I am planning to ride my NS from Pune to Bangalore next weekend. I am gonna take the bike for servicing. Please help me compile a check-list for things to do in the serviceing and other things to be taken care of during 900km ride. This is as much strain in a day as my bike is used to over a full month. My NS is 17.3k km on ODO currently.

I am gonna do these things in servicing:
    - Oil change
    - brake pads change
    - front suspension fork overhaul (its due)
    - chain clean up ( i will do it on my own as these SVC guys just make it even more dirty)
    - tightening all screws and nuts.

What else do i need to do?? I am worried about the chain. I hope it wont give up somewhere in middle. And the cooling system, I have had a leakage once. Also If somebody could help me (or direct me somewhere) about the road conditions, placed to take breaks, and all it would be great.
    Hi,

Below are some generic guidelines which may help you:
    1. If you are using mineral oil change it in Pune and remember to change oil once you reach Bangalore.
    2. Check the coolant level.
    3. Lube the chain and see whether the chain movement is within recommended level.
    4. Fly Over work is going on between Pune and Satara, hence if you are planning to leave early morning in fog, be extra cautious and check out for diversions.
    5. Fuel pumps are less between Kolhapur and Belgaum. tank up in Kolhapur.
    6. Carry cash as cards do not work always.
    7. Take a break when-ever you feel like. It's always your call and best adjustment. There are enough veg and non-veg hotels along the route.

Ride using your brain and enjoy through heart...
    Have a safe ride..

      Hi...Thanks for your reply...

I am planning to put motul 5100/7100 oil...Mineral oil days are over for my bike long ago.. Will keep some extra oil with me and chain lube spray too.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

The fuel supply at high rpms is the problem i guess.
1.Check the pipe connecting the fuel tank to carb. Its underneath the tank
2.ask svc guys to remove aur filter bix abd carb, clean the carb and check the main jet.

                Hello guy's, I'm a newbie.
                Own a 200ns.
I want to get a chain spray and I've heard that tvs chain spray is VFM product.
But I can't find it in east Delhi
Tried A.k. tvs(near swarna cinema) but they always say that we have sticks for our own, come next week.
It looks like owner has a grudge for pulsar 200ns, one time I saw him giving spray to a rtr chap but a big no to me every time.
So any east Delhi xbhpians, help needed.

                Hello all ;-)

Too costly sir, And not worth the price as I've seen in my friends bike, tVs works on par with motul and that too at 360₹ for half a litre.

Does these chain lubricants degrades over time if kept for a year or more?

not worth the money, specially for street riding.

Currently my slave plugs are NGK and master is still Bosch...
one of my friend has a left over cable with him..
So he gave it to me...

Thought of getting it fixed on the Master plug...

Not looking into gain or something..

Just to make sure its a reliable one compared to stock what we get...
