Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
After two days and a fever, the major parts of the bike have been fully removed and re-assembled with an aim to make it as smooth as possible. Materials used for damping were old unusable car tyre tube, fevi quick, superglue and double sided tape. These were the works done at home:
1. Complete dissemble of the tank, including the coolant hoses to the right and the fuel knob on the left. What I observed was that there are too many unwanted parts inside. The design could have been much more simpler. Without the two metal supports inside the tank, the plastic is so flimsy that if it is exposed to a very strong wind it will crack. There's absolutely no denying the bad quality of plastics. After applying damping, gaps increased between parts.
2. Complete dissemble of the headlamp assembly. The electricals are pretty straightforward to detach and reconnect later. Once again, too many plastic parts of bad quality. But here if the plastics were used in lesser amounts, the headlamp assembly wouldn't have the intricate detail that it does now. In my opinion the NS headlamp is exceptionally good looking.
3. Complete dissemble of the rear seat cowl. This was the easiest to work with due to less number of parts.
4. Air filter cleaning.
5. Clutch and throttle cable replacement.
6. New LH crash guard.
7. Chain cleaning and tightening.
So what was the gain out of all the hard work over two days? After I rode it I was like 'oh man f***ing perfect bike!' The silly plastic sounds are gone. The handlebar still has lovely sporty vibrations (it's kinda by personal favorite of the character of this bike) and after cleaning the clogged air filter the bike began to soar better than before.
These are the works still pending:
1. Coneset tightening.
2. Fork oil change.
3. Four holders for the headlight, to place it at a lower position than what it is now, to give the bike a sportier look. Will post pics of the new look by tomorrow evening.
Those who feel their bike's console noises are sh*t or get irritated out of it, try the above methods, i.e full dissemble of the respective part and using pieces of old rubber tubes between bolts.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
As I've heard, only two tvs svc has the stock right now, one is in patparganj industrial area, near vaishali metro station, another was in central Delhi. If you want, I may accompany you, costs 385₹ per big bottle.Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostHey, can anyone tell me where can I find TVS chain lube.

And guys, back after a break, hope everyone is alright with their ns. Mine needs few screw adjustments, but everything else going strong. Sadly, my running has decreased to 5kms per week by now
And it will remain like this foe next two years, mostly bike stands under a cover, fun days vanished so early for me.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
If you are talking about engine kill switch, its not necessary on every stop. But if you have to stop for more than a minute then you may choose to switch it off. It will prevent the engine from overheating and would save some fuel as well.Originally posted by shek15 View PostAnybody?? A little help here?

False neutrals have nothing to do with the kill switch or fuel knob. Its not mandatory to keep the knob at off everytime you stop. It's there just to prevent loss of petrol IN CASE your carb or engine leaks petrol fumes over time.Originally posted by shek15 View PostAnybody?? A little help here?
Your false neutral problem has something to do with either your clutch free play or some parts inside the gearbox. Dont worry ive had false neutrals since the day ive had the bike and ive just changed the way i shift i.e i put more force to shift. It becomes l spontaneous once you get the habit.
200NS is not a perfect bike. Keep that in mind. But when it comes to bang for the buck, nothing comes close.

Ducks only have two webbed feet, then again maybe legs of 200 ducks could support the rear...Originally posted by Akash_Kiran _ Balram View PostAny suggestions for good tyres? The stock ones keep slipping on tight corners....
Any idea whether ducks 200 rear tyres fit? Or will the profile change?

Wow Nice bro. I wish I also had enough brains and courage to do stuff like this myself..Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostAfter two days and a fever, the major parts of the bike have been fully removed and re-assem....

Just curious, are you confident enough to open up and service the brake calipers yourself ?

I agree, nothing is perfect. Thanks for replying, As i found the gear shift smooth i'm shifting in a very light manner! So from next time I'll do hard shifts. And my idle RPM is 1.4 and bike struggles a bit to go above 5k RPM, It feels like a rev limiter at 5k(It goes to 7k and comes back 5). Your help would be appreciated!Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostFalse neutrals have nothing to do with the kill switch or fuel knob. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
My bike has run 110kms. No use dude, How much ever I rev it feels like bike is running out of breath(After 5k). I suspect the carb is tuned to rich.Originally posted by razr View PostHow much has your bike run??
