I'm getting my little girl today, showroom will deliver the bike at 17:30. I'm so excited. Yesterday I had a test drive and according to it, the power is awesome.

              Seems good to hear..

So here is the big news..

Yesterday evening I removed the muffler connected to exhaust through a clamp after Cat C. I had connected a 1.5 inch stainless steel L shape pipe.

And trust me friends the pull us awesome. It hardly took me 5 - 6 sec to touch 90 KMPH. And sound.. damm its like a liter bike when throttle is rev upto half or more.

In short i am happy after doing this change..

Total Cost: Stainless Steel L Shape Pipe: Rs.200/- and labor Rs.16 only. yes he asked for Rs.20 for removing muffler and fitting the SS Pipe. I was having only Rs.16 change and he was not having any change so total cost Rs.216/- only.

Do you think that the muffer is just for show and only to minimize the noise ?

Its a lot more than that and you can't simply fit a steel pipe in its place.
Better read some more info and increase your knowledge regarding the same and only then go for anything like this.
                Rest is upto you.

                Ride safe and have fun.

Valve works in the showroom as I'm confused now
The white dot is towards down. Please let me know neutral and fuel mode directions.

To check the fuel efficiency, today I rode the bike as if I'm doing a run-in of my engine, keeping RPMs under 4k. and speed below 50-60 Kph mostly. That way the bike managed to go about 52 Kms in 1.25 ltrs of petrol. till it hit reserve... translates to 42 Km/l something.. good enough eh.. Riding in Delhi during evening time and not gunning the throttle to zip through the traffic like a rocket.. instead watching other bikes go past you as you maintain speed under 60 kph to improve your FE numbers. This was a unique experience lol ! It was extremely difficult to resist going fast.

Yes,it's really hard to resist, especially when your bike has the capabilities, to zoom past every oder zmr fzs and what not(i once tried it with an r1,and dun ask how he embarrassed me).
But lately as the odo reading is rising, i am coming more and more in my senses, because the bike will go fast no doubt, but when it comes to near sudden braking at high speeds, the tires and the lack of abs disappoints.
I found that safe speed in traffic is not more than 45-50 kmph. Because anything more than that, and the bike wont respond well to panic braking situation.
Better be safe than sorry, eh?

Well, its his money and his bike. He or anyone else can do whatever they want.
I told him what I know is bad bad for the bike. Now upto him to decide. We here can only advice or inform the member, we can't force him to do something or not to do.

About the liter bike, on an empty road a Liter bike will embarass anything. Though I once had this CBR1000RR moving along with me in Delhi medium traffic conditions. The rider would open the throttle at times and go like a rocket when he saw empty space and I kept doing the same. Surprisingly I was able to catch upto him so quickly that I felt really proud of my NS that day lol ! And then I zipped through the traffic without mercy as my bike could maneuver through spaces more easily than his liter class beast. Anyone riding a superbike here obviously can't tame it well enough, it's too much power for Indian roads.
