of the engine is worn. Its not a big problems just show it to the SVC guy they will sort it out.Originally posted by ackinbiker View Posthey, guys i have find out some leaks in my bike engine, don't know the reason. i have kept my bike standing for 2 days at same spot, no visible oil leak in ground.

1. Replace head cover gasket. Clean both the surfaces before fitting.Originally posted by ackinbiker View Posthey, guys i have find out some leaks in my bike engine, don't know the reason. i have kept my bike standing for 2 days at same spot, no visible oil leak in ground.

2. It seems like engine oil drain bolt is leaking , remove the bolt , collect engine oil in a very clean container. Use new drain bolt, fit i back, pour oil back.
