Price Sir it is useful . My friend fitted my mud guard . He has the single tone NS. And the blue black 200 ns pic above is mine.
Sir one more thing the aingle tone NS mud guard has PULSAR written in the center. While the new ones do not have any.

Depends on stock condition at your svc brother.. you show them the pics of new mudguard they will understand :-)
At my svc they mostly dont have parts and they have to order.. costs 250.. didn't pay anything in advance..

If wee dont put mudguarg in rainy season it will be more helpful i think in theory as water will be sprinkled on back

Thanks Saurav, may be that's the way we can identify before buying it.

Its the most suitable one available which is ready to fit and better than the older ones. Considering rainy days ahead, a good bet to get it.

Defective spark plugs were running in my bike for 2500 kms. Also the plugs had a smaller diameter than required so compression loss was occuring through the plug holes :banghead: Symptoms: slightly low fuel efficiency, varying idle, not-so-good throttle response, chik chik chik shorting noise, loads of oil smell after any kind of riding, struggling to touch 135 kmh and oil deposit only on defective plugs.

Switched to iridium cr8eix meant for pulsar 220. But both 220 and 200ns come with prg6hcc champion plugs as stock so the iridium heat range should suit the bike.
Changes observed: better throttle response and idle stability, much lesser oil smell, silent engine (since it wasnt shorting), very slight deeper engine note and most importantly due to efficient combustion am now able to touch 145 on a road i used to do 135 in. Fuel efficiency and oil deposits if any, yet to be checked.

Hey Aditya, am from mysore too. Can u tell me a good place to get the NS serviced. I presently get it at Popular BajaJ Chamarajpura(opp. to court).
My bike had to be serviced thrice in just 3500 kms for smooth running. The condition was horrible after a Munnar bike trip. I hit 100 on empty roads to office for st 5-10 mins nothing much and I get econom of 30-32 kmpl.

Guys, also my Motul 7100 is almost used up, which I got at 1st service around 600kms(now odo ~4000kms). Is it natural, I've heard ppl saying it lasts 5-6k kms.

regarding mods and upgrades; I am scared due to your experience and won't fiddle much, and I am pretty new to mysore and don't even know any capable mechanic/engr. to do them. Also can anyone tell me if PSD tyres are available in Mysore?

that's all for now, hope a quick reply!!

What can i say, ive had worst experiences with both Star bajaj, vv mohalla and Popular bajaj - ktm. I've heard that Popular Bajaj kuvempunagar is okayish but because of the size of the service center and the no. of bikes they work on, they take more than two days for a full service. I've had no experience with Prakash bajaj 100 ft road but their spares are not trustworthy ive heard.

I do my own service at home. I've learnt most of the regular maintenance service that needs to be done over the last 27000 kms of ownership. I've had enough of cooling issues, spark plug issues, tuning & fueling issues etc from these people! For major stuff (like impending clutch plate assembly replacement and the likes) i'll take it to bangalore.

Motul 7100 should last 5-6k easily. Im running on 4k old 7100 and it looks pretty fine! Bike runs pretty smooth.

Regarding modifications, please dont get anything done in mysore. They aren't exactly reliable. Bangalore is good. And before getting it modded keep this fact in mind. Mods are not a piece of cake like stock. You'll have to do some homework on the internet / speak to experts and gain some knowledge as to what is best for the bike and decide upon the compromises you're willing to take. You also need to accept the fact that nothing is as reliable as stock and you WILL run into more maintenance work than before. If not done correctly your troubles will be never-ending.

PSD is not available in Mysore. I'd recommend michelin pilot street radial 130/70-17 rear tyre and michelin pilot sporty 100/80-17 front. It's the best alternative to pirelli, suits the bike's performance, costs less and lasts longer than pirelli. Grip-wise pirelli is anyday better but you'd rather not burn a bigger hole in your pocket if you dont take the bike out for tight corner carving every weekend. Michelins are fine!

Man what kind of damage is done to the transmission system by a false gear shift ? U know that grinding noise that comes for a second due to a mis shift, when the gear doesn't slot in properly, usually caused by bad Clutch setting (mine). I had one today after a long time. & been having those khat khat gear shifts,
My clutch setting is so bad, should I adjust the Clutch myself ? I'm too lazy to try. Adjust from lever side or engine side ? which is better.
