However, all the 4 bolts would not tighten as per specs which is 14Nm. The maximum torque i could tightened is by turning the screw in by hand like a screwdriver. I took out the 4 screws and found some metal pieces stucked on the bolts. Suspect that the thread is gone. Is there any way to get the thread fix or tighten the cylinder head?
Thanks in advance!
You need to rethread the slots in cylinder head. If the grove of the bolts are damaged, you need to place the bolts as well.

Bajaj has to seriously think and do something about refinement and upgrading quality since they are coming up with bigger cc engines and bikes.
The 'Its Bajaj. These issues are common with Bajaj bikes.' has to go.

But I have just completed 12k km isn't that too early for auto_tensioner and the chain to be damaged.

Well said bro and bang on.. Bajaj no doubt today has a sizeable marketshare. However, it wont take long changing if Bajaj do not get their act together.

Its just like buying any second hand vehicle. Since, NS was launched in 2012, nobody really knows if it would last a long time. However, if well maintained, it would return years of service.

Bajaj bikes are not as good as a Jap bikes...ns is somewhat better than old gen. But still if you maintain well, learn some basics, and buy it with proper testing.... It shouldn't be much of trouble. I mean end up buying factory defective machines or from a seller who has thrashed the bike with poor maintenance is going to get you more hatred towards Bajaj....

Go back few pages and you can find mine as well as some others who had given some PDI for buying used ns...

What exactly is your source of vibration and the point where it reaches.... For example, mine starts from rear side of engine and reaches my underneath of the seat. Seat helps damping a bit will. But the tank doesn't.

We need a better damping mechanism. For me riding above 100-110 kph constantly for long times get a sore butt or numbness at groin and back..... This is no doubt because of the poor damping... Even the seat gel doesn't help any better at all it seems....

I have tried with Motul and Bajaj oil. Both didn't help at such speeds...

Even my Activa does 90kph very nicely (i mean no vibration) except for the loud engine sound and time it takes to reach..... I often wonder what if the ns engine was put inside my scooter [emoji6]

Lucky you get a @$$ massage each time you get onto the saddle

On a serious note, I used to face the same issues of the vibes getting passed onto the seat. Try damping up the seat contact points better - some washers and double sided tape should do the trick for you. The front of the seat, if you see carefully, is in contact with the loose end of the tank fairing which is good enough for the vibe to get passed onto the seat. Same is the case with the seat along the side panels. Atleast it was so in my case. Got a rubber lining plus double sided tape set up there and it did work, atleast for me.

That is the same way I feel the vibrations.

Guys 2 questions -

1. How much does a carb for the NS cost ? and what is the warranty of the stock carb ?
2. If I change service centres is there any documentation which needs to be completed ? I am thinking of switching to either Kirti Nagar or Karol Bagh since I have heard good stuff from members on here about those centres
3. xplod566 - How did you manage to have the carb changed under warranty ? Was the fact that just mileage issues enough for them to change ?

Need guidance guys
