    Hello Friends

Can anyone please explain what is the use of muffler in the exhaust of NS.

Actually i had thought of to remove the muffler which is connected to the exhaust pipe tighten with a clamp.

So what can be the consequences of removing muffler apart then the massive increase in sound.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The NS is indeed a marvelous pieces of engineering, the CS looks better but that can not be a daily commuter to an average Joe due to FE concern. For me, I'm just waiting or 200NS to get FI and ABS. I bet with FI, Bajaj would milk at least 40 kmpl out of it.

Also, I'm going to rip off the LED turn signals and headlamp out of the CS400 and install them in P200NS.

          Stunning models from Bajaj...Absolutely great....

I hope some new parts fit in to 200NS....I would love to have the engine gaurd and rear number plate holder for starters....

I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

ABS never gonna come to NS... may be FI. even that looks unlikely to happen.. because once NS is equiped with FI, the major distinguishing factor between Duke and NS will be gone.. minus the grippy stock MRF tyres. If Bajaj asked me something like Rs 10,000 to put FI system in my existing bike, I'd probably agree to it in a second. But can we even do it ? Replace a carbureted system with Fuel injected one ?

Anyways, My 2nd paid service done yesterday at 9608 Kms.
Engine Oil used = Motul 5100 (took my own 1350ml oil)

            (Labour charges)
            Service 2W Charge = 250
            CO Adjusted = 15
Shocker Seal Replace = 250 (My front forks had become abit soft and spongy type, there is a great improvement after changing Fork oil)
            Chain Cleaning by CCLM/Spray = 60
Misc Labour = 50 (this is for taking out the small LED bulb which had fallen inside parking lamp glass)

            (Parts Details)
            Fork Oil 160ml - 154
            Screw SS-M5XL14 - 2.54
            Connecting Link - 16
            Oil Seal - 121
            Oil Filter - 65

Total cost including tax and everything - 1112/-

Last service was done 3200 Kms back. Bike feels good now that's it got fresh engine oil. Immediate difference felt is with power delivery when shifting gears, I feel the improved pulling force and better throttle response. Factory fitted brake pads still going strong & both brakes have superb bite. (though even after cleaning pads rear brake is still making that squeeky noise when applied). I've been having low mileage problem since I fiddled with the AFR much and did wheelie practices.. had reported the same to service center guys and they had changed my CO to 2.0 last time.. yesterday it turned out to be 4.0, the technician changed it to 2.0 again and told me this is all they can do to improve the FE. Rest is just what the bike is, nothing we can do. I don't blame them, I've really abused the bike too much lol, and I don't ride sanely. I still need to check if FE is better in normal riding after yesterday's tuning.

            Only problems
Shifting from neutral to 1st and then to 2nd feels hard. It wasn't like this before.
Small vibration from the plastic panel of the left side.

Otherwise, pretty satisfied with the service and the bike.

Muffler is used to cancel out various exhaust sounds in huge level
Used to prevent noise pollution. Ahh, not that I know of, no side effects. .

200NS with FI is being tested already, ABS is only a matter of time now.

How many bottles of fork oil did they use? the forks of 200NS drinks a huge amount of oil. 320 ml in each fork, so it takes 4 bottles of fork oil to fill both forks. Also the oil filter costs 74 rupees here. You have found a good SVC I think.

after changing to 13t sprocket, my fe is 37kmpl

It's only speculation about the 200NS FI being tested around. The 200NS which has been spotted along with other upcoming versions of Pulsar was probably just accompanying those test mules for no good reason. I don't expect ABS for NS from Bajaj.. remember they gave us the wonderful stock euroslip tyres. See how much they cared about rider's safety.
Yes it drank 4 bottles, 1 of the bottle had some oil left. And Yes, the SVC is decent. I guess the actual mechanic who works on NS there is talented. Funny thing is they don't service NS in pro biking zone, instead alongside Discovers, PLatinas and lower CC Pulsars. However the P220 there is serviced in pro biking zone.

If anyone has some lag in your ride or something like your bike is running out of fuel, when there is fuel left over..
Do remove the Tank from the frame and see whether the Air line to the Tank is getting blocked..

2days back before service, they removed mine to replace the filter, that time they saw a Air line to fuel tank as crushed between the Tank and rubber thing..
They had no spares left over, so did some adjustment to it using pliers...

Also those who want split fire cable to fitted on the NS, pls dont go for it..
Its not a direct fit.. You have to modify the stock cable to get it fixed...
                                Its not direct Replacement..
