My mileage has been around 35-38 from the day I got my bike. I dont ride too slow & not very very fast.
You can keep note of following points for good mileage :-
        1. Tyre pressure should be optimum always.
        2. Chain should be in perfect condition in terms of lubrication & slackness.
        3. Avoid habit of sudden braking always, if you have.
        4. Try to keep changing gears as per your speed.
        5. Tunning is the most important point. If its too rich, your mileage will take a big hit. On lean, your ride experience would be horrible but mileage will be good. Hence, perfect balance is always required.

I can only thing of above points. BTW, your mileage figures seems perfect to me. So don't worry.

Done! Have added the link in the first page, so people can download them. But I'd suggest you to make a copy of this via Google Drive, so that people need not register of ScribID and elsewhere. But have added it in the first page for now, if you can make some additions, do let me know, will edit the same.

              Cheers!

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Did another topspeed test on the expressway today, Hit 151-153 kph topspeed... in the process overtook a CBR250r, Duke200 and R15 v1 repeatedly. I had no idea the electronically limited Duke200 has no chance against 200NS in a topspeed run. My NS was overtaking the Duke & CBR with so much pace and ease that I actually had to horn the guys to move aside, as the road space wasn't enough to swerve around. The Duke I can understand, but how come a CBR250r ? The CBR guy was with a pillion though, still what is the top speed of a 250r and how come 200NS overtakes it ? Tail wind was nice btw, that's why the impressive numbers.

I am no pro with bikes , but I think there is a speedometer error with your bike 151-153 seems plausible . How much do you weigh ?
I weigh 97 and have touched 126 limited by the length of clear roads .
And about the Cbr 250r guy , not everyone likes to max out their throttle people tend to limit their speed to 130-140 .

I used the method given in the manual which seems the most accurate to me . fill the petrol to the brim of the tank, then note down the kms on odo. The next time you fill petrol ,fill it up to the brim . the difference between current kms minus the kms when u filled the tank earlier the whole divided by the liters of petrol filled will give you the exact mileage . I get 36.66 mileage with speeds between 85-110 (80%) and 20% city riding .

About learning , actually my friend who has 220 was first going to teach me . I couldn't get the bike to run in the first 2 days , i was letting go of the clutch without enough acceleration . Then he got scared and told me to borrow a 100-150 cc bike but none of my friends own such bikes and r15 is too small for me . So i had my other friend teach me :P . I learnt it in an hour or so and started driving by myself from the very next day , for the first 15 days about 3-4 times by bike stopped because of improper clutch release and then I got accustomed to it .

Wow simply impressed by Bajaj Customer Care Services. As I am not able to find a Pulsar 200 NS dual colour in Assam and also dealers not accepting booking of the vehicle I again dropped a mail to bajaj customer care. And just now they called me from Mumbai confirming what colour I wanted and told me not to worry and they would dispatch the bike to Tinsukia Assam as soon as possible and I would get it in the next three to four days. Just did not expect such great service from Bajaj. Remarkable.
