Man o man !! You really don't know what's the use of brake oil and you own a 200cc bike.. This is something..

Not being rude, but please try to read some books and increase your knowledge regarding this. We can offer our help to the people who know something in the first place, but we can't make you understand through forums when you don't know these simple things.
A request to you mate, google these things and try to learn about them

disc brake are hydraulic brakes and work on the principle of fluid pressure. This fluid is used for that.

My bike is making a wired sound while riding. It sounds like "khas - khas" as if something is rubbing. It seems to come somewhere from the front or middle of the bike. The sound is low and wont be heard at city traffic. But its always there. The SVCs have no clue and they are at denial. I have cleaned, lubed and adjusted the slacking of the chain. It started after my last service. Any clue what it might be?

NSians.. I am facing a issues with my love 200 NS. Whenever I touck or cross a speed of 85 KMPH, a sound something like dug dug start coming somewhere front, I dont know from where. As I increase speed and cross 90 KMPH the frequency of dug dug increases. This is only happening when I am crossing 84 - 85 KMPH.

I am done with 22000 kms on ODO.

Any one else who had faced such issue and your kind suggetions please what it can be of..??

Visit a service center and ask for a roller bench test. Touch your desired speed and the mechanic will point out the issue for you. Well that's how they do it in my city and in Bangalore.

Thanks aditya.. Going to do that too. But I had observed sound coming from front part. And on roller bench test only engine and rear will be running. Still I will go for that too and will ask ASC mechanic to drive himself and check. This is what I had decided as of now.

Could you post some more detailed pictures? I need to get it done urgently as I miss the footrest while riding as pillion. I guess there was some welding involved too.

I do not think FFE on the 200NS is a good idea, even an Akra on a 200 Duke claims only .43 Bhp (Not sure if it's the exact figure but it should be close) of power gain. So these locally made dalda can exhausts are just snake oil. They will not be able to provide proper back pressure and will only pollute the environment more. The reason track guys use FFE is weight saving and altering the powerband to their preference.

Well, this morning a couple of hours ago, I was brushing my hair and browsing the Facebook thing, came upon this and I think it is relevant to this discussion.

These are fake Akra and will ruin your engine for good. Never ever try these unless you want a big hole in your pocket. (I'll take the picture down tomorrow not to give the seller any more sells through here)

About Anuj, he may have violated some rules so he got banned I guess. He is young (though older than me) and kind of a rebellious, it seems he took the last ban in a negative manner and I think he holds me responsible for it. Despite all this, he is a nice guy, and a good biking enthusiast, I gotta give him credit for that. Anyway, I prefer to judge a biker by the way he rides, not the way he beats his chicken.

Also, as ur in delhi, do cops pull you over and cut a challan for this loud aftermarket FFE. @Cleaner What is your opinion on the use of FFE in NS ? longerm effects ?

One thing i noticed is the engine is very clearly less strained at rpms above 6k.
If you are in ffe for sound than i doubt its value for money, but apart from that, as I said if you have a k&n i doubt that it has any bad effect on your engine, as some people here thinks.
I am not in delhi, I am in bhopal.
No cop problems. I am using the supplied db killer.

I need to lower the seat height of 200NS, with the stock 130/70 tire the height of the tire is 130X70/100=91 mm and saddle height is 807 mm, so with 140/60 one the tire height would be 140X60/100=84 mm and saddle height would be 807-(91-84)=800 mm and with 130/60 tire, the tire height would be 130X60/100=78 mm and saddle height would be 807-(91-78)=794 mm

The problem is I can not find either 140/60 tire or 130/60 tire, could anybody suggest me a good tire in the aforementioned sizes? I'd prefer a medium compound tire but if that is not feasible I can either opt for soft or hard compound ones too.

EDIT: I understand that the height would decrease if I opt for 120/70 tires but I do not really wanna downsize.

                            If you're happy purchasing online - here's 140/60
Never argue with a fool, for he will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

                              hi guys,

                              Another victim of nylogrip tyres
i was driving at 25km/hr in 3rd gear and an auto comes in front suddenly but i had ample time to brake easily but i just touched the break lever and with in 2 sec i was tasting the dust.
i just dont know what happnd there, i mean i am riding bikes for more thn 12 years now n nothing of that sort happend to me
i think its tyres. Handle bar bent, leg guard bent and few scratches here and there.

got everythng repaired but since then there is breathing problm in my bike. Whenever i cross 6-7 thousand RPM, the bike feels like breathing.
By breathing i mean power goes up and down , bike takes gliches again n again . sumthing like when your fuel gets over. below 6-7k RPM everythng seems fine.
i told Service Centr PPl, they said its air filter problm, they cleaned it up but problm is still there. SO they asked me to come on tuesday, they dont have any idea what could have gone wrong

Can anyone tell me what could be the problm ??

P.S. : Bike half tank full, so no chance of reserve also

                                Hi folks...

I am planning to ride my NS from Pune to Bangalore next weekend. I am gonna take the bike for servicing. Please help me compile a check-list for things to do in the serviceing and other things to be taken care of during 900km ride. This is as much strain in a day as my bike is used to over a full month. My NS is 17.3k km on ODO currently.

I am gonna do these things in servicing:
                                - Oil change
                                - brake pads change
                                - front suspension fork overhaul (its due)
                                - chain clean up ( i will do it on my own as these SVC guys just make it even more dirty)
                                - tightening all screws and nuts.

What else do i need to do?? I am worried about the chain. I hope it wont give up somewhere in middle. And the cooling system, I have had a leakage once. Also If somebody could help me (or direct me somewhere) about the road conditions, placed to take breaks, and all it would be great.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...
