Bhai il speak for myself.. My NS doesnt have a washroom attached to cannot downshit there bro

On a more serious note, personally I ride a trifle sanely but acceleration is always linear even when I treat an empty highway as a runway. So i upshift from 1st at about 2-2.5 k rpm and the rest follows.

Honestly, do not compare shifting patterns of bikes bro coz FZ and NS are on no way similar to each other. In the beginning you will have a few jerks but in a couple of hours top most you will get the hang of it.

I'm in Cochin and here they take only Dukes. NS is serviceable only at Bajaj here.

Hey guys. I have woken up from the slumber. Its good to back to XBHP.
I recently moved to Pune from Hyderabad and have been searching for bikes since December. Wasn't keen on investing huge chunk on a big bad boy so consoled myself to check ~200cc segment. Got to know about a 200NS, Black, 2013 model that has done about 21K kms. Asking price is 59K?

Is it worth it? I got the service centre details and the number so will do a background check of the history of the bike. Anything in particular I should focus on while seeing the bike and test riding it?
Regards,
Akash Yadav

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

Rode my ns after a 5 days of thumping action on delhi now my ns feels buttery smooth thanks to RE's vibrations 😁😘
But I'm missing torque and thumps of RE 😪😪

1. How much does a carb for the NS cost ? and what is the warranty of the stock carb ? - Costs 3228+Installation charge.I think its 30000 Kms(Just like the engine)
2. If I change service centres is there any documentation which needs to be completed ? I am thinking of switching to either Kirti Nagar or Karol Bagh since I have heard good stuff from members on here about those centres - Nothing required. Its your wish as to which SVC you can go to.Just make sure its an authorised Bajaj SVC.The best way to know if its an Authentic SVC is that they will be dumb and giving goli like every other A-SVC!
3.
@xplod566 - How did you manage to have the carb changed under warranty ? Was the fact that just mileage issues enough for them to change ? -
Need guidance guys
Well for me i just got pissed off.I visisted SVC thrice in the span of 1 month and even though explaining them multiple times they never believed me and told the same BS everytime that its in my head.I have literally given them numbers and still they overlooked it.Remember i told before,i never had mileage issues.Sometimes it used to give me 43 on highwyas and 37 on Bangalore B2B traffic. But if i park it for a long time then i can see that i cover atleast 10 Kms less every 9 hours parket-Meaning the Fuel is evaporating from Carb(A common probs with carb). One day i had to push the bike as the fuel evaporation was too much and then i noticed no Fuel.I was like WHAT! NOW I HAVE TO PUSH IT!!!!I just filled Fuel for 200 bucks and went hardly 70Kms.That day i ,lost my nerves and complained to Bajaj.I explained him everything and they listened and told me my complainw as genuine as by my Bike Reg no they found it i did went there 3 times in the sapn of 1 month.I was polite but i hold my point of it getting fixed as for SVC.
I didnt know how to fix until RohIIT and Divya Sharan helped me on understanding the cause of the issue as our Primes suspect was the Float Valve!

They kept it for observation for 3 days and then tells me they still couldnt find any issue.I was like"DUUUUDDDDEEEEEEE I WANT TO SMOKE WHAT YOU ARE SMOKING!"Finally i told the SVC Head guy if he cant find a problem that doesnt mean it isnt there. Its just that they are not capable enough to find the issue.I think this statement kind of hurted them and next day they say they have replaced the carb. They did it infront of me and damn after replacing i actually understood how messed up the old carb was.It lacked pickup, irratic ideling.....all these were not there on the new carb.Later the job was closed saying it resolved.I cant ask for more as they actually replaced it after multiple request.

I havent been able to confirm yet as i generally put 200 bucks of fuel and then from Reserve to Reserve i check the mileage.Twice i got around 114.3 Kms and 115.1 Kms.Thats some good numbers considering riding in B2B bangalore traffic.Thats how i did it.I would say log a complain to bajaj @18002332453 and tell them about the problem and also tell them what you suspect could be the issue with the bike(For me i told i suspect carb). If you complain to Bajaj they rasie a ticket and give it to you(And you get a text also). The ticket remains open until the issue is solved and its upto the customer when he decides to close the ticket. The longer the ticket is open the more it hurts the ASC.Once you log a complain you will get a call from the Head Office.Hope it helps.

Good to hear that you got your problem resolved! Few days back I also gave my bike at the service centre they kept it for 3 days and after 3 days when I went there they were like 'sir carb has a problem' I asked him what's the problem? He said I don't know but I replaced your bike's carb with another NS's carb and then we came to know'. Now I am also thinking of replacing the carb. I hope you got your carb replaced under warranty?

Hey buddy.. hangin in there for now I would say... Thanks much for all the info bro. I did log in a complaint with the website and the cust care however it seems that the people at the Bajaj office are way too busy with raking up profit and increasing marketshare that they do not have the time to go ahead and attend to complaints coming in from the series which has actually redefined the market for the company.

I got a call two days later from the service center. beat that ! No response yet to the email of the pune office which as per customer service was [email protected]. How ridiculous can it get. Just because of this nonchalant attitude of the company I am seriously thinking of switching to maybe a Honda or Yamaha. Do not know how good or how bad they are with customer handling and service quality.

Any idea when did Bajaj switch from TVS to MRF as factory fitment ? an approximate would do just fine.

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Hi Gaurav. Well even I am thinking the same from switching to Bajaj. The quality seems very poor and I don't know which one to take.my bike has some sort of problem always and ikind of fedip with it. Duke200 is there but then Again it's bajaj who manufactures. I want a trouble free experience.
They still sell with tvs but some bikes come with mrf.

Do you still have the problems after the carb change? And regarding the quality, yeah its a major let down from Bajaj. Due to these issues a very capable motorcycle is avoided or ruled out by many people. Basically Bajaj only focuses on the number of motorcycles sold per month and their market share.
