adjusted the clutch & now the downshifts have gotten smoother now.

Btw, isn't 3.60 secs the actual claimed 0-60 acceleration of 200NS ? I noticed it's now updated to 3.1 seconds on the Bajaj website..

my NS also seems to hit 0-60 in just over 3 seconds

@adithya: Can you tell me where can I get Motul 7100 20W50 oil. I am unable to get it at service centres. I found one old bottle at Chamaraja double road but it had a small issue.
On my used bottle I see BA2 written, the one in the shop has BA. Does it make any diff? Also the price now is INR 895. Can I get it cheaper anywhere?
I am now riding in 50s due to the smell,Please help.
Please dont ride the bike with low oil!
What is the quantity of oil you used
Replace oil filter and oil asap!
Using oil for so long during run in:banghead:

Bhai, mine takes 3 sec to hit 60, and AFAIK, they claimed 3 initially, never measured the 0-100 time in precise though, scares the hell out of me (not anymore now, sadly I rode a z1000 And after that 90% love for my ns has died )

Ya, been reading the same all over. Its a characteristic of FS oil, it seems.

I know that the spark plugs need to be changed. And the NGKs sound like exactly what i need.. But im strapped for cash now (im still in college- but currently training-which is why im in this hellhole) so whatever pay im getting is going into my riding jacket fund.. And i don't have any time until weekends.. But thanks for the suggestion. Ill try to get those anyway.

And, no, im not a part of naked wolves.. I've met a couple of them once, though. I didn't use to stay much in Bangalore till a few months back. (family shifted here only two years ago). So don't know anyone other than from my college here..

It would do you good to become a member on facebook if you aren't. They're definitely way more knowledgeable than some service mechanics and some service center owners in blore are in the group as well, just to guide those with issues of sorts. Let me know if you're interested. Its a good thing that you're investing in riding gear.

Its not because of low engine oil. And the correct way to check engine oil level would be to place the bike on center stand or paddock stand when cold and then check the oil window. Anyway its time for an oil change for you, now that you've mentioned the kms. I'd recommend an oil shop (dont know the name) on kalidasa road, diagonally opposite to green leaf hotel. The oil shop is located next to a sports shop named ace sports. They normally stock the latest stuff. Try google maps to find hotel green leaf in case you dont know.

But in case oil level is low its very dangerous to ride it like that. I agree with Divyanshp150. You risk excess wear out. Just in case, make a check of all the spark plugs to see if there are any tell tales of oil consumption in the combustion chamber.

For the upcoming weather conditions, 15w50 grade will do.

actually i used to goto double road for oils. On one fine day not a single shop had what i wanted and that's when i tried the one at kd road and got what i wanted. You mean the one next to ace sports itself right? Or is there another one that im not aware of?

Yeah, that one.. There are no other oil shops in the area. They only stock stuff that sell though. But they do have newer stock sometimes. But they sell at MRP, while in double road you can easily bargain.

I went through the thread, found a lot of suggestion but would prefer some long time reviews, i am looking for good braking, good dry & wet grip.

Was hitting 140s when I had to take a very long corner on the ring road. Sat upright and began to countersteer and BAM! Tankslapper! Got it under control but it was the scariest sh*t I've ever felt.

You talking about Delhi ring road. .?
Please be advised, never to go more than 80-85ish speeds while entering, 60-70 when you enter it and just when the ring is about to end, the curve will be extremely sharp, anything above 55-60 and you might be in newspaper if not lucky, also gravels, slit and small pebbles are always there to make your knee down experience, the last one.
Treat time..!!

Not a wise thing to do on any ring road in India (Rather any road).
